    Could you share how did you clean the chicken? I've been wanting to bake a whole chicken but am not sure how to clean it, just water & remove the insides? Thank you very much

    @@heistruth2865 i don't know bout ur place,but here in my place,they already empty inside the chicken.but they stuff back gizzard and liver.maybe u can ask them to clean out inside the chicken

    Oh my goodness, I did it! I made this. I'm a single older man. Never in my life have I cooked a whole bird. I admit I didn't really know how to cut it up so probably wasted some meat. It was so delicious with a baked potato. The next day I used leftovers to make chicken salad with some mayonnaise, dill weed, curry and onion powders. Yikes!! Beyond delicious. Thank you Miss Shereen. P. S. If you folks haven't tried curry powder in your tuna and chicken salads, you're really missing out. 🙂 🐟 🐓 🇮🇳

    Made this tonight, without the thyme cause yeah, I wasn't about to make a trip to the store just for thyme. But OMGosh, it was delicious!! Tasted it and immediately thought "it tastes exactly like the roast chicken my mum used to make" . This will be my go to recipe for roast chicken from now on. Thanks for sharing.

    I have 3 carcasses in my freezer now. After you cook the stock,strip the meat and make chicken pot pie or chicken noodle soup., or with dumplings 😊😊😊☺️☺️

    For nice and crispy skin i'd suggest separating the skin from the meat and seasoning in-between that'll make the meat taste better and the skin to be almost like bacon :)

    Thats exactly how i cook my chicken but i also add paprika, tumeric, soya sauce, over the chicken. I squeeze lemon juice all over the chicken and let it sit overnite before cooking. 😋

    I do an hour out on the counter. Then wipe it down, lightly oil, and season it. Always turns out crispy. Four hours might be over kill.

    The lemon is pretty squishy because it's cooked. I squash the juice into the gravy. You can eat the onion if you want. I don't

    I only eat chicken breast, usually when someone else cooks it. I definitely can't work with a whole chicken but I also watched this several times.

    Whisk up some corn starch and water and then that Au jus is the best gravy you'll ever have in your life

    If you're going to consume the gravy immediately, cornstarch is fine. If not, then a flour based is the way to go. It holds up better(cornstarch thins back out if heated to long and when refrigerated)and reheats better

    Personally I would do the same thing with spatchcock. Cooks 100 times more evenly. Never end up over cooked breast meat.

    Only way I cook whole Chickens now. Definitely the superior method. Makes it easier to add seasonings under the skin also

    It's how I make mine too! Any leftovers between hubby and I makes any chicken casserole with phenomenal flavor and I include the drippings to flavor that as well. Yummy 😋🌼

    Awesome recipe now my son will always put veggies in with the chicken and it does not come down crispy I don't put anything and we have a golden color on my chicken but you have it at a different cooking temp and I think you way you are doing it is the perfect way I love the crispy skin I love the color thank you thank you so very much
