Coming to Flannery’s defense over Flint here: Flannery can actually do some decent tanking on Sun teams thanks to being able to spam Ember with Healing Sun 1. She could be paired with Silver and tank decently for him alongside her defense buffs and Impervious. I can’t think of a single redeeming factor for Flint when Silver is also free and just does so much more than Flint could ever dream of doing. Flint would need a very hefty grid expansion or even an overhaul to be worth considering in any context, sadly

There’s a pretty big one, being that Silver needs to sync to set sun. If I just need a random fodder sun setter in the third slot I’m picking Blaine/eggmons over Silver every time because they can do it immediately on demand without hogging the sync.

I mean I guess if we come to blows. Flannery does have it over Flint because she provides stuff that Flint doesn't, due to him just being damage. Buuuut they're both mid anyway.

To be fair in flannery’s case on Sun teams with silver, it’s not like flannery herself is going to want to sync regardless. A decent option overall but I agree that there’s a lot more stronger options. This is more just in the F2P sphere.

Well even in the free sphere, I don't see a reason to use Flannery if she isn't nuking, a Support like Torchic + Silver and Blaine will just carry a Fire team.@@madlymidnight25

As someone who started playing 10 days ago I can tell you this game is SO generous with f2p pairs it's insane I just finished watching it and yeah I agree with all these takes so far, though I wonder what you think of classic Blue? I got him super early and he's been putting in a lot of work so far You might also want to mention which BP pair is better to get first since it's gonna take a long while until you get a second one, and which lodge unit to focus first from the f2p pairs (iirc Blue, Rosa, Skyla, Giovanni, Silver, Acerola, Elesa and Sycamore, so quite a lot to choose from as a f2p)

For Lodge pairs, Blue > Sycamore >= Skyla > the rest. For BP... There's just a lot of good pairs, if you need an Electric DPS, Sophocles, if you need a great defensive Support, Morty. If you need Fairy (and Steel) DPS, Valerie. BP is quite dependent on what you need, I'd say Sophocles, Morty, Valerie, Janine(?) and Erika will provide the most use to new players.

@@salamencelvx I've been having a lot of trouble with teams weak to dark since Nanu can put up some work but he can't really deal with all of them on his own, do you recommend BP Karen or should I hope to pull Grimsley or Sidney?

So glad I stumbled upon your videos as a returning player. I have a few questions: - How would this tier list be if limited(?) sync pairs are included? - What are my priorities as a returning player? Events? Progressing through the story? Building sync pairs for the hard stadium? - My best sync pair rn is a 2/5 Steven & Deoxys. Should I push for 3/5 or hold onto the gems for future banners? I have more questions but I don’t wanna bombard you with them here. Keep up the good work man 🙂

- It would vary Pair to pair but 90% of free pairs cant hold a candle to limited ones. But they’re still useful. - Focus on getting the valuable items from exchange shops as well as getting all gems possible from events, all while strategizing what pairs to build for the Stadium. - save your gems.

Memoschprehen does free Stadium clears every single week, he can cover that aspect. Free pairs are definitely capable of doing at least 10k Master Mode though, even with more minor investment. With some luck, investment, and a mix of General Pool/limited Sync Pairs, you'll get to 15k eventually too.

I never bothered to look at the torchic they gave me. Maybe i should give the little guy a chance

Well Torchic is far too frail if you're in end game difficulty, but for new players, the boosts Torchic applies are REALLY helpful.

I still love using these f2p pairs, a lot of the time it helps incentivise me to save when I don't have any strong feelings about meta pairs for example I know I could pull for the rats and demolish electric weak content but I don't care about Red and Blue getting their millionth pair or Pikachu being slapped onto another broken unit I'd rather pull for a character like Iono instead and just use her with Lodge Volkner and get by that way.

Brock is just outclassed by Roark besides his Flinch. And also the fact Brock actually has an EX I guess is a plus.

@@shadednights6870 This is actually how I used to play SS Brock I always paired him up with SS Diantha for a bit of chip and flinching but yea we have a new TTar now
