I’m amazed at how dedicated these feeders are, especially in today’s economy and for creatures that many people consider vermin. Whatever their reasons are for feeding the monkeys, I’m glad that they are. Not that they couldn’t survive without them, but it does help some who aren’t very high on the social ladder.

It's nice to know that they can survive on their own without any human interference although I'm sure they like the goodies that the regular feeders bring them thanks for all you do I love watching them and listening to your commentary

@Desiree Jackson. That’s true. They’ll always have that “wild monkey” in them. The extra goodies from the Registered Feeders program helps them during the lean times in winter and it also keeps them in the park instead of ransacking people homes.

@@stompingpeak2043 No Stomping Peak. What you see on the video is the monkeys being monkeys. And they act like monkeys whether they get food or not. I promise you that they did not sign a contract nor did they carry a sign that says “Will perform for food” They groom each other, themselves, scratch their backs and raise their babies all on their own just as they forage on the grass, leaves and berries on their own free will…. Which you saw there in the video. Have a lovely day Stomping. 😁

@@stompingpeak2043 Notice how they don't attack for food though. It doesn't look like a highly populated area to begin with so I don't think they rely on people for food. If people do come by and drop of some goodies, I think it's more like a supplement for them.

I absolutely adore these guys and the beautiful babies. I get to watch them through your and your lens AM, and it feels like i am right there with them in that lovely scenery. I dont know how much longer I have on this mortal coil, But seeing this is one of the highlights of my days. I am glad to see you back AM I even had to take a small break because I had followed Candy's plight in the wild. I saw allot of beautiful moments of her, when she wasnt scared but playing and starting to come into her own. I miss her and still am heartbroken over her but I am glad there are people like you with a heart and caring soul to do what you can with minimal interference. All these stories you tell make me laugh, cry, and was right there with you when they lost some monkeys in the troup. This is one thing I will cherish when I pass but not just for these wonderful creatures, but you gave me hope for our humanity when we are at its lowest point. Candy just caught my eye and I watched when there was vids of her, furious at those greedy ppl. But no one can hurt her anymore and she is safe from them now. I couldnt do what you do and not have my heart broke if one or two of the troup went missing and never came back. You are a wonderful light shining in the dark. Please dont ever give up. You guys showed me the real truth of what these babies go through, and what I thought was so cute and sweet horrify me now. A man in North Carolina in the states has several monkeys, and sadly they are legal to own there, I checked. I guess he thinks ok to feed the monkey the things he does as half is junk food and bad for them at times. But one vid he had about 3-4 cages I could make out, and could hear them in the cages behind him. His monkey i saw is called BOO. I know these creatures are majestic and beautiful, but they belong i the wild. I will give him props here and he has a make shift jungle gym, but the monkey sleeps in a hammock and its all mesh and he could seriously get hurt if he gets caught in that net. Please people I am begging just leave these babies in the wild with thier families. they arent made to be human or dress, act, or eat like a human.

They’ll never lose that innate wild monkey that forages. If the humans stop bringing food, they could survive on the hill with only their greens. But I think the Meals On Wheels program also keeps them in the park instead of them venturing out & ransacking people homes in search of “goodies”. Thanks Arroz.
