It is fun to watch. Happened to all of us.

I love watching people's reactions who are new to Dimash. He will eventually become world reknowned. You are in for an amazing ride as you experience more of Dimash. How could you not? There are several versions of S.O.S., the Digital Show is a good one, too. I absolutely love Stranger, his live performance and the video with the wolves, too. Olympico and so so many more. Many genres of music, as well. His new music video release, When I've Got You, is different, and amazing! And what makes him even more special is his humbleness, his deep appreciation for his fans, the Dears, and his care for the world. Many vocal specialists say he is the best singer in the world. This video is I think from 2017? He has come a long way since then and is very well known in other parts of the world. Enjoy the Dimash ride.... he is truly amazing in every way.

Listening to Dimash is soothing to my soul. So much in fact when I had major surgery a year ago I mentally listened to him sing while they prepped me for surgery and as they put me under anesthesia. It worked! It kept me cool, calm and in a good mental place. Dimash is not only the best vocalist ever he is a consumate stage performer. While he delivers incredible vocals he emotes the intent of the song and carries his audience on a journey. There is so much depth in his musicology it is hard to describe because you can't buttonhole him in to one style or one genre.

I heard the first of this extraordinary kid LESS than 24 hours ago, when a 3am algorithm suggested his newest song (look for it, you’ll find it, just released Monday, and a whole ‘nother AWESOME reaction vid, I avidly ask? ☺️). I followed the rabbit hole down into the world of Dimash, read articles, listened to more videos, and by dawn this morning I heard S.O.S. 2021 for the first time. And my life will never be the same. 😊 This young man (I can say that, I’m 63) is going to be known globally, in a huge way. Music is a UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE we can all understand, in unity. Look at the faces watching him - I want to hug them ALL because of our mutual awe and joy at hearing Dimash… The music world will never be the same. It’s about to HAPPEN. And I never heard of this singer before 20 hours ago. Now I know I will follow his career as far as he takes it! His voice and range, his emotion and talent, make me wonder that this is more PERFECTION than any mortal should ever be allowed to possess… ANGELS are in LOVE with this voice, if not envious!

Similar story for me. I was introduced to Dimash’s 2018 SOS version. It was evening time. I started to look for anything by him after that. Next thing I knew, it was 4:30 AM. I am still obsessed with him a year later. 😍

Feb 17 2022 for me. And every day since. 8th wonder of the world.

Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) KZread channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. Each performance will leave you stunned. Thank you for reacting to our Dimash from a loyal "Dear" (fandom name given to us by Dimash, because we are dear to him like his family). He has fan clubs in 132 countries.

First time, I got chills, hair stood on end, and got teary-eyed. Second time, third time….twentieth time…same thing. I’m not even that huge of a music afficionado or particularly musically literate, There’s just something really special about this man and his talent.

The best thing about Dimash is just when you think you've seen everything he can do vocally, he will blow your mind yet again with the next song. So it's always fresh, always new and you never have the chance to get bored. He's always on a creative search, exploring both his vocals and his music with the same passion.

I remember my introduction to Dimash in early 2023. I’m still hunting for my socks I was wearing at the time. The song S.O.S. is from Starmania, a French cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976 with music by Michel Berger and lyrics by Luc Plamondon. It debuted in 1978 with a studio recording of the songs, before premiering on stage in 1979. Several of its songs have passed into mainstream Francophone pop culture, and helped original cast members Daniel Balavoine and Diane Dufresne to rise in popularity in France; it is now considered one of the most famous rock operas in French history.

His French is bad… I mean, at certain moments he doesn’t say the words, he just says ahhhhh ohhhhhhh uhhhhhh. I suppose that he can’t sing high notes and pronounce words at the same time.

@@padmeamidala4883 It is the first time I have read a comment as negative as yours. While the world is amazed by his voice and his interpretation, you analyze whether he pronounced each word correctly. You could try singing in Russian or Kasakh and be understood like a native.

Exactly. My first time listening to Dimash woke me (then aged 63 yrs) up from many years of severe post-traumatic experience depression. The impact was so startling I had an insatiable thirst for more and more. Six months after that day, I was embarking on the most incredible mind-blowing journey of my life to fly from New Zealand to Australia to Hong Kong and then travel to Dimash’s concert in Shenzhen, China. After the concert I flew to Kazakhstan and eventually met Dimash in his hometown of Aktobe (up near the Russian border) in 2018. My life was changed forever. You should hear Dimash ding the Diva Dance from The Fifth Element movie. If you didn’t know, that piece was written specifically to be humanly unsingable. Dimash took this as a personal challenge. 👽👽👽👽

This video was 7 years ago and was his big breakthrough into becoming a superstar in China and many other countries around the world. Today people fly in from all over the world to see his concerts, many being over 3 hours (this year in Hong Kong 4 hours). He is today recognised by many professional singers and musicians as the best all-around singer/performer both technically and artistically the world has ever seen. Take it from me this is just the tip of an extremely large iceberg.

Try Stranger from new wave 2021. Dimash is epic. That song is in English. Olympico from Igor Krutoys channel, is in Italian, Igor wrote the song just for the voice of Dimash. I saw the performance you showed in 2017 on KZread and was captivated. Watched Dimash every day since for a couple of hours every day. Been to three overseas concerts and going to both concerts in may, Budapest and Istanbul. Dimash has enormous stage presence and absolutely lives his fabs calls us dears as we are as dear as gus family. He is very much the humanitarian. I’m 79 and from U.K..

My first time was this SOS performance nearly 5 years ago and afterwards I felt that I had forgotten to breath, I was crying without noticing and was so deeply touched by the pure beauty of Dimash's voice and the whole sound. And I still cry very often when I listen to Dimash, with pure delight and love and gratitude. And it's getting "worse" 😉, you will understand when you discover him more and more, Dimash is much more than the whole package... Looking forward to more Dimash, I like you a lot! ❤

Cannot believe this is your first time listening to Dimash. He is a genius musician and person He does all genres. My first time in 2017 hearing him was because it went viral. A large deep rabbit hole. He has a new video just out called WHEN IVE GOT YOU. I HAVE listened to no less than 30 reactors listening to that video and probably 100 listening to SOS. He is beyond and I am glad I am here to witness him. He is a once in a lifetime singer.

I felt exactly the same way I was sold on the first three lines absolutely beautiful voice... and then off we went. the range, the control, the seamless register shifts and octave jumps, the pitch perfect, the soft head voice breathy phonated notes, the dynamics, the emotion, the classical tones (the tenor), shifting seamlessly to power metal belts (head voice reinforced very unique, very safe zero tension), shifting to a beautiful falsetto with a little R&B run and then that delicate finish beautiful soft airy crescendo, diminuendo and living the song throughout, immaculate stage presence... yeah I was floored. But then after another couple of songs, Sinful Passion and Stranger I watched next I realised that this (S.O.S) was just a teaser and I had seen and heard nothing yet... I am not joking every time, every single time, Dimash surprises, I hope you react to many more you will love it, oh and say it (Dee-Marsh Koo-di- berr-gen) [a very small roll of the 'r' not russian or italian RRRRRR]

How did i feel. I don't know if i could describe it except feeling such intense and overwhelming emotions that I never felt before in my life. There was before Dimash and after Dimash, and after Dimash there was a completely new life. To me he is a soul healer. For 5 years now I constantly, daily listen to him and he moves and astonishes me just as much, if not more, than when I heard him for the first time.

I was shocked that you have never heard of Dimash, and was delighted to see the look on your face in your first reaction. You have just fallen into the biggest rabbit hole in your life, and I can't wait to see your next reaction to Dimash, who I consider to be the greatest male vocalist in my lifetime. I've been around 70+ years, and have seen and heard them all, but Dimash and his 7 octave range is in a world all to himself. Can't wait to see your next reaction. Enjoy!

I can’t say Dimash is the best singer in the world-I haven’t heard them all-but he is the best singer I have ever heard. No singer has ever affected me like Dimash. He can emote songs perfectly in languages he doesn’t even speak. I hope you continue your Dimash adventure. You won’t be sorry. I am subscribing just in case you do. I was thinking the same thing when you said that you were surprised he never heard of him.

congratulations you have seen about 10% of what DIMASH is capable of; happy journey with DIMASH; you are in for a hell of a ride. you have witnessed what many professionals refer to as the best singer ever in this world. Vocal coaches say they can teach anyone to sing; but no one can teach what DIMASH does.

I really hope to see more reactions to Dimash. He is amazing.

The first time ever...I had headphones on. I threw them off across the room when he hit the second high note... it was building up and my brain was in total denial. My life has a before Dimash and an after Dimash. I regret not catching that on video hahaha

I cried at how beautiful his voice is and how effortless it seems for him to bring someone hearing him to such an amazing emotional response that cannot speak French. And now after seeing the lyrics translated on another video...I cry even harder because the lyrics are beautiful and haunting.

I was bawling when his duet with Placido Domingo came out. I was simply overwhelmed by the beauty of his voice. I think it took me more than 2 weeks of every day listening (multiple times) to finally stop tearing up.

Ok, welcome to the world of Dimash. It’s a wonderful world to explore as he has not 1 set style or range (as you heard). The first time I saw this was June 20, 2020. I was instantly Dimashified. I couldn't sleep for weeks! I looked up everything I could find about him. I listened to every song, and every interview. It is almost 4 years later. I'm still equally amazed and, now that I know him better, I feel deeply attatched. ❤

You'll be glad to know his vocals have improved immensely since that early performance [seriously -- he honestly continues to get better and better steadily -- not joking]. You're about to go down one of the deepest rabbit holes in music that you'll ever find... and, he will break all the musical genre limitations you may have previously thought existed as normal. The first time I heard Dimash, that day four years ago, I felt something I had never felt before. My mind and spirit truly connected for the first time in my entire life. They were always separated, as if fighting, each one on their own in an eternal inner struggle within me. Only my heart sometimes obligated them to make peace by force. I didn't understand a word of what I heard, just THAT VOICE and felt that emotional strength and that faithful dedication to what we call music. And then my mind and my spirit joined hands and went in search of my soul so that that voice could also embrace and caress them, and my heart finally had peace. I was 49 years old at the time, but I felt as if I had just been born. I was completely sure that it was my awakening to eternity. That eternity where art, life and happiness converge and merge. Those of us who are capable of perceiving him in all his magnitude also merge with him because Dimash, when he sings, stops being himself and becomes art itself.

WOW!!! What a perfect description of Dimash!!!! It completely replicates my own experience with Dimash!!! I wouldn't say that I am a particularly luck person, but my first exposure to him was in February 2017 - and if I was with others at time, I probably would have looked and sounded like Sebs!

I don't believe what you're saying. I am surprised and shocked,😮 as if you were speaking in my tongue.. I felt the same way you did when I listened to him for the first time.

Dimash is such a beautiful human with a beautiful voice. He just released a new MV “When I’ve Got You” everything he sings, he becomes the song. He makes you feel. Even if you don’t speak the language of the song even without subtitles. You feel everything about the song. I’m so happy you finally found him. He calls his fans his Dears as they are all dear to his heart ❤

At 6:39: "I love that reaching for it.." I've watched this song DOZENS of times, and this is the *first* time I've noticed that Dimash "reaches" for that note be sliding into it from the half-step below, like a long grace note. No wonder he sounds so good. Vocal slides are amazing.

This is the first song I heard from Dimash, and I had tears in my eyes the entire song. And then I heard his Ave Maria and the flood gates really opened. I am so excited to be going to the Budapest concert on May 4th. Another bucket list item goes down.

I went to his one concert in America, in NYC back in December 2019, right before the 'rona took over. This was the video where I first saw him and had to pick my jaw up off the floor once the goose bumps subsided. He's amazing.

I'm an amateur singer and I cried the first time I listened to him.

I actually seen him live on stage when he had his first solo concert in America, in New York City, at the Barclays Center back in 2019. There is a miracle in Dimash. The world's first vocal. After 2017, when I saw this speech, I simply could not listen to anyone else. I attended his concert in Dusseldorf (Germany) it was a miracle. As an 🇺🇸 subscriber of yours, I am also a huge Dimash fan. He is a once in a Century singer who has complete control of his voice in every way. Dimash always astounds. I just wish he got more recognition from his peers, but Dimash goes his own way as far as his career. You should try "Stranger (new wave 2021)", sung in English, live from Russia. It will blow your mind especially the ending.

I stumbled across him in the opening days of the epidemic:: listening to him (obsessively) kept me sane. He was offered a place with Astana Opera when he graduated, but he refused because he wanted a career doing cross-over music. Once someone who loves music discovers Dimash, there are no choices - it's down the rabbit hole we go. I'll be watching! liked/subscribed.

I still get whole body chills every time I watch this magnificant performance! The first time I watched this video - many years ago when it was first released - I was thrilled to the bone and in complete awe! I had it on repeat for weeks!! Couldn't get enough! I love watching the audience reaction too. His amazing and powerful voice, his comanding presence and good looks- he's the whole superstar package. I come back to watch again- every now and then- and always experience the same thrill! Dimash is an outstanding, other worldly, performer and I've heard he is a beautiful humble man too. As he wants to be independent, he is not pushed by the music major companies. But his talent is so insane that his concerts in big stadiums are sold out all around the world: 2y ago, he organized a huge concert in his homeland and his fans came from 68 countries (for me, it was a trip of 6500 kms). He can sing all registers, bass, baritone, tenor, mezzo soprano, soprano, more than 7 octaves (his highest note is out of the piano...), and every genres: pop, funk, rock, opera, ballads, rap, jazz, R&B...: you should check Stranger (in English), Olimpico (in Italian), Love is like a dream (in Russian), or his latest masterpiece When I've got you (1 Mio views on YT in 6 days) The performance you just watched took place in 2017: you cannot imagine how better he is now, Dimash is the only one able to improve perfection. And last but not least, he is an extraordinary beautiful human being, very humble, a lot of humour, with strong values, loving his country and his family, and tirelessly advocating for solidarity, respect and peace all around the world. He really transcends boundaries, cultures and religion. Dimash is a gift to the world, an absolute genius. He is beyond everything we have known so far: the next level, the ultimate performer.

This was also the first performance I viewed of Dimash and it took me 20 minutes to break the stun lock. That was 3 years ago and still hooked, although more for his belting at this point than the high notes. Enjoy the journey!
