St. Patrick’s day became a typical festivity (just like Christmas), wherein people use it as an excuse to party rather than internalising the reason why it’s celebrated.

Man has ALWAYS been in need of it. There is nothing new under the sun. Its the same fight, but we bring Jesus Christ with us now! I urge Christians not to despair, or to be intimidated. Greater is our strength to do His works now! Our children live in this age, it is our job to encourage them and not to live in fear!

I watched this video twice in a row to celebrate St.Patrick's Day today n it is phenomenal!!! You did an amazing job, showing us the Ireland of St. Patrick's time as well as the present time with the Book of Kells, the cathedrals, Trinity College n all the ruins n islands where the monks preserved the Christian documents that JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD initiated and ordained the Apostles to continue to spread HIS HOLY WORD!!! The prayer at the end of the video topped it off fabulously!!! Mr. Story, you have given us a magnificent tribute to the REAL meaning of St. Patrick's Day. Thank you for posting. .🙏🍀💚🗝️🌟👍🕊️

I'm 60-ish and was born & raised a Roman Catholic and didn't know until now that Patrick was never ordained as a Saint by any Pope.!! What an amazing fact. Anyway, his miracle is not driving snakes away (no snakes on islands) or raising dead people back to life (quite impossible) but convincing the Irish that you're right and they're wrong, now that's a real miracle.!!

One St. Patrick's history that I ran across stated that when Patrick returned to Ireland to "convince" the people there to adopt Christianity, that he used tyranny and violence up to and including death, to bring those conversions about. What I learned about St. Patrick from that history made me not want to celebrate the holiday any longer. But how do we know what is factual and what isn't?

Dave, I believe you're getting dangerously close to becoming Catholic after this and all your drive through history in Israel!! 😂 In the Catholic Church we do light the Paschal candle at Easter vigil the evening before Easter every year. The Catholic Church is a wonderful place to be as it is the church that Jesus Christ founded and said that the gates of hell would never prevail. It's the only church that's been around for over 2000 years, sure we have problems and a lot of sinners amongst us, but I was I said the gates of hell will never prevail against it!! Beautiful video!! ☘️

Stop with the ridiculous "church that Jesus Christ founded" fantasy. It's just demonstrably and historically not true. The Catholic church finds its beginnings with Gregory around 590 a.d. Jesus did not set up your multi-layered bishops with all your man-made church rules, never directed any devotion to His mother, and did not made Peter a pope. It condemned the true gospel of faith as accursed at Trent, and has been officially apostate ever since. For Dave to become Catholic would indeed be "dangerous." It means he'd be forsaking the gospel of Jesus Christ for fables and a works-based salvation.

WOW! We've watched you for years and love all of your series. Thank you for being such a wonderful teacher, because of you we LOVE to learn about history. I didn't know anything about St. Patrick and it was so neat to learn so much at a deep level and enjoy the scenery from my ancient ancestors' stomping grounds. We pray that you never stop teaching! Thank you for all that you do!

I love this history of St. Patrick so much! I watched it last year and now this year again in rapt attention. I have read short stories about his conversion before, but this really pulls together the enormous impact his life had in Ireland, Britain and beyond. It explains so much to me that I never understood before. Thanks you Mr. Stotts for putting this together. ✝🙂✝

A truly engaging account of one of my favorite saints! I thought I knew a lot about Patrick and Ireland (being 1/4 Irish); I was wrong! All of the locations that you visited were fascinating and inspiring. However, you have NO idea how dizzy I felt watching you scale Skellig Michael!! I look forward to watching other episodes that you have recorded.

Saint Patrick was neither a Protestant nor a Catholic but a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. His wife’s name was Shelagh and the 18 of March is her feast day. He was captured as a slave and brought to Ireland to herd pigs and sheep on Slemish mountain ( near the port of Larne. ) in the year of 400 ad . He spent 6 years working and herding sheep and pigs.when Patrick had a dream of a boat ready for his escape to be home again. He went down to the boat and escaped home again. He arrived home and tried to catch up on his studies in God’s word. He wasn’t able to take the memories of Ireland from his mind. He gathered a group of Spirit filled believers to return to Ireland and evangelize the Irish. He was a Gaelic Speaker and equipped for this immense task. He spent years as a Spirit filled believer and was operating in the spiritual gifts of miracles and healing He returned to Ireland in 332 ad . Because he was operating in the miracles and healing. Like the early believers he had great success and even to this day fruit is being evident. Ireland became the island of saints and scholars and it will return to Christianity. kzread.info/dash/bejne/l4BrpKuAns2ag6Q.html

I had no idea what a wonderful and inspiring man that Patrick was. What a spokesman for God and his son Jesus Christ. An inspiring look into a man that truly changed a part of the world. May we all aspire to such bravery and courage that he showed, was possible, for any man walking with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I learned so much, and I thank you! He was a man worthy of being called a saint.
