    Love this! I lived in NYC for a few months and always loved hearing the New York accent as I walk down the streets. Constant reminder that I'm not in Cali anymore! Also, I don't think New Yorkers are rude/mean at all. Everyone I met was chill and real, not overly friendly, but I like that--they're not fake.

    Nope not forced. I was born and raised in NY, Brooklyn. Grew up meeting people from Bronx, Bklyn, Queens. Don’t know what area yall hang in, especially if the are became gentrified...but those accents are authentic!!

    When I moved from New York to South Carolina. People thought I was so aggressive. They made me say certain words and everything. Didn’t notice I had an accent until then. I used to say so many slang words. I really had to dumb it down for them.

    Some of my best friends came from New York. New York no cap is one of the realist cities in the whole world. The people are real, are in tune with the community, they are open for conversation. they are hustlers they don’t play with their time.     We are all New Yorkers! I moved to NY from Europe about 2 years ago and people still get surprised when i tell them I'm not actually from Brooklyn, now not only i have the mannerisms but the accent as well. Honestly when i first moved here i immediately felt like i was home.

    I was so hype when I visited Ohio and was on the phone with my friend. After I hung up, the people next to me asked if I was from NY. Yes, yes I am and people from NY always told me I sounded like an oreo growing up.
