The Zumwalt doesn’t even have ammo for the guns, but once the guns are removed and replaced with CHGB hypersonic missiles it would be an easy win for the Zumwalt.

@@williamwest9204 False. Despite the hype (pun intended) Russia has not demonstrated a viable hypersonic ASM. China has, the DF-17, but their missile relies on a complex, easily disrupted killchain. Given the Russian navy's pathetic performance against Ukraine, a country with no navy, they are the least of the US navy's concerns.

@@drksideofthewal well it was reported one was used against ukraine but nobody could confirm after the fact. The russian navy has more active ships then the us does currently, most of which have as much tested combat experience as the zumwalt, which is none. And the Ukrainians have performed so well for multiple reasons, most of which is WE are fronting the bill and giving them the supplies

The Zumwalt honestly would take out the Battlecruiser with a few shots of its naval gun.

Are you sure you are not referring to the original electric cannons it was originally built to have, but they would cost a million dollars a shot, so they armed the Zumwalt with these. I think these are going to be replaced with missile cartridges!

The Russian cruiser has an S-300F long-range air defense system, so the American helicopter will never know what killed it. And anti-ship missiles are not guided by radar, but simply launched towards the target. Missiles themselves find enemy ships based on their shape. Therefore, "stealth" will not help.

@@deneshkandiah2194 S-300 most likely was not activated. In addition, with radar detection, only the size and speed of the target, and not mythical stealth, play a role.

The fact that the zumwalts aren’t equipped with ship to ship battle abilities is really a let down! Granted it’s stealth is neat The armament equally matters and they haven’t got much to offer if They were ever confronted at sea

Actually in the real world, there would be a 66.66% chance that the Zumwalt ship doesn't even have the "advanced" 155mm rounds, since two of the three ships built, weren't provided with any. Honestly, the Russian ship would definitely win. Just look, it has torpedoes (If I remember correctly) it has anti-ship missiles, and it has naval guns with ammo.

Granit missile has its own radar system. It can also throw decoys and use electronic warfare to decrease chance of interception by enemy AA systems. Zumwalt has low radio signature only in frontal projection, so in real battle most likely Kirov would decisively win.

You're wrong about 2 things. 1. Ukraine already know where the Moskva location from bayraktar surveillance. Thus it's easier to engage the ship compared to the video scenario while both in high alert and neither both of them knowing one another location. 2. Ukrainian missile causing moderate damage, because only carrying 150kg warhead. the ship wasn't sunk immediately, but it's massive antiship with liquid fuel and 500kg conventional or 1000kg HE semi armor piercing warhead might be the reason.

Another stupid KZread video...stupid in that "one-on-one" ship battles ended in World War Two and even then they were rare. But just for fun...you'd have to factor in crew skills and after the sinking of the Moskva you have to wonder about the Russian crew skills, but then the Americans are more of a danger to themselves (and cargo ship). Of course the Zumwalt would probably have to launch whatever it was going to launch from dockside...but then as long as the Russian stays away from Ukrainian shore...so yeah, this is pretty stupid...but if the Russians had Batman and Spiderman and the Americans had Superman and the Incredible Hulk...I'd have to give it to the Americans...but if the Russians had Gandalf and Aragon and the Americans had Harry Potter and Hermoine....it goes to the Russians.
