Well, you did put the words, “bus tour” as the screen for and “Skoolie tour” in the title of, your video. I guess I was expecting that. Maybe next time you do another one, if you’re not going to do a tour of the bus, don’t put those words on the video? It was still a great video and nice story. Just a bit misleading.

Amazingly comfy-looking bus! They seem like they're having a fun time. I've travelled across the U.S. twice, but in a little bit of a time crunch both times. It would be nice to take my time and see more the next time. Another awesome video. Another great story.

Wonderful video Mary. Canadians are great. They have a beautiful bus. I hitched hiked up 401 when I was younger and met the nicest people like these two along the way. My grandfather owned lots of land up there. We use to go up and camp for the summer when I was growing up. I would like to buy some land up there to go spend the summer months. ❤ 🇨🇦 ❤

It's just that mic is further away from speakers so their voices are hard to hear, then music volume is loud so covers up speakers voices even more.

I agree, it has such a nice vibe and it still feels like a bus, which is something I like.

No offense but I don’t feel like this is a tour of the bus, more of an interview of the couple. At the end of the video you spoke of things on the bus that were never shown. What do they use for clothes storage? Where do they have their food storage? Do they have to lock cupboards up when they are moving? Do they have hot water? Do they have a garage? Do they use a tv? Do they use a cooler or refrigerator? Where do they store that huge keyboard? If I missed these things, please accept my apology. What do they do for showers? Are they members of a gym that is in Canada and the US? What gym do they use? I look at tours to get ideas. Where was the toilet located?

Liberty Lost You’re absolutely right, it is more of an interview. This is the first one I’ve done and I really enjoyed the interview process so I sort of ran out of time to do a super in-depth vehicle tour. I’ll be more mindful of that the next time, though personally, I watch a lot of tours and they basically all kind of blend together. The most interesting part to me is always the people. That said, I’ll aim for a little more balance next time.

Liberty Lost By the way the one thing that is in there that I guess you missed is the location of the toilet which is between the bed and the counter. It has a counter piece that goes over it to hide it when not in use. And I I think they actually talk about the decision not to have a shower but it’s possible I didn’t include that, I’ll have to go back and look at the interview. They wanted as open floor plan as possible and having a closed off bathroom didn’t really work for them so they just have an outdoor shower and use gyms.

Great interview do u do these much?! The bus is really awesome, barnwood is golden.

I realize what goes in must come out however, my “restroom” needs full time walls. I could never convince my wife to build or buy an rv without a full bath/shower. That’s just us. Maximalist Minibus What is the thought process. Was the plan to save space, keep an open eye line, or your just comfortable with yourselves? Am I looking at extra work and grief to build a full bath? I do not intend to to be rude, I really would like to know. Once it’s built, that’s it.

@@rickkentner1713 Hey there! This isn't my bus, but I think I can answer for Sam and Carley. They wanted a totally open floor plan for their bus; they did not want any walls at all initially, but when they decided on the fridge they have, it meant carving out a space for that with one short wall. It was also important to them to keep as many of the windows as possible. Their bus is fairly small, so building a bathroom would almost definitely have meant losing another window. Building a bath is definitely extra work, but I would say most people do add one, especially in a larger bus. These guys are content with an outdoor shower, and visiting a gym occasionally for a "real" shower. Your build really depends on what kind of travel you'll be doing, how remote you'll be - and you, your priorities, your preferences. Thanks for the great question, and for watching!

Yeah, I would want the walls too and especially with a stranger on board for a MONTH! Holy smokes, I can't imagine that.

Pink eye, exactly why you need a bathroom, and hot water, maybe a bottle of hand sanitizer as well.

Actually, this bus is for sale, BUT only so they can build a bigger one! This bus is fairly short (not as short as mie) and they love the lifestyle but have hobbies that require more room, so they've started a new build.

I saw your interview with Bob Wells. This was the first one of your videos I watched. Watched it about a dozen times and then forwarded it to my sister who wants to do what you're doing. (I hope all the times viewed counts toward the income for your channel.) I'm looking forward to seeing more. One suggestion - I loved your music choice, but there were a few times where the music sound level in the background, combined with the raspiness of her voice, made it really difficult to understand what she was saying. I had to keep backing it up and really listening. Then once I thought I had figured it all out I backed it up to the start and watched it all over again! Multiple times. Then I watched the one you did with all the toy horses in the field. You are awesome and so were the skoolie couple. Hope you're still experiencing joyfullness!

Hi there! Thanks so much! I agree, the music is not really dialed in on this one. It's an older video, and I tend to use music differently than a lot of people do; I think of it as foreground music vs background music. It's taken me a while to figure out how to pull that off, and I know for some people it's still not really to their taste... but you can't please everyone! I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for watching it so many times!

Loner gene....I can relate. I always say I want more time with people then usually chose to go it on my own. LOL

Sorry you don't like it. I would rather have used less music but there were sound issues at play, and continuous music was the best option. I like editing to music in general, but I understand it's hard to please everybody. Thanks for watching!

Not expecting that everyone can or will be pleased ..but it is really an ongoing issue with videos ...

Yeah, I have no idea what kind of mileage a bus this size gets, and this one is till relatively small, but the long buses - I don't even want to guess. In my shorty I'm at 11 to 13 mpg, which is about the same as I got in my E450 van. It's diesel, which is a little more expensive than gas. I rarely do private campgrounds so I'm not so worried about that! A lot of them won't take older RVs either.

26 foot it's really good, but where it's the shower and toilet .

Y'all look like you're cold. Schoolie conversions are nice, but I would want to have efficient heat and AC when needed. Couldn't enjoy the experience otherwise.

Actually, we're all bundled up because we'd been showing our buses all day long to hundreds of people with the doors wide open: no hope of heating in those conditions! Since we were all wearing layers, I don't think anyone was particularly cold. If we had been, Sam & Carley would have cranked up their little wood stove and we'd have been toasty in no time! In my own bus, I have a diesel air heater that's very effective. No AC, though, but then I've never had AC in any house or vehicle in my life!

You call that a bus tour?!?! I'm pretty sure I loved the bus but couldn't tell much about it because she just gave us a glimpse of it. I also loved the couple and hearing their experiences.
