The fact that she thinks she can dictate the guest list of her DAUGHTERS' wedding tells me all I need to know about her. She's ALWAYS the poor, innocent victim and everyone else is a liar and is "ganging up on her", is "attacking her" and is "treating her badly". I really think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Mom is ridiculously entitled to think she has the right to demand that her daughter needs to turn her back on own family members because she has to take mommy's side.

I just found out my nieces boyfriend is proposing in a couple of weeks. Her mother is my sister and she is a malignant narcissist. I have a feeling I need to take notes on what this precious aunt did for this sweet young lady. My sister is going to all the opportunities to make it abt her even tho she's had 4 marriages (and divorces) of her own to plan. She ruined my wedding day by causing a scene w the venue owner 5 minutes before I was to walk down the isle and was kicked out. My inlaws had spent alot of money for us to have a dream wedding and the venue owners were their good friends. She claims someone walked in on her dressing but she wouldn't move out from In front of the door that was being opened when I asked her to come to the back of the dressing room. She had also tried to pick a fight w my daughter earlier that day while we were decorating and I shut it down quickly. She was going to get the attention one way or another. It's going to take everything in me to have to see her to be there for my niece but I promised her I would and I won't leave her w out a mother figure during her special day.

It's nice she was there for her but the way she was talking in the video she does actually seem pretty cunning there. She was definitely trying to rub things in her sister's face and that's not right either. They should all want everyone to have healthy relationships with one another. She should be sad for her niece and sad for herself that she didn't get to have her mother there to help pick the dress and all the ladies didn't get to share that experience together

Peace ✌️🌱 Healthy support, efforts, and support does not boast. When you love, you are doing it well with gentleness and self control. There would be patience and long suffering (even when there is an impossible, irrational and over the top family member /anyone) we would exercise self control... We would reflect these attributes in front of them and behind closed doors. When it's love it does not boast on how good they are and what they are doing for the next person who had been neglected, or rejected or anything. If anything the adults whom supposedly care about their niece and granddaughter would encourage her not to be disrespectful and resentful but would and should have made efforts in going to counseling. Instead of encouragement and allowing such ugliness to breed they would have taught her to forgive and even if her mom was this big horrible monster its nothing she has done. Love would have shown this young lady that her mom was unwell and needed help. If her mom is unable to control her behaviors, it should not be rubbed in by the events that would be taking place. There is many ways to defuse a situation where there is an unhealthy person who cannot rationale or function in a normal environment. The mother is hurting inside. The grandmother is hurting inside. The daughter went from hurting to complete resentment. After awhile that no longer works that just becomes bitterness and hatred. Can we blame a young lady for feeling that way, of course not. Her mom did do something awful. But at some point in your life... You are going to have to grow up and reason within yourself and have understanding that this is not about you. Especially, if there was a healthy relationship before, that something is definitely wrong and it's not because of you but hey, my mom is ill, I am wondering if we could get her genuine help. And not a social platform show that reveals the story on TV. And if it was the mom she is desperate and crying out for help. Love is gentle and kind. It helps and encourages. Hatered, reminds you of all your wrongs, backbites, selfish ambitions, envy, hate in your heart for another is murder in the heart, revelries, contentions, taking pleasure in someone else's brokeness, and failures /loneliness. Does the mother, aunty, daughter and grandmother need help. Yep, they all do. If we are to judge a situation it has to be an honest judgment and not a biased opinion or choosing a side or who better represent the person, or self, or who did what wrong. Quite simply we don't put others down regardless of their behavior. There comes a time to address bad behavior but it should be in a controlled environment and with the motives and care for the person.

@@marieknight9385 I can see it too. Listen the mother is wrong. No doubt there. The Aunt is genuinely supportive and that's awesome but she is definitely getting joy out of this hurting her sister. It really is written all over her face and how she spoke. They smiling and emphasizing that "I" in getting to be the one there with her picking out the dress. Oh yeah it was I and not you hahaha haha. If she really wasn't trying to rub it in her face she would have just said that her niece looked beautiful in the dress. That alone implies she was present for her at the fitting. Pointing it out with that weird smile on her face was for sure calculated.

@@saramarshall2957 As someone who is the "supportive aunt" I can say that any "weird smile" was probably due her being glad that her sister is being called out and she is being recognized for the effort she makes finally. and there is nothing "calculated about that. Sister's don't owe sister's respect if she doesn't deserve it
