In the devblog they said they'd try to make it a jack of all trades again, I'd take that as Allo being able to use it's "ambush speed" to ambush and catch faster prey while also having the option to chase after slower prey and conserve it's stamina, so you'd pick how you hunt depending on your target. I'd make Allo's regular running speed just slow enough for Cera and Teno to outrun it but Also faster than Diablo, so I'd imagine it to be like 38-38.5kmph and it's short burst of speed fast enough to catch a Galli or a Carno in short distance before it either quickly runs out of stamina or the speed boost is gone, so if you are smaller you just get out of there when you see one and it can't do much about it if you keep running.

On top of all that it will also be a large game bleeder.. taking down large prey in groups using its bleed to whittle them down

@@Dynosaurus_rex Exactly, it can change it's hunting style depending on the size of it's prey, when it's hunting bigger stuff, instead of using it's ambush speed that uses a lot of stamina it can just run at it's regular speed to conserve it's stamina.

FOR CERA TO OUT RUN IT? ARE YOU INSANE? Allo was literally faster than cera in legacy and still was a fair fight, wtf?! The speed boost will feel more like Path of Titans ability, there is no way for it to be that slow. If anything, it should just be as fast as teno or slightly faster.

@@JELONGreatMrRed Allo was actually a little bit slower than Cera in legacy, Allo's ambush speed was faster than Cera's ambush speed but Cera's sprint was faster than Allo's. Also Allo being faster than Teno ? How is Teno supposed to survive against an Allo that is at least a ton heavier than it ? Also unless they reduce Allo's weight it weighs more than twice as much as the Evrima Cera, a 40kmph+ Allo would just be op specially if it also gets a legacy like ambush speed.

Allo coming with Asutro and Bary sounds kinda crazy. It’s prob gonna go like allo&maia, rex&trike and Bary&austro

@@julianodobler2782the devs said once evrimas gameplay loop is complete they will switch evrima to the main branch. So once elders and mutations are complete and released the loop is complete. So probably some time after that

I agree but it should have some sort of indication and if the allo lets go before it rolls the para is vulnerable but if it’s successful it should leave the allo on dark orange or red

It doesn’t matter if Allo isn’t a ‘glass cannon’, if a very large and dangerous animal like a Parasaurolophus FALLS onto it, it should hurt a LOT. Plus, Allo players are naturally going to group up, so if Para can’t effectively deal with even one, what is it gonna do?

Allosaurus has always remained my favourite dinosaur, I'm really excited to play as this thing when I get the game and it comes out. It will be an anticipated badass mid tier and make itself a really fun playable.

Allosaurus has always been my favourite dinosaur and im just more than huped forbit in evrima. Its good stepping stone for the isle before rex and trike im excited for its mechanics and what it would do for the future. Ngl, i do think it should be faster than cerato but not as agile. But its ambush speed will so quick it can catch a galli or carno if caught off guard. And tbh i do think that it should be equal to Alberto instead of weaker because they both have similar weight, length, and height, and they have oppisite advantages. Allosaurus has speed, and alberto has power. It would be entertaining to see. Anyways, cool video man.

If Allo is gonna be a very strong, very good bleeding but only fast to catch a carno or galli with the speed boost (ambush) im totally okay with it, like if allo fails to ambush you, he has not alot of chance to do the speed boost again as either it will have some sort of cooldown like carno charge or will reduce the turn radius and you can run away from it. I just cant wait to play it and honestly it will fix most of the isle's issues, like the grapple being so f*cking op for the omnis and the stego and diablo overpopulation, maybe even fighting some carnos.

Dude, Just think, Within the next century we may actually get the semi apex tier since we are getting mid tiers this next decade!

You should make a video on mechanic concepts. Like gameplay features that would make the game less like a “sit in a bush for four hours game”.

and we only have to wait 1 year or more to play it!!!...

The coolest dino in the game, no doubt! But the main issue right now is we got more and more hackers running around. I've seen at least one on every session i play the game, wheter it is speedhack on stego, wallhack on pachy, etc. And kinda tired reporting them because you will ended up getting ban for "misinformation"...

really excited for 2034 when we finally get to play it

i'm on a hiatus from this game until dibble is at least released to the live branch, maybe i'll even wait until allo is added hehe 🤭

iirc bleed is it's own thing but it effects your regen speeds instead of draining your hp or stam. So you heal slower and regen stamina slower if you lose blood.

Carno does count as a mid tier, though. That’s his whole thing. He’s a mid tier designed to punch down, kind of like how omni is a small tier who punches up.

I must say only from reading a title. It wont change lot. Just adding 1 playable is just 1 playable and it wont change a major gameplay

Hey Goldfish I don't wanna sound presumptuous but I don't remember anyone saying allosaurus being confirmed as the Secret Dino. I agree easter eggs were shown but without a clear confirmation I just don't want to assume. Unless you have a proper source for confirmation ?

Id would play as stego cuz i will be safe from a single allo but a pack will make me fear and i think it would be fun cuz allos could time their attacks and use their bleed to take me down but they gonna have to get close so i could get a hit into the allo and they may have to stop but i doubt they would

Fr u can never find anyone in the jungle unless u get lucky and randomly walk into there path, i miss the old tracking where u could see there footsteps highlighted from a distance, Instead of having to go exactly where they last went to be able to press Q its so rare which is why ppl go use south plains / these types of hotspots cause its the only way u can actually get food without dying, Literally impossible to find someone via tracking unless u get lucky

Anyone know how much allo will weigh?? If it's a mid tier then carno also has to be a mid tier since carnos actually larger than irl allosaurus, which averaged 1.7 tons, if the isle goes ahead with their oversizing of dinos then I wouldn't be surprised if they made a saurophaganax sized allosaurus, personally I don't think it should go much over 2.3 tons 2.5 kg max that would make it heavier than it's competition, also diablo is way to heavy it's actual size estimates are 1.3-1.4 tons but in game it's 3 tons(?), or about the same size as styracosaurus.

I honestly hope Allo stays over 2.5 tons because the game REALLY needs a carnivore in that size range. Also Cera is 1.3 tons and Allo is clearly much bigger than that. Allo isn't supposed to compete with Cera and Carno it's supposed to be on the same level as an Alberto

It's not even 1 ton irl, imo allosaurus should probably be at 2.5 tons, albertosaurus at 3 and carno is good at 2.1, and baryonyx should be similar to allo if they are changing the sizes of all dinosaurs, probably 2.5 tons as well if not larger. That means we get 2 decent mid tiers one being an aquatic, a fast mid tier, and one that's stronger than the others but doesn't have the best stamina (realistically Alberto should just decimate everything that isn't at least 2 tons heavier than it)

I'd expect Bary to be between Cera and Carno at 1.4-1.5 tons because it just looks about that size in the concept art and having it be Allo sized would overlap too much imo. Carno's size is good as it is, it has different problems, like it's charge being essentially useless because it's impossible to land it on a target that isn't afk.

@@ALunaticWithAShotgun well baryonyx Is bigger than allosaurus and carnotaurus on average, so making it smaller would be a huge let down, it should be allo level or between carno and allo in terms or weight, but it's speed on land and stamina will of course be much lower to make sure they stay by the water, from the concept art Baryonyx seems to be like a honey badger, it simply does not gaf, even against a deinosuchus it just slams its head to the ground. Ideally it should be 2.2-2.4 tons, making allo slightly stronger on land (though allo might not be as much of a heavy hitter) but baryonyx could still compete with allo and carnotaurus and not have the mobility to catch ceratos outside of water.

Allo will be a game changer, for me atleast. The only fun dino to play.

the only concern i always had with the isle is the little presence of vegetarians/omnivores compared to carnivores

I miss when Maia was carnos enemy and not allosaurus’s…

Evrima is trying to be as realistic as possible, so I doubt Cerra would be able to put up any fight against an Allo that is double it's size.

@@goldfishmentality Well from all the changes they have made with Diablo, he still remains to be a mid tier as it currently stands. Even a 2 Ton dibble would be considered mid tier, it vastly overshadows things like Carno/Teno in terms of strength and power. The same can be said for Allo. But, I do agree with your sentiment that we need these bigger animals before adding things like Rex and Trike, especially in Rex's case because I don't see him getting enough food from our current roster(unless Stego stands a 0% fighting chance and just gets rolled)

I like how half the video is you talking about allos grapple and how it could be so much better than omnitahs. I personally think the grapple is needed on omnitah to actually make solos a half decent threat. (Just nerf it a bit.)

Imo solo Omnis shouldn't be a threat to larger animals, they should only be a threat when they have enough numbers to compensate for their size. Solo omnis takin down 2-3 ton animals shouldn't be a thing because when that's the case there is no point in having larger animals take longer to grow, why spend the extra time growing a bigger dino if you are not going to get an advantage ? On top of that why would a solo Omni need to hunt bigger prey anyway, something it's own size should be more than enough to fill it's stomach and get diets.

The grapple should allow you a fighting chance against these creatures. Solo omnitahs should not pose a threat to something like carno.

@@Utahraptor777 Oh yea I %100 agree with that. Though even solo Omni is horrifyingly overpowered right now, specially with some of the mutations. Like yesterday I was playing fully grown Carno and a fresh adult Omni absolutely melted my hp so quickly that I just gave up and sat down (my bleed was still at like %40 but my hp was at red), though he spared me so I am thankful for that.
