Hate this 'we're top of x metric so we should have the most players' paradox bs.... Just shows you have a good team overall and less individual brilliance; it's not hypocritical. Unfortunately for Arsenal players, with this being a 3-way choice, the positions where Liverpool have comparatively weaker players, are the same positions where City have their best, and vice-versa. Essentially, City's weakness this season = CBs, GK and Wingers, and City's strengths = Midfield and Fullbacks; whereas Liverpool's weaker areas this season = Fullbacks and midfielders, but their strengths = CBs, GK, and Wingers.

Because there can be individual outliers that are so good that they erode the benchmark. Harry Kane is so good the trophy argument is kinda irrelevant, whereas Saka, as good as he is, isn't on Kane's level and doesn't make up for it.

I mean who would you put in? The left back for arsenal has been ever changing. As good as Gabriel is, Van Dijk is the best center back in the world. And Ben white hasn’t been great at the start of the season, even if picked up his form massively since the Dubai vacation. Also Declan rice contributes massively to the defense so it’s technically 2/5 players selected.

I mean if you're gonna pick players that actually plays LW, Jota deserves to be there. When has Saka played LW this season? So you have Jota, Diaz, Trossard, Martinelli, Doku and Grealish. I would go Jota as well. Mac isn't a bad shout either, since De Bruyne hasn't played enough this season and Rice is really competing for the DM spot against Rodri, not the CM spot. Ødegaard not getting a shout there is weird to me though, based on this season, and picking actual CMs, I would probably go Ødegaard and Mac. LB this season is a weird one, hard to really pick anyone as none of the three teams have really had a main LB. Darwin over Haaland is pure feels though lol, but tbf he is at least more entertaining.

@@Tullekunstner martinelli and diaz have been better this season (mainly martinelli), jota hasnt played as much and the XI in the vid is based on this season. Odegard not getting a shout is definitely weird but mac allister should be no where near this team when you have the likes of odegard, foden, kdb (with the numbers hes done already after being out) and bernardo sliva as well. You can even put Rice before mac allister because Rice is not an out right cdm like rodri, he attacks way more in the box and is much more attack minded compared to rodri. LB as u said has been a weird one anyone could get a shout, gomez was probably the right answer and haaland all day but i can understand what people may mean when they say nunez is more entertaining so to say

You could put two combined eleven teams together and wonder which team would win if they played each other. The team they put together is awesome but I would’ve put Gabriel in over VVD as I believe him and Saliba have been the best CB pairing this season.

After the Liverpool v Man City game, this aged well...

As a Arsenal fan Gabriel overall is a better all round centre back than Saliba at the moment although Saliba's ceiling is probably higher. The two of them together if they keep it up will go down as one of the best centre back pairing ever in the Premiere League

Not putting Nunez LW is hurting my feeling ngl, cuz a Salah-Haaland-Nunez line is just heartbreaking for every defense they play against

Tbf i think last season zinchenko was rly good aswell so it was close, this season ake has been by far the best but not even that great 😂

Darwin Nunez should've been the pick at LW, he's been one of our best players this season.

Respect to him for defending nunez when nobody did! you a legend for that and that’s coming from an Uruguayan myself

The games aint harder for players playing for the best sides. Even Kyle Walker on FIVE by Rio Ferdinand has said how playing at Man City is easier than it was compared to Tottenham

MØ is still one of the more underrated players around. His work of the ball, and organizing the attack is world class. Wouldn't have swapped him for anyone, but I'd found a way to get Rice in.

If Robertson was fit, he’d be straight in. Started the season superbly. Came off the bench vs City and showed exactly why he had the most defender assists in the PL, as well as being a top defender. Always underrated. Constantly excellent for club and country.

No Odeedaard or Silva but 2 defensive midfielders... I've been saying this, these guys have great topics but don't have enough football knowledge.. Thank God it's just for socials 💀

Both teams 2nd CBs have been great and arguably outplayed their counterparts this season but the thing about VVD and Saliba is that they're good regardless of who is around them. They both make the defense around them better. Konate has looked lost sometimes when playing next to Gomez and Matip and Gabriel has just started to be consistent since Saliba has come on

I don't wanna buy a ticket just to see nunez practicing hit the bar on the match😂😂
