Its so "hard" to play now that Luka Doncic, Paul George and Giannis all said that the EuroLeague is more difficult to play than in the nba.

Luka said that Euroleage was harder than the NBA, that's bcs of the Defense. In jordan's Era, Defense was much more tight and physical, no sht players today can score 50+ points against no defense.

6:28.. .You're wrong. Today's athletes are not that much better than players from the 90's. The reason they seem that way is because the NBA changed the defensive rules in the mid-2000's to allow more freedom of movement for offensive players because the game was getting too slow and defensive teams like the '03 Pistons were dominating the league. All of the rule changes allowed offensive players to boost their numbers and pad their stats. The league implemented the hand check rule which was the biggest change, in addition to defensive three second rule. The league also became less stringent about guys carrying the ball, traveling etc. And they also became more lenient in terms of what they deem as an assist. The main difference between Jordan and LeBron is that Jordan dominated an era where the rules were in favor of big men. Before Michael and Magic, the only two backcourt players to win MVP were Cousy and Oscar Robertson. And they each only won the award once! All the other MVP winners from the inception of the NBA to when Magic won his first MVP, were front court players. Michael won five league MVPs and six finals MVPs as a guard in an era where the league had centers like Olajuwon, Ewing, Robinson, Mourning, Mutombo and young Shaq! And jordan did it without a dominant big man by his side. In fact the only All Star MJ had throughout his six championship runs was Scottie, a small forward who is arguably not top 5 at his position historically. Meanwhile LeBron has played with every All Star under the sun, and has routinely come up short. LeBron's two dominant title wins came against teams that were inexperienced (Thunder in 2012 and Heat in 2020). And the other two title wins required the opponent to choke in pivotal moments of the series. (Spurs in 2013 and GS in 2016)

Being the GOAT of anything means you are the absolute pinnacle of that thing. No one who got outplayed by Jason Terry in a Finals can ever be considered a GOAT. Do you remember that series when Hornachek out played MJ for the entire series off the bench and continuously blew by him? Yeah, neither do I. If you want to call yourself the best ever you can’t be the third best player on your super team in the Finals with a Game in which you score 8 points and disappear in 3 straight 4th Quarter games in which you have a chance to win.

And dont forget the officials rarely calling illegal or moving screens. This made teams to automatically switch defensively. So if you're a scoring guard and want an automatic mismatch, just ask for a screen and you'll get a slow ass center guarding you on top of the key. Then there's load mgmt and the league decreasing back to back games to give players more time to rest. Although its weird that today's player get injured often compared to players several years ago.

Correction Scottie was only an allstar for 4 of the finals so Jordan won 2 without an allstar as Pippen came up puny on some occasions. Pippen is not a top 10 SF. Bird, Lebron, Doc, Durant, Kawhi, Baylor, Barry, Pierce, Dantley, English, Worthy, Wilkins, King, Havalecek, and if not for injuries he'd be further behind.

He was a 3x steals leader, a 9x all defensive first teamer, a DPOTY, was the fastest to 100 steals & 100 blocks, and is the only player to get to 100 steals and blocks, plus score 2,000 points in a season. The only reason the Warriors even made the Finals in 2016 was because KD and Russ choked in the conf finals and allowed the Warriors to claw themselves back in the series. The Warriors losing only 9 regular season games was cancelled by them losing 9 postseason games including the final game 7. This eliminates them from GOAT team discussion. Can't be one of the greatest teams of all time if you failed to win the c'hip.

People discredit MJ for his size compared to Lebron, but forget that Jordan has the highest vertical ever recorded in the NBA and once ran a 4.3 forty. He’s a physical freak in his own right. Hilarious too how he tried to bring up the help MJ had, but trailed off after Horace Grant. Not the best argument to bring up in this particular debate considering the multiple Super teams Lebron built throughout his career. Jordan also won at the college level and took 1 year and a half off in his prime. 🐐

I love when dudes act like 1990s were the 1890s. Jordan was playing the year before Lebron entered the league and was the greatest mid range shooter of all time. Go react to the Kevin Durant podcast when he’s asked about MJs game and rate it 1-5. He rates him zero on his jumper (1 = the best 5 = the worst) I’m a lifelong Cavs fan and the only time I got to see MJ in person he was 40yrs old and hit the game winner on us….AGAIN. I was ecstatic when we drafted Lebron and have been rooting for him to be the GOAT for two decades now. He played 11 full healthy seasons for my Cavs and got us a ring. Jordan played 11 full healthy seasons for the Bulls and got them TWO 3peats. There aren’t enough excuses in the world to even that out. Lebron is the King. MJ is God the debate ain’t even real

You said that people are saying that Lebron "can't" play defense. I have honestly never seen anyone in a comment section say Lebron couldn't play defense. Lebron is a very good defensive player. What people are saying is that, a lot of the time, Lebron DOESN'T play defense, which is different. The difference between a player like Jordan and Lebron is that, while both are supremely athletic and have the potential to be an elite defender at all times, only Jordan did that. He didn't give up on plays. He ran down fast breaks, he put his body on every player, big or small, and he had his hand in everyone's face. He never half-assed his game, on defense or offense. That's the difference. Lebron has had years that he was in the running for the DPOY award, then years where he wasn't even in the discussion. It's the difference between playing a full 82 game season and playing 60 of the 82 games for "load management". The small differences between a GOAT-caliber player and a tremendous player that will just never quite get there. And I'm tired of this "the Golden State Warriors in 2016 were the greatest team of all time because they went 73-9". They are not. Because the regular season ONLY determines where a team is seeded in the playoffs. Otherwise, it is meaningless. The record is amazing, but pointless. What was that same team's record in the playoffs? 15-9. And they not only lost 5 games BEFORE the finals, they lost the finals and didn't win the championship. That is a 88-18 record. PERIOD. When the games really started to matter, they didn't play nearly as well. The Bulls of 1996 (who I consider the greatest ever) won 72-10, which is impressive, but, when the playoffs started, they went 15-3, 2 of those losses coming IN the finals against the second best team in the league. And if you watched that finals, it was competitive, but honestly never much in doubt. Because the Bulls continued consistently dominating in the playoffs. That means their final record was 87-13. By your own argument, 88-18 is a WORSE record than 87-13. And, since numbers seem to be so important, there are your numbers for you.

scoring in the 90s is much harder. im honestly bored watching todays games coz every player can get to the rim easy. theres no physicality and a lot of the stars are stat padding. back in the 90s, you have to be really good to score and everybody wants to hurt their opponents. just watch the allstar game then and now.

LeBron's greatest case for the GOAT debate is his Longevity stats or total accumulative stats. We give him props for that. However when it comes to the GOAT debate, that argument puts LeBron in a disadvantage because MJ has accomplished more in fewer playing years. Longevity should always be put in context of accomplishments. How much accomplishment a player got in his years of playing. TBh, it only took MJ 11 full seasons as a bull to accomplish all the important ones.

No need for load management. Practice was harder than the game. Nowadays, practice isn't as intense so your body isn't adapting to anything cause they aren't pushing themselves as hard as they do in the game. More injuries that way

That shooting outside 3ft stat was incredibly important during Jordan's time. During crunch-time, there was a saying...the refs are going to let the players decide it. That means..no whistles...You drive hard to the cup...you're likely to get hammered and throw up a weak shot and lose. It's safer to pull up and get a clean look off.

17:07 -- bottom line is, Michael Jordan's Bulls were like if you added LeBron to the GS Warriors. Separating MJ from the team he built, you'd have a pretty good team (like the Warriors) without a star of the same caliber as LeBron, much less MJ. And having those two elements on one team is what made the Bulls great and Michael even greater. Comparing LeBron to MJ is just not fair to LeBron, because he loses by almost every measure.

Considering the different era's rules/positions/roles and let's call it, 'the longevity factor' of Bron, the only way to have THE goat discussion would be 1v1. Prime MJ vs prime LeBron. So now which era's rules? I think both would agree on today's rules. Neither would want to get hurt (but more to come later). Bron is fast, but because of physics it takes just a little more time to get that much mass up to speed. MJ prime is fast AND quick. In most scenarios MJ would beat Bron to 'the spot' (off. and def) and get more open looks as well as contest more Bron shots. It would not be a blow out, but I HAVE to give the stamina advantage to MJ. Quicker and faster for longer = more open looks and contesting more Bron shots (I typed that twice because it is important.) edit: later: Bron would do better 1v1 with MJ era rules. The less fouls called the better for big Bron. But on the opposite side of that is MJ could play up and hand-check Bron at the 3-point line while LeBron would be foolish to defend that close or he simply get's beat to the basket. Am I rambling? I feel like I am rambling... edit2: I was rambling because of a lost thought. It was physics again. MJ just has way more control over his body than Bron. He slower to get up to speed AND slow down. More fouls, less overall control. Best out of 100 games? MJ - 72 Bron - 28. Edit3: It would have been MJ - 68 Bron -32, but bron was not playing those nights, while MJ scored 38 points in a finals game with the flu, throwing up at bench.
