U.S. SECRET $13 Billion Aircraft Carrier SHOCKED Hamas, Iran, and Russia
Ойын-сауық
The USS Gerald R. Ford carrier strike group, accompanied by cruisers and destroyers, has been ordered to the Eastern Mediterranean by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to be prepared for any situation. This deployment demonstrates American readiness for various scenarios, including surveillance and potential interdiction of weapon shipments to the region.

Congratulations, US Navy, on your USS GERALD R. FORD Aircraft Carrier and its magnificent armament. I am a bit envious and wish I was 60 years younger so I could board this ship one day as a visitor from Australia. I am a retired aircraft carrier mariner myself, but too old now, but I still can appreciate the value of this ship if war should happen in the near or distant future. In Australian vernacular, 'She's a beauty, mate!' 🙂 You must come and visit us one day. I remember the aircraft carrier, USS Enterprise, that visited us in November 1964. That was also a great ship!

I saw the USS Gerald R. Ford anchored in Trieste gulf in mid-September last year. She is as beautiful as she is formidable and intimidating. I was driving alone solely for the purpose to see this amazing super-carrier. There was heavy traffic in the area and I almost rear-ended the guy infront of me when the ship suddenly came into view because even-tho I am very keen on road safety I forgot I was driving for a moment due to its impressive silhouette on the far horizon. This ship is truly something else. And the fact that it is supported by flight squadrons from the world's second-largest air force makes it that much scarier. I'm just glad we're allies 😅😂

SECRET ? We know almost everything there is to know about the USS Gerald Ford. The second carrier in the class, USS John F Kennedy, is due to be commissioned in 2025 but could, in theory, be commissioned earlier. Certainly the Gerald Ford is way more advanced than the Nimitz class and is designed to handle the latest generation of 5th Generation fighters but none of that is secret, nor is it novel that older ships are retired as newer ships are commissioned. Nice documentary of the development of the ship though.

This poor captain got "demoted" by one of our local media companies. The ship was anchored in Trieste gulf last year, which is a part of my country's naval territory and they made tons of news article about it. Just that one journalist was so uninformed that he used the translation for the army captain (which is a much, much lower rank), not the Navy captain. I wrote in the comments I pray to God the captain of the ship doesn't learn about that, or we might be putting the entire NATO alliance with my tiny country at risk xD
think you could have added a few more 'USS Gerlald R Ford' in case we forget for good measure

lots of mistakes in this "EXPOSE`" about this aircraft carrier. Primarily the planes on it. F18's are primary plane of choice, and the F35C is to be added to Navy fleets if they can ever get enough of them to go around.

Yes, and, they showed the F-16 as though it was a plane that operates off of a carrier. It does not, just like the A-10 that you mention.
Well, like the song says, I guess my secret love, isn't secret anymore.
You show a picture and you talk about it 😂
"One of the listed planes stand out: the F-35" Well of course it bloody stands out! It's the only plane from the ones you've listed that *can actually land* on a carrier! You can't land F-16s on carriers, and A-10s even less so. If those planes are supporting the strike group they are doing it from allied NATO airfields in the area. So while I can appreciate the info, you were describing Air Force planes, not Navy jets. [edit:] US Navy also doesn't have attack helicopters. Apache attack helis are part of the Army and do not normally land on carriers either.
There is NOTHING SECRET about an Aircraft Carrier !!

Why are you calling it a Secret carrier? The whole planet watched it's launching years ago.
This is a a machine you don't want to see off your Coast...
We used the Swedish Draken air planes, but in start '80s Denmark bought the new F-16 jets, which we have delivered to the Ukraine air force, 1,5yrs ago, but they cant fly the Western planes yet. And they need Danish airplane experts to make the planes ready at every time it leaves the ground. Ukraine will never use the planes against Russia.
I can never understand why we detail our systems for foreign enemies to see?

Difficult to hide such a big juicy target like that in the Med enclosed "lake" as well. Battleships in WW1. Carriers in WW2. In a WW3 I would seriously doubt that the carrier concept would last very long.
Impressive, but spending nearly a trillion dollars a year on "national defense" that we know about, didn't stop the largest American invasion in history. So the question has to be are we really spending America's wealth wisely?
