The magnetosphere is down at least 20 % from 1859, but the poles may be just experiencing an excursion, which can be worse due to the rapidness with which it tends to happen.

It cant be the sun. It cant explain why lower atmosphere temperatures are rising WHILE higher atmosphere temperatures are decreasing. If it was the sun, they should be both rising. This process can only be explained if the main effect at play here is an increase of the greenhouse effect.

Yep, the more I study the effects of the collapsing magnetic fields on health and weather, I am realizing they are using every bit of data, misinformation, exaggeration, old and obsolete conspiracy theories to move the attention away from the Sun. All at the same time that they need to coordinate these attacks with Sun's activity for plausible deniability. In 2023, 80% of internet problems that were blamed on cyber attacks / hackers, happened just as a Solar storm was impacting. Funny that these hackers synchronize with the sun.

At this point, the abstraction referred to as money makes no sense. Within a couple of decades we will be shoved back into the stone age. I would advise figuring out what to do when 80-90% of humans are eating each other in the cities.

Well over 99% of climate on Earth is driven by solar activity. We are at solar maximum right now, in the eleven year solar cycle. Earth is tilted about 23%--that little difference is why we have seasons--all it takes it a little tilt toward the sun to make summer, and a little tilt away from the sun to make winter. What human beings do makes no meaningful difference at all.

That's not actually true, historically, the number of sunspots is nowhere near the maximum we have seen in the last few solar cycles. However, the magnetosphere has been weakening over the past century, from 5% reduction in magnetic flux per century to 5% reduction in magnetic flux per decade. The magnetosphere is what protects us from solar outbursts or coronal mass ejections. This means smaller solar activity has a greater impact on the weather and all our technology.

Stone age actually.... you will be left with what you can forage. There are very few people alive that have the knowledge and skills to build a forge with no tools to make tools and weapons etc, as an obvious example. Otherwise, yes, I agree. It will be a good thing.... the ultimate in natural selection, if you will.

Wow. That only illustrates how good a con-job they have done on you with all the climate propaganda out there. When it happens; you will know.... at least if you survive the initial impacts. But it will likely make the UK largely unlivable. Then all you have to do is survive in a stone age environment with no electricity or mechanised infrastructure for a decade or two afterwards before the tropical weather makes it's way to you. I'll let you figure out the why and how, if you actually want to know.

Good they're actually talking about it now, BUT a solar flare could arrive in 14 minutes, not 14 hours, if it's strong enough. Carrington Event was 17 minutes, and there wasn't a very weak magnetic field that we have now...

@paulveenings6861 They're not updating to my knowledge but I've not checked his website recently. I was so incredibly sad to hear of his passing. I was in regular dialogue via email to him and became concerned when I had not seen a new video for a few months....I begun re watching his latest listed video and checked comments to find of his passing in the comments section. Such a massive loss to his community and those yet to discover his work. I'm pleased I at least have all his books ever published...even his first editions. They are a treasure on my book shelves and I consider them the most important books I own. RIP Doug!

They like to think they are authorities. And as far as I can see they are doing a terrible job of preparing.

The Carrington event was believed to be between X40 and X80 in strength, the solar storms in early May were X1 to X 3 and they created northern light in areas further south than the Carrington event did, the difference is the Earths weakening magnetic field.

Solar Maximum can be an issue, but the weakening of the Magnetosphere seems to be compounding the usual threats. Smaller events are causing more intense geomagnetic storms. If we were to get an X10 earth facing, it could get really interesting.

Another Carrington event could take down our entire electricity grid by frying all electronic circuits. No power, no money….

If it happened today; every building with any wiring or steel framing would likely burst into flames instantly and all simultaneously. No power and no money? They would be far from a concern.

I'm waiting for ANY of these geniuses to explain how a little X1.5 was capable of producing record aurora. Any explanation at all. At this point I'd be fine if they make something up. Tell me a freaking lie, but at least address it because the silence is deafening. I'm not the only one raising an eyebrow over this. This shouldn't have happened.

Sky News - I am glad that you're reporting on this. Please look into geomagnetic excursions. There is a LOT more to this story. Magnetic north has been moving at an alarming rate and no one is talking about it.

Then I would suggest working on you natural defenses, by getting healthy.... if you had the gene therapy, you may need to sort out a detox regime to purge that nonsense from your body. Get right mentally. Get right spiritually. Get right physically. Then prepare for the kick into the stone age. You have a decade (or up to 3 decades on the outside chance) to get yourself together. It turns out that "conspiracy theorists" and "preppers" were the only sane ones out there after all.

If your not in amateur radio it still not too late.. don't depend on repeaters as much as getting family and community comms up .. a carrington event would be devastating now a days.. sry but hope and prayer are not a good survival plan..

@Rev_GC h.t.'s would be fine and most other mobiles.. unplugged from the wall, use a car battery... just keep some h.t's aside with antenna detached but they shouldn't be affected either, they won't resonate like long power lines and house wire would.. they would become overloaded antennas..

Actually, since the “big day of aurora”, the sun has been relatively quiet.

It's called Grand Solar Maximum. One more year.

Another good reason to not lose cash. Get a record player, and keep buying books. We are far FAR too reliant on digital crap.

Well yeah.... in the short term. Whilst you're getting ready to be propelled into the stone age. Although if you can save them from the inferno that was once your abode, books can be a great resource.... bushcraft, survival, wild edibles, fishing, hunting, stone-knapping, how to build a home with stone tools, how to build a foundry using stone tools, and how to forge your own tools and weapons, all great topics. You have a cycle or three to get ready.

They’ve said this for decades and never happens. Trust me they wouldn’t tell us if it were any significant event
