Squanto felt sorry for those starving people. He showed great compassion for these I’ll equipped people. He did not grow up believing as those puritans did. He helped because that is what humans need to do for each other. Squanto is the real hero here!

The Good Book tells us to give thanks in all things, yet it seems so difficult to do so in the 21st century. Societies all over the world seem beset by negative issues, & every person seems more likely to complain than be grateful for anything. But it's always been that way. Every generation in every corner of the globe faces some sort of troubling problems. This will never change. We, as reasoning, thinking human beings, must find in our hearts & minds the will to look for the good in the world, & in our lives. Everyone has at least one thing to be thankful for - seeing the sun rise on another day. When we see that for the blessing that it is, the rest of the day is ours to make the best of that we can. It'll go much better if we approach it with a positive outlook, rather than a negative. Then, we'll discover even MORE to give thanks for. God's blessings, & Happy Thanksgiving to all!

@@cherriledbetter1120Native tribes killed more other native tribes than Europeans did. Native tribes also sided with different European powers against other native tribes. We must unite as a country and accept responsibility for own own actions. History is full of positives, neutrals & negatives so we shouldn't be focusing on just one. No person or country is perfect (we were never intended to be so). Thank you for existing and Thank you for being born. 🕊️🙏🇺🇲👍🦃

We do have a full Special for Saint Patrick's Day - stay tuned during 2022 and we might post it! We don't have any plans to retell the Christmas story right now (we covered some of the content in The Gospels). As for Halloween, there's a lot of Christian history there that would be fun to cover. Perhaps someday in the future, stay tuned!

You forgot the part about how _"Thanksgiving"_ was originally celebrated in Canada some 40+ years before the first such celebration in tge USA. Settlers north of the border traded with settlers south of the border; and it was adopted by the Pilgrims in the US. Of course, that's very much an oversimplified summary of it, by that's about the gist of it.
