a couple problems with this video 1. Mojang confirmed that the potato dimension update is not testing grounds for any future features. Its a buggy mess and took a short time to make. 2. Mojang has already added new dimensions as jokes, its not very hard for them to actually make dimensions 3. Mojang is not adding any new dimensions until all current dimensions are fully updated

Its literally called "the end", like you're at the very edge of reality itself. I don't think they're working now on a bigger update while making the finishing touches for 1.21. 1.20 was also feature-complete in the beginning of April last year, so people saying that 1.21 was "finished" before than other recent updates is a lie.

I don't think they will add a sculk dimension. If anything I think most of the features IF THEY DO add them, will be used for the end and it would make sense. I think the end will get the nether treatment and add new structures and biomes.

I feel like ever since the combat update, and especially the caves and cliffs update mojang have Been scared of adding new content as they are worried about loosing popularity due to a lackluster/bad update, Like what has happened in the past, leading them to make(in my opinion) insignificant changes to the core gameplay and world, notable changes like this is the cherry grove, chiseled bookshelf, camel’s and in general the trails and tails updated. 1.22 needs to be big ,successful and most importantly bold ,as it’s one of the only ways of gaining popularity back, and satisfy the community. I hope it comes in the form of a massive revamp of the end like they did with the nether, the reason why I think it’s going to be the end and not a new dimension is because of comments made by mojang in the past stating that they will not make a new dimension before they are satisfied with all 3 current dimensions and because of the small hints they have made over they past month or two. 1.21 is a good sign of them going in the right direction as it’s offers a unique challenge, with new and exciting gameplay mechanics, and movement in the forms of the trial spawners, and vaults, breeze changes, mace, ominous trials ad so on.

For everyone saying the devs spent most of the update time on the april fools joke just know that most of the work on that was done in the devs freetime. Also the april fools update was made through easy and rushed means as said by kingbdogz.

I swear the minecraft community acts like spoilt kids sometimes. Not every update is going to be the biggest most legendary update ever. The fact that you get an update for free for the last 10+ years is insane in itself considering the original plan was for minecraft to release these updates as DLCs.

The Minecraft community is impossible to please. Even if they do an End update, people will say its not good enough or that its "not Minecrafty enough." Its insufferable. The number of people praising the goofy potato april fools update is staggering, even though if they had actually added it in vanilla people would hate it. 1.21 is amazing, game changing even (literally, because a bunch of stuff is now data driven, allowing for more options for map and data pack developers).

While you make a valid point, there are two counter points: 1. bedrock modding isn't close to what java modding it 2. we can all agree to play vanilla minecraft servers, it' much more difficult for everyone to agree to play a modded server and find a community around it (but not impossible)

Revamping the end while adding a new dimension would take a while so i doubt that they will add both in the same update

Quite a few flaws. 0:00 Where tf did ya get the information that 1.21 development has been cut? It seems quite unlikely considering how it went last time. 1:14 PURPLE EYES BLACK DRAGON 3:28 Trust me, no one forgot. Anyways, the End needs to be updated first. 4:05 A Mojang employee had already stated that this is not true, and that it was quite easy to program. Not to mention that a lot of it would need quite a bit of refining if it were added, since it's both broken and op. 5:25 Kingbdogz has stated himself that if he were to work on a new dimension, he would want it to be very different from the aether. 7:11 The bundle is the most likely thing to be added tbh, but probably won't. You can actually enable the bundle by going into experamental features, so we kinda already got it. 7:30 Minecraft currently has the most players on average per month ever. Though admittedly, my source (google) may be wrong. 7:57 I do not think 1.22 will be adding a new dimension, as would be EXTREMLY unlikely, so no sub and like for u. My guess would be 1.26 if we are lucky.

Hey, fellow content creator here, something I think you should try doing is using more of your own footage. Even if you give credit to someone in your video, if you don't have their explicit permission to use their footage (Mojang allows usage of trailer footage for videos, for example), they can DMCA your video and rip it off the internet. For example, you use ibxtoycat's footage in this video a lot and... it has nothing to do with the actual topic you're discussing. This is all footage you could have gathered on your own to make the video really interesting. Flashy graphics and fast subtitles don't make up for footage that could have been your own unique style. Just a suggestion, though. I totally understand if this isn't the kind of thing you want to hear. I just think it is important to find your voice and your style when making content so that people come for you and not for whatever generic opinion you're giving out using other people's footage. Not saying that is what you're doing, only that it is a trend on this news/video essay sub genre of Minecraft content. Best of luck! Congrats on 2k subs! :D

Just gonna say that there is not even a possibility that 1.22 will add a sculk dimension. Mojang has said that they will not add a new dimension until they have completely updated all of the current ones, and since the end has not been updated in 8 years...

while like everyone is saying that mojang is lazy, let me get this straight they arent, they are hard at work with making new stuff but it all is bogged down by the several layers of bureaucracy each and every thing has to go through to get accepted. This is why the april fools updates are so creative and big because they dont take them seriously enough to go through the same process

While I don't agree with most of what you say, I will admit that the End is long due for an update. Based on the technical changes they've been making and them trying to optimise the game in 1.21. That would mean that 1.22 is a much bigger update. Would make sense since Minecraft turns 15 this year.

0:32 there was a vid like this about the nether as well it looks pretty much identical and it was released half a year ago so this vids about end are no reason to think there will be an end update

End and sculk aren't related enough to make an end and sculk update, and 2 main themes is enough, I think that an end OR sculk update, plus combat and crafting, would be great for 1.22, but 3 themes is getting excessive, especially when they aren't closely related

I think the portal in the Ancient City should be an alternate entrance to the end. Have some sculk biomes in the end would really fit and add a lot of lore. Like it’s a virus from the end or something

Good and intresting video, I think the next update will sadly not be the new dimention everone is dreaming of. I think it will be the end update because as you said the april fools version was testing a lot for a new/renewed version of a dimension, I don't know when Mojang said it but Mojang said they will make a new dimention when the game Minecraft is at his best (new combat, end update and etc).

Concepts for the update: -Add new end ore; enderite: used to upgrade non-upgradeable items with a new smithing template found in new structure that i will talk about later (tridents, maces, etc.) -A new biome called ender forest (yes i know so creative) that also has a new wood type that is mined with a pickaxe instead of an axe and also is blast resistant like obsidian but will take as long as obsidian does to mine and will look like warped wood but purple -Endermites spawn in the ender forests and will also drop ender shards that can just be crafted into ender pearls with 9 of them (also they drop it guaranteed) -New structure called ender domain that will have ender guards spawn in them that are like endermen but they have a ranged attack and a meelee at the same time and do more damage (sorta like piglin brutes) and they drop twice the ender pearls a enderman does and will also have the upgrade template for enderite in its chests and also enderite itself Chorus fruit also teleports you to where youre looking at as long as its in a 30 block radus of you and is on a solid block.

I want a glowing mushroom biome in the end. I feel like that would be amazing. Like from Terraria, but quite a lot different. The grass and mushrooms are purple, and there are a new variant of Enderman, the Mushman, which has mushrooms all over and glows purple instead. And there would be a mushroom bird that flies around, and water in this biome, with new fish, and entirely new fishing drops. It would have a lot of different new items, and loot. there would be vines there, that would grow off of the trees and on the bottom of the island. And like you said, the mushrooms would act like a new wood type. There could even be caves in this with glowing mushrooms down there. And an ore underground in those caves too.

Sadly it reminds me that people see what they want to see. Ofc an end update would be awesome but getting your hopes up with Mojang would not be a great idea based off what we have seen so far.

Probably Mojang just wanted a smaller, more polished update this year.

@@Mopsamaxwell I found a mod that adds back and changes the sword blocking into a precise parry, meaning you completely block the hit if you block slightly before getting hit, and if it takes too long, you use the regular slight damage reduction, I actually end up using swords as opposed to axes when using that mod and completely ditch shields, it's way more fun to have skill-based blocking.

Mojang could have the possibility to release a dimension and an upgraded version of the end in one year that could potentially push Minecraft nowadays to its next level.The end part can add a new layout instead of the old end where it’s bland nowadays and it’s specialty is just the end city. Maybe revamping and upgrading its resources could raise its popularity. A new dimension (such as the “skulk dimension”) could bring interest and a lot of grinding methods could be created so players are attracted to play and keep Minecraft’s power still alive.

​@@maximouse88that's definitely not necessarily true. They could absolutely update both and the update takes longer because theyre releasing at the same time, rather than doing one at a time. Working on both could be good too because they could test the compatibility all at once rather than doing one then making the next work for what's already released.

I think it should just be an end update and a combat and mojang are not lazy proven by the April foola update time and time again its more likey bug fixing and or something or someone is stopping them, I don't want them to add a new half baked new dimension so I think they should focuse only on the cimbat and end dimension, also people didnt forget about that combat uodate Jeb was working on everyone liked the chances and was confessed when he stopped updated it to the public.

The End update being related actually makes since. But btw the potatoes update liggit just was a lot of already coded things and structures combined together. The dimension just being an overworld generation and the boss structure liggit being the piglin structure. The "different" mobs being retexted mobs with behavior of other mobs. The only real new stuff in it being the grabling hook, the hover block, and the boss.

Also they’ve gone on record saying that they will only add another dimension when they update the other dimensions as well that being the Overworld, the nether, and the end. So we’re getting even closer to a new dimension.

Some additions such as shields are just not built for old combat. If you want old combat, go play 1.8. If you want the new features, too bad.

if the potato dimension really was a testing thing, i think it would be for the aether, which is having a collab with origin realms, a vanilla minecraft server. although the server is not associated with mojang so it is extremally unlikely

I really hope mojang takes some concepts from XP games because they have some really good ideas for an End update and a Skulk dimension.

It would be cool if Mojang added a sculk dimension But I’m pretty sure they said that the End is going to get updated before they add any new dimension

Personally I think they should update the end then add a bite-size update like a farming update that adds new foods new ways to cook stuff and the update after that they give us a Dimension like the sculk Dimension

@@Nibiru_-_Gen_Z_Warlock I am not very fluent in english, so you may not fathom me much. But, what I meant to say is: Mojang most likely confirmed this but the both of us didn't know until now. There is even a part 1 in the title.

with the past years i feel like minecraft was changing so much that i was putting hours in something unfinished. So much change(for the good) and slowy every place that was a bit empty is getting more immersive. So eager to see what future awaits! It started with Oceans and then Caves and Cliffs, nether and now End! Hope to see more life improvement on default world too, feel like plants, animals and biomes could still be improve. Weather too, weather is something that could be soooo much explored and create more situations in the game....like imagine storms, strong wind, desert storms, high waves, swirl, places flooted.....

i really hope they keep the barrenness of the end man i don't want it to be jam packed of end trees and end dirt

I'm honestly sick of people constantly obsessing over the dumb sculk portal... Just because there is a portal doesn't mean we'll get to see what's on the other side, at least not anytime soon. Its simply a lore thing, a catalyst for players to come up with their own stories and theories to inspire creativity. We already have an overworld, the nether, AND the end all of which have a ton of potential to be expanded upon. We don't need a new dimension anytime soon.

Yeah, and the most annoying part: There *is no other side.* It's a portal only in the architectural sense. There is literally no reason to believe it's some unopened portal(in the magical sense) to a new dimension.

When the end gets updated, I really hope they make the dragon egg hatchable to get a tamed and rideable ender dragon. That would be the best part of the update. Maybe they will add a new ore too, like a dark purple ore called enderprisms? I do think they'll add enderhorses too, because the end cities have saddles and horse armour in some chests.

A "full-circle" update would be to update the End, but do so by adding skulk biomes to it. Then it would explain where the Warden comes from, while also fully connecting the three dimensions. Adding a fourth dimension before fleshing out the third would be a weird step to take (even though I know the End was added before the Nether was fully fleshed out).

If 1.22 aint good im quitting forever

Bro Minecraft doesn't need "saving," it's good enough as is and the fact that we've been getting updates at all is all we need, people need to stop complaining about this shit 💀

This might be an old idea, but what if we had a floating islands dimension, like the end, but when you fall, you kind of fall to the overworld. And just like the nether, we would have a correlation between the new dimension and overword locations, but in this case, 1 block walked in overworld mean more blocks in the new one, the opposite of nether. This idea could actually be a new End, where each overworld stronghold would have a separate dragon fight island, and the void would actually drop us to overworld.

Mojang will always beat modders. Thing is they have to do a lot of other shit that modders dont have to and also satisfy 100% of the playerbase. Only thing i'll say is just use mods Dont say "Aaaaaa noooooo why does players have to use mods to make the game better why cant mojang make it better 🤓" Minecraft is a sandbox. If it was something like GTA 5 then it'd be a good critique but minecraft is made to be modded. Say what you want about it not being official its already unofficially official by the curseforge app and modrinth apps. Just play Nullscape+Better end if you want an end update that badly. If you're playing forge then i suggest using nullscape then using the sinytra connector and forgified fabric api and then using fabric better end. If you want a sculk update just play deeper and darker mod or the sculk horde or both.

I hope when they update the end, it'll transfer over to worlds where you have already been in the end and don't need to make a brand new world for it to work

I’m not sure we’ll be getting an end update just yet. I’m hoping the next update they’ll finally update the biomes that lost in the biome update votes, and add the mobs that lost in the mob votes.

2025: 1.23 will be end update 10000% 2026: 1.24 will be end update 2027: 1. 25 will be END UPDATE..... So yeah People said 1.18 will be end and nah then they said that is 1.19..... Then 1.20, 1.21.... And now again saying that 1.22 will be end update..... Bruh what about me i think end update will be minecraft 1.26 cause of 20 years anniversary like Nether Update Was on 10th anniversary.... If not even more time to Come out, of course it can out before 1.26 but the chances are small cause As they said they need to prepare some things for a Good end update

It’s the cave update situation all over again. For years I remember videos basically like that but about the cave update 10000% being the next update

I am seeing a pattern 1.9: adds a feature everyone hates 1.19:adds a feature everyone hates 1.10: a lackluster update 1.20: a lackluster update (but still better than 1.10) 1.11: an update focused on one structure 1.21: an update focused on one structure 1.12: an update that mostly adds decorational blocks 1.22: (we don’t know yet but let’s hope the pattern doesn’t continue )

The End shouldn't be updated, at least updated like devs made with nether. The whole point of the end is that it's empty and lonely. I agree, that they can make a small addition to the end, but they won't add things like new ore, or forest and other things that some rando could wish of. This would ruin all the atmosphere and unique look of the dimension

But think. When people defeat the ender dragon and go through the portal to the chorus fruit place or whatever, theres hardly anything to do, other than finding the end cities or ships to get the elytra, but those hardly spawn. Theres just hardly anything to do there, and the players need more engagement other than just spending hours trying to find a ship with an elytra or harvesting chorus fruit

I think they will keep the End dimension barren so players will have to purchase mods on the marketplace so mojang can make more money. (Same thing with Aether and Deep Dark)

1.22 has to be a big content update imo hopefully it's the end since the end has been in desperate need of an update for ages but something like a deep dark dimension would be cool too if it's a small update it's not gonna be good for the game and minecraft might reach it's lowest point yet

I really thought 1.21 was going to be the combat update because of the content being combat focused, an it surprised me with it not being so. If 1.22 ends up being the combat update, it'd be a nice bookend to be called "The End Update"

The aether mod developer who was hired by Mojang also happens to be the developer of the warden I’m pretty sure. So there’s definitely a high chance of a warden dimension.
