I did deoxoys because he’s a unit who can become supper tanky, set up psychic zone, hard to hit and speed up sync count, and just nuke everything with his INSANE attack damage

Honestly, I feel like I've had a real lucky streak since Dojo Gloria hit. Went in on the Johto banners fairly lacking in terms of gems, and proceeded to not get a single one of the Master Fair units from *any* of the banners. But once Dojo Gloria hit, I managed to get both her AND SS Korrina with a fairly low amount of gems, got Brendan off of dailies, got Steven out of two multis, and have now managed to get all three 3rd Anni Master Fair pairs.

I EXd Lusamine's son a while back and don't regret it. There are many weeks of the elite 4 master mode I wouldn't have been able to get through without him! Sure as I keep playing I'm gradually needing him less and less but he brought so much value.

That's exactly how I feel about both Sidney and Anni Steven. There are better dark units, confusion is less useful in general now, and older mega units generally are underpowered. Everybody knows Steven got shafted. But they both got me through so many harder levels in champion stadium, extreme battles, etc. And they guided my future choices with pulling new units! Same could be said of some ftp units and others which definitely have better options NOW, but were more accessible to me a year ago. Investing in Absol led me to pull for Darkrai, same can be said of Rayquaza and Tornadus. Seeing how much flying zone helped made me go for Ingo (Bug Zone go brrrrrrr!!) These are some of my most played units. Steven showed me how much Master Fair units can help with regional battles, so I went for SS Lusamine and SS Serena, who went great with my Mewtwo powerhouse, and Steven himself along with Flygon in my teams earlier this year. I appreciate some of my units for whom I've got better options, like Mewtwo (psychic team is now Cresselia, Latias, Deoxys,) Psyduck (I'm cursing not pulling Suicune or Urshifu, but I've still got a strong force,) and Absol (who still joins many of my gauntlet teams weak to interference, and still pairs just fine with Darkrai.)

In my opinion, fall Caitlin should be a tier higher. She is an INCREDIBLE support who gets so much off her EX. Also, ash is an AMAZING EX candidate. His sync does stupid damage and easily wipes sides and usually center with ease. If I’m not mistaken, ash has one of the top striker nukes in the game. In my opinion Ash is one of the best EX options in the entire game, although 3/5 is required for the full nuke.

She's one of the absolute best units to sync with especially with EX. I love using her during that one MM parameter that extends field effects. If only she gave crit she'd be a top 5 physical support imo.

The only thing against as is he is just so broken that he doesn’t really need an ex to be broken so it’s probably more beneficial to newer players to ex units that actually need buffs

She is actually really good once she’s at 3/5 and EX, since she demands a sync might as well get double buff. She is also a mini SS Cynthia Aura helping Keldeo’s tough cookie, and good for a dark team for those who have SS Cyrus at 1/5 with Summer N, I had her at 1/5 and never EX’d her until recently and was disappointed on her, I have no idea what got me into upgrading her but now she’s part of my weekly teams.

@@endane tbh 3/5 isnt that necesary. the most important tiles on her grid are trainer move: MPR and trainer move: Pep Rally 1, both of which are at 2/5. Trust me a 2/5 EX fall caitlin is also an amazing amazing unit.

I have both Dojo Gloria and SS May at EX and they really are absolutely nuts. Especially Dojo Gloria, Surging Strikes plus Move Gauge charge is just crit spam all day.

Olivia its great with EX, she always carries me on Champion stadium

Bp blues dps is fine, why was he placed with the sync units.

How is swimsuit misty below elio, phoebe and piers? None of them have anything on sync while misty has synchro healing. Sure phoebe and piers have crit buffs but besides that, they're mostly useless whereas misty has defence buffs and is almost, if not just as, good healing as skyla and leaf.

Phoebe can max out any physical attacker and she also has defense buffs from grid. Piers can last for a long time if you time his moves right. He also debuff defenses and buffs the attack of your team each time he blocks. Elio has a one move +4 attack/+4 sp.attack/+2 speed, he gets crit buffs from grid, +4 sp.def, sleep, passive heals, sp.def, def and speed debuffs from grid and speed buffs also from grid. While not top tier, those three are far from usseles. Elio in particular is freaking good.

I’m not sure if I should EX Marowak or Rotom like I have red with pikachu so I’m thinking rotom for the electric theme skill but idk

The main reason to EX units in this game is to beast Champion Stadium (because it’s weekly vs Legendary Gauntlet being bi-monthly or whatever it is). A good AOE sync (25-40k) is usually more valuable than doing (50-80k) on the middle unit. So I feel strikers should get a little more love on the EX scale. Other than that, nice video.

@@kim_seulgii I do tend to use the 5 custom power ups with the 15 generic ones. The custom ones get replenished in CS 10k master mode, where the generic ones is mostly luck based outside of the monthly store purchases, so I don’t mind using them.

I would level up all the legendaries first. Then, focus on the sync up and bp units. Also, once you get blue 2/5, possibly from tickets, I would grid him. After that, I’d look at the scoutable 3/4 stars. Finally, do some of the better story units, like skyla and Barry. Of course, taking priority over most these units would be masterfairs, pokefairs, seasonals, and the better scoutable 5stars.

@@Drisusuis honestly I wouldn’t even worry about that. The difference between 140 and 150 is negligible for most units

OG Cynthia is great except she does not play nice with Maxie and is a bit clumsy with Courtney due to competing syncs. Courtney is worth EXing for the stats, as she can tank very well on top of her nuke. Drake gets gradual healing on Sync, which is very good for him as a tank. Blarcanine is not worth EXing simply because Silver exists, and I find they work better together with OG Lyra (esp with Adrenaline 1) Karen is very useful for beating Phoebe on Sentry Entry×2 weeks, as there are very few good Special Attack Dark types. Sableye is EXTREMELY good for 2 different Champion Stadium modifiers: Half Sync Countdown and Permanent Field Effects.

So I am not new to EX but I been taking it a bit more seriously, considering the algorithm is doing its job correctly I been looking at which of all my units I have today and have been accumulating for years are good. I know now from your last video I watched to 6 rank my Lucuario X Cynthia. Articuno has a better chance of going with Lorelei, being the ice specialist she is. Leaf could get hitmonchan or lee to reference that fighting gym. Another option is espeon, Red’s retconned Pokémon. I think another mewtwo would be more likely with the let’s go protags

SS Korrina also loses her face upon Sync if you EX her, so that's another plus. Unfort, I don't have her anyway, so I can only talk about it, lol. Some of those leading ltd units like SST Red, SS May, SS Steven, Lucas, etc. I only have at 1/5 (and not enough candies), so that's the main reason I'm holding off EX'ing them yet.

Yes Red not only can extend electric terrain, he can debuffs opponents speed, def and sp def, has a max move that can also paralyse all the opponents . Has huge sync nuke, sync countdown, very good aoe dps that ignores passive damage reductions. *Also he has kanto flag bearer which is 30% boost to both physical and sp attack damage, combine this wish Ash's master passive it becomes 80% damage boost* note that B thunderbolt acts as a normal move so the 80% multiplier works on that as well.

Unrelated, but is anyone else wondering why Cynthia doesn’t have her lucario in her battle against ash. Her ss is supposed to be in conjunction to that battle. If it’s because of possibly stealing the light from ash’s lucario, then why wasn’t she given a Pokémon she actually uses in the battle, like spiritomb, roserade, or togekiss for better dark support, poison zone, and misty terrain respectively.

Togekiss doesn't learn MT though, so it'd have to be a Wish. Fairy Zone might be what more ppl want b/c it's easier to understand, but I'm thinking if the MT setter had some Passive that gives the whole team a general 1.5x buff under MT (for prob all types except Dragon, considering one of its effects), that could be more valuable than a field effect that only boosts a single type like Fairy Zone. Of course, it could just be a lower multiplier (1.4x is as low as I'll go for it), and it might be an additive rather than a multiplicative multiplier, but I'd still appreciate it. Opal & Weezing-Galar would be my first guess for an MT unit, but a 4th Misty would also be interesting for the obv reason, lol.

@@emerfirek yeah there’s a number of ways that dena could handle mt since it doesn’t buff fairy moves. Maybe it gets buffed in scarlet/violet, allowing dena to use that version. Maybe they could change its mechanics to the fit the game, like stealth rock. Or maybe they just invent fairy zone.

Thank goodness this video came out. I literally put a Reddit thread up asking for EX advice 🫠 - to be fair, I pulled the trigger on my 1 of 2 EXes (literally as soon as people said they would EX Giovanni & Nidoking 2/5, I couldn’t upgrade fast enough 🤣🤣🤣

I started new game. I got cynthia 2 times and red 1 team with 22k gems. Is it good enough or should i start the game and reroll again. I sm confused what to do. Does sync pair at 1 move level good enough?

Yes that are pretty good rolls. And no, you need always 2 Copies of a unit (you can candy them too btw.) because that gets you all their Move Power Ups, which are just so important. And for a nuker i think it's 3/5 because then you get all the Syn Damage. And sometimes there are also crazy abilites in the Skill Tree like SS Blue at 3 gives us good healing just Like for attacking and getting attacked, which is so valuable and lets me do Battle Villa for example.

2 Cynthia's and Red is a very good haul for 22k gems. I wouldn't reroll. Most sync pairs are fine at 1 move level. Especially when starting out. Eventually you'll get resources to increase their move level anyway so don't stress about rerolling for 3 of everyone. There's a few pairs that their sync grid has something that gives them a huge buff at 3/5, but 1/5 of a good pair like red is infinitely better than 3/5 on a bad pair. The things chaos infernoid are saying aren't completely wrong, like SS blue really benefits from 3/5, but he is also one of the best supports in the game at 1/5 and you can look up for each pair if it's worth it.

@@phoenixgaming8718 I would adcice aiming for the Free Units at the beginning, you can get one of Blue/Red or Leaf First Year Anniversaty from playing the campaign with them. The most starter units are really bad though. (From the Main normal Story) Blue is a massive Tank, Red a Fire Dps and Leaf and Toxic Staller that can get most enemies down over time when they aren't immune to that. There are buffs in Master Mode Champion Rush that lets you get better Toxic Damage for example. It all depends what you pull everytime though. I would wait maybe with the decision. Unfortunatly this game is pretty Pay2Win and most of the time you need a crazy Support to make it work much better. Also there is stuff like a lottery that you can do for Gems at the beginning. That Unit is Powercreept unfortunatly to hell. Todays units are so much better then a year ago or so. It's disgusting. Red is one of the best units in the entire game though, should carry you through so much stuff. Do everything that you can every day. It's worth it. There's so much more to say, but Level your grits, your lucky skill (which unfortunatly there are only restricted ways of getting great skills every now and then) and get leveling. Get many different elements and don't go after Hype Like you did now with Cynthia They will always try to bait you. Cynthia isn't even S Tier for a Anniversaty Unit. Maybe A or even B.

In my case, as many of the units I have aren't 3/5, this is a fun watch, but generally not exactly applicable.

To be honest, I would put Ash in the ASAP Tier,only because Best Buds 10,000,000 volt Thunderbolt damages all if you make Ash an Ex.

SS serena prob gets more out of syncing because of zygarde complete form

I have 220 tickets and as a F2P, I always overthink to wich unit make an EX, I always prioritize Support units, but right now I want Strikers or good damage dealers units

Honestly if you gonna ex a unit for the nuke generally you clear basically everything (excluding the worst unit in the game obviously). I would rather ex units that unlock songs and i need for a specific type or stage in my opinion. While ex a unit you have to consider also the outfit and the song as well because is a part of ex a unit. EDIT: Also are more viable ex a weaker unit than a stronger unit in general except for some specific units.

One more factor, there's only one thing a unit actually loses upon EX: the non-EX pose. If you like Guzma's squat pose more than his Amitabh Bachchan pose, you'll hesitate to EX him. Same w/ Bea's fighting stance vs. her generic standing pose (one thing I kinda regret, but I do like the Mtn Dew colors, lol).

For supports, it doubles the sync buff which is really helpful as each sync buff gives 1.5x boost to your attacks For strikers, your sync move will hit everyone on enemies team, so you can kill the sides as well with your ex striker nuke For techs, your sync move will get a 1.5x multiplier, so if you want to do insane damage to one unit then it is helpful

I’ve never mentioned it until now, but… My hot take is that Striker Sync Nukes are almost always more valuable than Tech Sync Nukes. Obviously this is dependent on the Striker having a strong nuke, and vice versa to an extent, but having a nuke to take out the sides? That’s just so valuable. I can’t tell you how many times a Striker’s nuke is what I had to use to finish a Champion Stadium battle. For as strong as a Tech Sync Nuke can be, I usually end up getting screwed by AOE from the side opponents. Obviously this is also dependent on teams and play styles, but every time I fight a hard stage, I go with the Striker Nuke. Honestly, a lot of this is probably due to how I play, but I still really do think that Striker EX’s tend to get overlooked by so many people in favor of Tech EX’s…….

They both have their place. Striker nukes are good for battles against where the entire team poses a threat, tech nukes shine when the opposing sync nuke is the biggest threat/single opponent battles. In something like 2k master mode where usually an opposing sync move is a wipe for your team, it’s becomes incredibly valuable to have a powerful nuke to wipe out the middle slot before it can wipe you out - they tank the remaining attacks from the 2 side opponents as you chip them down with moves. Of course every battle is different, some favour strikers and some favour techs.

You can take out the sides with good timing. Either you quad que after nuking the side, or you interrupt its sequence. So tech nukes can take out sides just as easily as striker nukes. My advice for Exing would be the pairs that you need or really want to sync. For example, zerena, blue, may, and ss morty are good pairs to ex.
