Moved out of the home in March, at 27, and I agree with every single point. It's a bit sad how most women go from the parent's house to a house with a husband. Living alone teaches unique lessons! I'm glad I'm privileged enough to learn them ❤️

Yep, I agree that if you're in a toxic home situation with your parents or siblings, you should move out to get your own space. If you're not able to buy, get the cheapest rental situation you can afford e.g. a house share vs renting your own place and then save up to buy your own place while renting.

Moving into my very own luxury apartment was the best thing I ever did. I was 5 hours away from family. We had a pool, gym, movie theater, multiple lounges, unlimited supply of various teas and coffees in the lobby… it was heavenly! I learned so much about myself and discovered my passion for decorating, fitness, and fashion. Now I’m in medical school and have roommates which has been a challenge, after having my own space for so long. While it is nice to have company during the long days and nights of studying, I miss having my own space. But very soon I’ll have my own place to call home again. All the points you made in this video are very true and relatable 💕

I actually have some advice for those ladies that come from cultures that do allow living with their partner before marriage. Don't do it anyway. While it is not always the case, some partners will live with you forever without popping a question, because - why would they? you already act as his wife, so if getting married is important for you, this information is something worth taking into account, so you know where to set boundaries.

Love this Jade... As I've recently moved to my new place hence mortgage plus bills whilst I'm still doing my postgrad which I'm also funding...the financial side of things sounds scary sometimes. Buuuut I've learned a lot about money especially how to be smart with it. And yep, men should learn how to cook and do laundry as well...I actually think that it's such a basic requirement to cook and clean for yourself, No🤔

I'm 26 and will likely be moving out on my own in about a year. My parent died when I was 17 so I lived with family for a year while I finished Highschool. I then moved in with friends but quickly jumped into living with a significant other for two years. I then lived with another family member (due to lack of funds ) and have now lived with another significant other for about 4 years. I'm excited yet terrified! I've been paying my own way or part of my own way prior to moving out at 18, I've always been good about saving but never learned proper budgeting long term. I'm trying to learn more now so that in a year it wont be as drastic of a shift.

I’ve lived by myself for many years now and love it although I have become a bit of a recluse. I can’t imagine sharing my home with anybody. Since the pandemic I won’t even let people in my home. With my OCD the thought of another person using my bathroom or leaving stuff where it doesn’t belong fills me with dread.

You learn to be self sufficient, be independent and most of all be responsible. You know and must remember to pay your Bills on time. From your Rent, Electricity and your Cell Phone aka Mobile. You know when your credit card bill is due and you can learn to budget wisely and well. You know you don't have a parent to remind you to get up for work on time. You also learn how important it is too cook, clean and do your laundry and you make a schedule on when to do it. I live at home with My mother since my dad died but I am very disciplined when it comes to room and board and I help pay with other bills ie house insurance, house tax, I drive her around since she doesn't know how to drive. My cousin lives on his own and he is a wreck because his parents never taught him. You are a wonderful role model.

I think it’s important for women to live alone to learn how to run a home, master self discipline and independence. Having said that I also think if a woman wants to get married too much independence isn’t good and living alone is a breeding ground for that.

  • @winnieboateng5334

Can you explain why too independence from a woman isn't good? I feel like if a woman has been single for long time and has never been in serious relationship. And she got to do the most in her life by herself. I think is normal a woman will feel or act that way too much independent and is use to it.
