I actually loved theri in legacy where it was the loud glass cannon, while the way to kill the very rare camaras was to bleed em out slowly as giga

I think the main issue with sauropods is their mobility, I get that they have to be the slowest to balance the fact that they are the biggest but that doesn't mean they have to be painfully slow. This is why I think that the decrease on speed in proportion to the increase in size should be small. Liket he differecne should be barely enough to make sure that the smaller animal can get away from the bigger one. For example, a Shant's trot and sprint should be only around 0.3-0.5 kmph slower than a Stego and Camara only around that much slower than a Shant. Yea I get that there is a massive size difference between these animals but they shouldn't be so slow that it's a pain just to get around.

Something to also take into account is the fact that these animals would have taken Massive strides, covering a lot of ground in a single step. The idea that sauropods are Sluggish and painfully slow just isn't right, their muscles and bones are definitely strong enough to be able to move at a decent pace

What they should do is make the food requirement for sauropods fairly high so that they have a reason to spar. This could be a dinosaur where forming and maintaining a herd is actually a detriment to its survival just because of the high food cost which would be good because I doubt any player would want to take on five of these things at once.

I’ve always thought camarasaurus was a perfect fit for the isle and wish it was the one receiving attention for EVIRMA from the start rather than Magy (which I’d rather just not exist). Camara is roughly the size of Shantu which means it’s still susceptible to predation by in game carnivores while still being larger than most of the roster, and because of its more modest size it’s still surprisingly mobile in a sprint. What’s really bizarre to me is that Camara has had an…..oddly troubled history in this game because it was first implemented back in legacy with no attacks whatsoever for some reason? and *kept that way for months*. Then when the Thenyaw map came around they finally decided to give it the defense it needed.

To be honest a Shunasaurus or a Saltasaurus would be a better fit then the Magy because they're smaller than most long necks but not so small that they'll get destroyed by anything that's bigger then them or around the same size as them.

I think the best option for a giant sauropod is that even if it is giant multple large theropods could bite it and leave causing a infection. Due to the giant heart and body needing alot lf pumping of blood causing a infection weakining it then they come back and weaken the already weakened sauropod. In phases. Also maybe making a limited number of sauropods allowed per server. And once they die more vegetation happens near the area. So all creatures benefits from it. So if there is a drought or a bad condition killing a sauropod with help the environment.

I play prior extinction and the sauropods they have are apatosaurus, diplodocus and the fictional acanthocaudia. I like them cuz they are big enough so that they wont get attacked by most creature but also small enough so that carnivores could hunt em.

I would love to see a symbiotic relationship with the two sauropods we have so far. Imagine a large herd made up of 2 to 3 adult Camarasaurus possible a couple of juveniles and 3 to 5 Mags running along with them. Would be the perfect sight to see.

Camar also had a strong bite.

Camarasaurus is the only sauropod I'm optimistic about. The only thing I'm iffy about is its new head. The rest of the design is fine, but the head just looks kind of weird.

Well I would hope get sea creatures in The Isle, like Mosasaurus or Elasmosaurus.

Another sauropod that would be a fun addition would be Atlasaurus A very fast medium sized sauropod Around the same size if not a little smaller than Camara, but faster, a proportionally shorter neck and very long legs Would make for a perfect glass canon sauropod, delivering devastating kick attacks and most likely also use its tail for extra range but has to be careful and not get too cocky around a large carnivore

Sauropods are in a class of their own. I'd say Super Apex or something along those lines their immense power and size will make them an insanely fun challenge to hunt in packs

I think sauropods lile JFDs Omeisaurus will actually ne good in the game but theres still a Sauropod missing, that can handle 2 apex carnis but cant 3 like in that strength class

I might be a little late but imma do it anyways I think a lot more sauropods can be used in dinosaur games effectively in my mind the mindset you should have is apexes can’t beat them alone but in pairs it is a fair fight. and as I said in my eyes a lot more fit in when you look at their sizes such as diplodocus, apatosaurus,camarasaurus, brachiosaurus, giraffatitan and even some smaller genus of mamenchisaurus

Im looking so forward for this dinosuar to be added into evrima, but the thing I wonder is on how long it will take you to grow it. If u compare it with the deinosuchus, who would be pretty small next to the camara, takes about 5 hrs to grow.

I say the big guys like diplo can definitely work, just make them all very weak to bleed and venom, you could also give dinosaurs like giga and Carcar,special abilities to bleed them out, or just straight up eat chunks out of them. Herbivores like trike would also want to beef with these guys and bleed them out themselves for eating all their food

I stand by the opinion that prior extinction did both sauropod hunters and sauropods the best in terms of playing as them and playing against also the thing its slapping looks to have 2 fingers so I think it may be an albert or rex.

First of all, new sub Mr. fish. Second, Sauropods being some kind of glass cannon maybe? i mean, the isle have and are going to have a lot of predators in diferent tiers, that will help to control population and not allow many of this behemoths reach adulthood. This would solutionate the part of balance as playable, being slow but strong, and being it gimmick... play carefully and play asap to stop worring on some carnis? maybe? I mean, as happened with stegos, i expect players believing they are inmortal once they reach adulthood, but dying to a well coordinated giga or perishing in a cliff. About the playable itself... maybe juveniles being faster than subadults or adults, at cost are each time are more massive and for that, more visible but also, stronger but slower? i mean, i expect it being a slow growing playable, would need rewards us as players to took our time with it.

You think something like Shunosaurus would fit well enough into the game based on what you discussed here? Always wanted it to be implented in a dinosaur game someday.

Beasts of Bermuda actually does Sauropods really well with their Apatosaurus.

Im hoping we get more sauropods into the game that gives it a unique Mechanic and not buff it too much ,im hoping we get diplodocus,amargasaurus,shunosaurus,or alamosaurus.

I mean sauropods have already been done correctly once before Apatosaurus in Beasts of Bermuda is actually really fun to play. And are equally fun to fight. So yeah, sauropods have already been done correctly.

i like playing huge sauropods, I'm one of those boring players hahaha, but still, I think having them in the game is not that bad, as just a few people would play them. But yeah, camara is the perfect balanced dino to add.

If i have to play another sauropod that EATS FROM BUSHES im gonna cry. Just let us eat the trees PLEASE. Sauropods should be a force of nature to most other playables, leaving defoliated trees and giant footsteps in the terrain.

honestly i hope they dont get added unkillable herbivore apexes are a big problem, and stegos already give a biiig challenge for anything that isnt a dilo also, i've experienced sauropods in path of titans, they are that bad of an addition since these walking mountains will not care about anything and just, walk and kill accurate, maybe healthy for a survival pvp game? absolutely no
