Narcissists will do anything they can to keep their ego surviving. That's why the key to this is becoming aware of the ego dynamics and what then you can do to stop playing the role that allows them to continue to get that self entitlement. Now in this video, I'm going to show you exactly what to do and why you may have attracted a narcissist into your life.
Welcome back to another video. My name is Aaron and I help people expand their consciousness. Now in this video we're going to be going deep on understanding the ego dynamics of narcissism. Understanding narcissism may be a little bit of sociopathic tendencies of understanding this dynamic and it always blows me away because many of you may know some of my story with this, but when I was between the ages of seven to 15 I had somebody that was considered to be a mix of a narcissist and associate path.
That was my ex step mom in my life and I share that story. Sometimes I'll share a little bit more about it here. I'm sure maybe if you watch my videos a lot, you've probably heard it a couple of times. However, the thing that blows me away is when I go out in public, if I meet people that have watched the channel, I get so many people that have been in a similar position where they've known maybe one someone they knew as a narcissist, maybe someone they're dating, they find themselves dating someone that's a narcissist or sociopath and it's more common than I could ever even imagine.
That's why I'm making this video today and there's a perspective about it that I think will help you to understand how to navigate through it. That changed everything for me. I shared this with my dad because it's my ex step mom.
I never got to talk to her again after my dad divorced her when I was 15 years old. I don't have to deal with her anymore. However, my dad who has my half sisters with him, so two daughters with her, my ex step mom, he still got to deal with her and he still deals with the different energy dynamics that go on and there's some things that I told them to do and interactive ways of interacting with my ex step mom that has made it so much easier for him and I'm going to share with you those in this video.
Now, first off, let's kind of define what a narcissist is a narcissist, let's understand it from a perspective that I want to share with you today. A narcissist is somebody who is emphasizing their ego and their sense of self importance to the extent that they live on that validation.
They live on that entitlement they live on in a way siphoning the energy from their environment and a narcissist and a stereotypical way. People look at a narcissist as somebody that's always looking at the selves in the mirror, maybe somebody that always brings the conversation back to themselves.
A narcissist is someone that will do everything they can to survive and survive. Not just like eat, sleep, and have shelter survive in the sense of identity for the way they view themselves and also their level of self. So a narcissist in our society or just in the world in general is more common than I ever thought.
I made one video on it. It was on why narcissists don't get their karma and in it I talk about that. Uh, and it's, it's not what you think. It's not like they don't get their car though. But you'll watch the video. You'll see what I mean by that. I'll go and link that in the top of the description box below.
But I talk about the energy dynamics that go on with this. Now here is the thing to understand about it when it comes to this is this is also about understanding and having compassion that helps a lot. Now what I mean by that, you may say, well, I'm not there yet and this person is treating me a certain way. Why is this happen...

My mom is a major narcissist, my childhood was stressful because I’d have to walk on eggshells 24/7. She’d break furniture, hit me with random things, yet be confused on why I would lash out occasionally. I’d be ordered to look for an item and if I don’t find it in a split second, I’d have to hear countless insults until I’m so broken down that I’m in tears. She’s always been incredibly draining towards me. Every night she would always get drunk, yell at me for hours, argue with her boyfriend, cops would be called. Then she’d dump all the chores, making dinner, laundry, babysitting my little sister all on me. She’ll bring up how I’m a failure and wanted an abortion with me. I couldn’t bring friends over, she’d make focusing on school impossible. I’d constantly be blamed for all her problems. So glad I’ve avoided contact for 2 years. It was the healthiest decision of my life. Now I’m focused on finding my purpose and what makes ME happy. I hear now supposedly she’s “changed”. Yeah right. My guess is that she’s targeted someone else to take her rage out on. 🙄 My sisters got punished sometimes, but didn’t get the same treatment I always had. So of course, they’re brainwashed to believe I’m the bad guy. Of course, I was jealous and bullied them sometimes. I had some anger issues in the past, but can you really blame me?? At least my dad knows the truth so I’m not alone.

Truth, but I must pass along a personal observation. Narcissists watch with eagle eyes and will do all that they can to prevent others from rising. They don't want to share their space at the top of the food chain. Their biggest rivals are bright and beautiful young people. Children caught up in these dysfunctional systems are routinely punished for adopting positive behaviors that help them to raise their vibration. As the child grows up, s/he unwittingly attracts relationships with familiar entities, who simply employ more covert strategies of abuse but have the same agenda: Your energy exists only to feed my ego! After years of being criticized and ridiculed for meditating, improving dietary practices, going to Church, going to work, going to college, seeking counseling, having friends, and MAKING the team? It is difficult to remain positive or even keep trying! We live in a world that rewards success, self confidence, and the outward appearance of health & beauty. Hard work, integrity, compassion and yes, even startling natural beauty and ability can lead to hideous bullying of the unsuspecting and unprotected. Aaron Doughty's existence and success is deeply encouraging. because today fewer people fall into this category. Moving forward into a higher vibration doesn't occur magically, it requires effort. People who, like Doughty, and probably you too, transmute these energies on a personal level and teach others to recognize and stop rewarding this behavior, are THE revolutionary thinkers of this age. With so much at stake, with so much negativity and fear energy clouding the future of all earthly creatures, in you I forsee the meek inheriting the earth.

There was even a dog with puppies ....all dead. He was jealous that we were showing the animals so much love. My heart broke for all of them. While our family mourned. he sat there with a smirk on his stupid face. Gosh I hated that I feared him so much back then. He was so very wicked!

Within the past year or so I’ve just begun to learn how to actually leave these relationships and detach from these while still maintaining integrity and compassion as best as I can. A few hours before I came across your new upload- this video- I realized someone I’ve been getting close to for a while has been using me and this just confirmed my instincts and abilities to create a boundaries and take back my power in a healthy way. I’ve watched a few of your videos. The problem I have is the victim mentality. Narcs aren’t the way they are on a conscious level. It came about usually due to extreme child abuse, neglect, or narc parents. I was abused and have my own problems. Having said that I was on the receiving end of a narc, but instead of the victim mentality I feel sorry for her. She could be an amazing person without that. She was molested, raped, and had a monster of a step mom. She also lost an infant 6 ago. Drank from the age of 9. 29 now. I can see why she is the way she is. I hate what happened. It hurt me a lot. The damage they do is real, but I hate the way people portray them as evil people that woke up one day and decided to be pricks. Instead of being a “victim” I just learned from it so I recognize it it again. There are ways to deal with them. In fact I’m waiting for her to finish her current fling to see if she comes back my way. I’m armed now with knowledge that I’m dying to try out to see what happens. In her case she does know something is wrong with her. She admits that. I don’t think she knows what however

Having a narcissist in my life for 12 years I understand the havoc they can reek. What I’ve come to know is this - to move on and have the advantages that these experiences bring YOU MUST FORGIVE THAT PERSON AND YOURSELF. For me, learning to understand we are all connected was the key. Aaron’s videos have shown me what that looks like. I am not the same person I was last April when I went home from the hospital after suffering a series of stress-related strokes. I believe that was my kick in the pants to get my awakening started and the catalyst was my relationship with this person (and all the fall-out it brought with it). Today, in the midst of these world-wide happenings, I am AMAZED to actually feel gratitude for all that has occurred; I’m amazed that fear no longer touches me. I’m amazed that I’m at peace.

I just ended a relationship with a narcissist that I loved so deeply for 6 years. We have a house we were remodeling. Now I’m left without his expertise and his ego is basking in the reality that this house remodel would go easier with him that without and is using the opportunity to mentally abuse me like he did for years making me feel not good or smart enough to pull this off without him. It’s horrible but empowering. I will never allow another person to make me feel small.

When coming out of a narcissistic relationship, you experience a form of existential crisis. Sartre explains that humans have all freedom, and that freedom can actually cause them to become fearful and experience apathy. The fear of freedom, is the fear of the unknown. And this is what makes it hard to leave a narcissistic relationship, it is that false sense of security that comes from the control. On top of that, they make you afraid of your own freedom by minimalizing the connection you have to a grounded sense of freedom via family and friends.

Most of all did not carry my abuse into the next generation. My children were parented- by me- with total love and acceptance and ZERO physical, psychological, and emotional abuse- mixed with neglect. I am so very happy that you came out on the other side, a loving and compassionate human being. Me too! Thank you for ALL of your videos. They are an enormous source of help to me always.

Food for thought: a soul may have perfectly healthy ego going into this dynamic in a relationship and slowly that erodes away. The lesson I needed to learn was the abundance of energy I KNEW was mine COULD actually be depleted to deficit by the "energy sink". (That was how I thought of him, like a heat-sink you attach to an electronic component. I recognized he didn't consume my energy with conscious intent; & the more energy I gave him the more energy he needed in an unhealthy addict-like tolerance ratio. So this situation was as dysfunctional for him as for me). I had to "see" I could be drained dry to believe it was possible (I was a person who could dance until dawn and then work a 24-hour shift, sleep straight 6 and do it all again). I also had to learn that propping him up with my energy was the opposite of help to him. His depression, dysfunction and self-absorption became all consuming. This is another lesson to be learned from those who siphon the energy of others. I don't like the labels, especially negative labels. You love them and want to offer relief, but if relief doesnt actually relieve, instead it creates appetite, you're not helping. To say he was very resistant to being denied my energy first when it was simply too depleted for me to have any to "share" and later when I stepped away and actively broke the conduit, well resistant is a deliberate understatement. My resolve and reasoning had to be reinforced and repaired by my guides and guardians countless times. If I ever doubted their existence or power... anyway, love and light and maybe another lesson that resonates a little differently for those who don't see themselves in the scenarios mentioned in the vid.

Hi, I left a narsists and now he's stalking me, getting a restraining order mite anger him or wouldn't work as he can be as silent as a cat. Not only do I feel/see his energy near my windows and smell his cigeret smoke I also have heard gravel shift and twigs snap very close by, to clarify this even more a dog hear has been on edge looking at where the noses have come from, growled and barked. He also has a history of tracking people down with no known addresses. Any advise on how to keep me and the others I live with safe? I seam to still be bate to him even when I don't speak to him over the phone. Authorities couldn't help this is energetic I feel and I am not face to with him in person so yes Arron is right on many things but energetically I think other stratigys apply but I'm not sure what they are yet. Any ideas on energetic strategy's that could be used as protection against a narsists? I am already using the fear not strategy.

I live with my family, both of my parent and my 2 sisters are narcissistic, I wonder why am I being introvert and depressed so much living with them. Then I realised Aaron said about the power that we are losing to them. They (narcissist) are the ones that make you weak, and it could also makes your Immune system weak and vulnerable. I used to get sick with fever 😷 like every 3-4 months. The environment I lived was so toxic, actually my story is very similar to Aaron. When you already drained your power to them, you find yourself helpless when you try to meet other people. First thing you need to do is get back your power like what Aaron told us, then you can see the difference when you meet other people.

Much love to your inner child 🤗🧡 Thank you for this video🙏 I too was a child of a narcissist. A narcissist who was also not that present. I “compensated” this by getting into a long term relationship with someone very... affectionate. At least initially. Something felt very off from the beginning but he adored me so much, was always there for me (khm khm codependent) that I didn’t realize this. He manipulated me into giving up my dreams.also, I couldn’t finish college. I was stuck living in a foreign country where I couldn’t speak the language. Because he wanted to work in his home country. Without getting into further of this deep dysfunctional mess. I consider to have 2 birthdays - one of my actual birth & second when I got this toxic waste out of my life. I have never felt a greater relief! If you have someone like this in your life - please be strong, you can get through this! Heal your inner child & love yourself to the max. 💪🧡 Take the lessons & never look back! Much love 🙌

Listening to Aaron tell this story is something I’ve done many times but for some reason hearing that things got taken away in this video, touched a nerve. I moved almost 2,000 miles away from my abusive ex and quickly realized my new roommate is a narcissist. It’s been an interesting observation for me, not only “what in me needs attention that keeps attracting this kind of person in my life” but also how I guard my energy with this roommate. I can tell when they want narcissistic supply from me, I can feel that energy that they push outward as a means to try to get power, and instead of resisting or fighting or avoiding like I used to with my ex, I will literally just redirect the energy back on them by asking questions. “Is that how you feel?” “What should we do about that?” “What is the best course of action in this situation?” They go from yelling and talking about how EVERYONE else is wrong and attacking them, to crying and falling apart like a child. It is amazing to take your ego out of a situation like this and observe how much someone else’s ego controls them to the point that they will very easily fall apart when they aren’t validated and people don’t submit to them (but also don’t fight them and therefore give them an excuse to play the victim). People with narcissistic supply (empaths) have ALL the power over the narcissist. They’re really good at tricking you into believing that you need THEM, when they DESPERATELY need you. Everything Aaron is saying is 100% right. Once you train a narcissist to understand that they get ZERO of your mental and emotional energy unless they are human and vulnerable, you watch how quickly they disarm their irritating bravado. I cannot believe how many years I put up with this behavior from a partner but I am so glad I learned, and that people like Aaron are talking about this

This is a much needed topic, even though I despise re-living it. I have been through a lifetime of this crap. I am in my fifty's and over the last couple of years I have removed these people from my life. Including in the workplace, quit that job. I can't handle their self entitlement, self seeking, other destroying personalities. I currently have an immediate family member who is a psychopath narcissist and she is abusing her family, children & my mom who bought into her lies that she would be cared for.( My mom has alzheimers) And this person has been nothing but a money sucking sponge her entire life and has also isolated my mom, so that no one else can see her or talk to her. Authorities refuse to listen to the truth. It is hard for me to have compassion in my heart for anyone so abusive. I have dreams of taking her out for real. But doing my best to raise my vibration in hopes of a positive outcome somehow. Thanks for sharing Aaron.

It was explained if approached in a negative manner the universe will send more of the same back to you. I believe because of the law of attraction, it will return to you. “These negative people are here to teach us” was the most important take away for me today, so should we thank them and then say “no thank you”? I usually don't like to comment on any videos because -sometimes- it can be redundant to praise the KZreadrs but this man deserves praises. Thank you, Aaron, for explaining the key aspect to deal with a narcissist: never, never feed their energy. Thank you for this precious and timely information because, right now, I'm playing an isolation game over the quarantine since I'm severing all communications with those that feed on my need to please. I'm still working with my, incredibly repetitive, pack of narcissists. They're not the violent kind; they're the manipulative and self-centered kind. How to deal with them? How to turn off the "complacency mode" and regain my power? Compassionate energy might be the answer.

My mom is an abusive narcissist who gets angry all the time. She has a lot of fits, argues with herself, and is really negative. Lately I've been thinking about how to stop allowing her to steal my energy. And it comes down to being in such a high vibe myself that I am not affected by what she does. It helps to focus on the good and let go of the bad, even if that means ignoring a toxic person to move on with your own life without getting distracted.

I’ve always loved your videos , but I feel so much more connected to you after hearing all of this. You give me hope that my daughter will come through her experience strong like you. My narcissistic ex boyfriend legally (through courts and lies and manipulative games) ‘stole’ my youngest daughter. He severely punished her if she showed love or loyalty to me - attacked my life to the point that I had to walk away from the fight and that meant her. I have not seen her since she was 6 and she just turned 15. She’s an angel. She was the most perfect baby and little girl. My family misses her every day. The woman he married who became her stepmom is worse than him. Ive struggled with why.. why does nothing bad ever happen to him? He was rich and has become richer.. years of him getting away with torturing her -me -and my whole family. I don’t dwell- I stay positive I manifest forward - and hope to reunite with her one day. I have learned to have boundaries- and to read that narcissistic pedophile energy immediately. I’ve shared this video in the hope that all the givers -the sweet ones -the empaths- will learn to take our power BACK! 🙏🏻 Aaron ✨

I have experienced this in a 3 year relationship, I have been on an incredibly awesome journey claiming back my power, I still have yet to want love again, I feel safe being alone... still have a bit more work to do

Wow! What a childhood. I can't believe a parent would give power to a partner that is not the parent of their child/children to someone else. Energy never lies. Even as a child you picked up on her energy. Glad you went through what you went through to get that life experience 🙏🥰

A lot of parents give away their power to someone else. Because the narc makes them feel safe, like they can rely on em in the difficulty of raising a child, because the narc seems strong and in charge. It s a double wound for the child : the abuse of the stepmom or stepdad and the betrayal of the parent who could not protect the child from the narc. You love your parent but you are also so angry at them. And then you forgive...because at the end of the day, we are all deeply the same: the parent, the narc, the child. All wounded. And where there is a wound there is Strength and Healing ;0)) 🌻✊ blessed be
