I used to have a good size scooter as a kid. Got in an accident and my mom never let me have another. You are living the life!😂
I am from HCM city, I eat bun cha the same way your friend showed you, anh. I really like your video, it's just like I am watching myself eating that lol. Thanks for telling everyone that Vietnamese street food is safe. Almost 100 million Vietnamese can eat without a doubt, so does everyone. I always think it is a lucky day if I can find a new favourite spot
i've been watching you seen you posted cooking videos back in the state. thank you for bringing smile and culture knowledge to everybody. keep it up !!

I love your thought on 'is the food safe to eat in Vietnam', reminds of Ron Swason's quote of 'When I eat, it is the food that is scared.'.

The way you describe the taste and texture almost makes me feel like I have to taste the food. You need more subscribers and this comes so naturally to you. Great job, dude.
Com thit nuong is one of my favorite dishes growing up and it’s my go to dish that I’ll introduce to my non Asian friends.
One of my fave Vietnamese dishes!!!

Loving your edits bro
Chad, first of…completely agreed with you that we can get sick eating food from anywhere in the world. So, just leave that thought behind and emerge yourself in the culture where ever you go in this case, Vietnamese street food! I’m lucky I live in OC, CA. There are a couple decent bún chả Hà Nội here that everyone in my family and all the extended members love, love and love to eat at least once a month! Great video! Thank for doing this, I experience vn (my mother land) thru Max McFarlin, Chris Lewis, Phúc mập and now you! 😂😂😂
One of my favorites😌🤤

Great review. Fun episode. If I had to pick.... please don't make me pick lol
Love your videos man, but some parts have been sped up and the edit is a little too quick - it takes away from the great content! It would be better as a longer video at a natural speed IMO.
You're 1000% right about the charcoal grilled "chả" and pork in general, that's where the flavor comes from. If anyone is new to Vietnam, always look for busy stall/restaurant if you're worried about food safety.
The production and editing for this video is top notch. Urgh, the food looks so good!!
How is this channel only have 31k sub? Everything is perfect 😢❤

You should do an episode where you sample all the possible xoi (sweet rice) available for breakfast in VN. LOL
Another great video of Chad Breakfast for $1 in Vietnam! I’m loving it ! Liked and shared❤
Before 1975 we put food in the round tray same Đậu hú mắm tôm. You take 1 piece of meat, little rice noodles, 1 leave of each herb for 1,2 bite , 1 tablespoon fish sauce to small bowl( use pickle bowl size). More fun and taste better than to put every thing to big bowl too salty, too much fish sauce like soup not good . Same you eat Bún thịt nướng (fork grill noodles) not a soup .
The shots on the second spot were amazing, the videos look better and better each time. Food looked great!
15 meter from this place, there's a Circle K. Right outside is a lady that sell 10x better Bun Thit Nuong then that and way cheaper. And she only got a cart that she pushing around. Sell out in 2 hours, be there before 8A.M and try it out please xD

Love to see your channel growing everyday. Keep it up Chad, love your contents!
So cool! I love this sort of content mate! Keep it up! Informational, concise and professional. Banh Hoi is my favourite dry noodles. A lot of people think of food, they don't expect texture from rice noodles or rice can really change the experience or even the dish. Another example would be Com Tam.
Great content as usual Sir, but I do have to commend you on the videography and editing. You've really stepped up your game!! Congrats!
I love your video bro! Super like the way you talk: fast, clear, concise, to the point and not beating around the bush! Btw: for a foreigner, your southern Vietnamese pronunciation is top notch, almost like a native! Congrats bro!

Next time, you should try Xôi Bắc (Northern Sticky rice) and Xôi Nam (Southern Sticky Rice). You should make a series of food from North to South that are similar in names but different in the way how they made it
Great video. I would say they're noodle dishes, salads/herbs are optional. But it definitely makes the meal more light and healthy for sure.
1:21 got to be one of the smoothest transition I've ever seen
Ông này nói tiếng việt rất giỏi nha
Trời ơi ! Thèm quá....
This dish is a childhood favorite of mine, the place I get it from here in hawaii is almost a mix of the two styles!
Looking good my friend 🇱🇷👍

From the couple of times I have seen you, I like how you represent our culture and food. A plus for holding/using chopsticks like a pro. You have potential of growing your channel like the other four guys. You should bring your son out with you. A father and son channel, unlike the other four guys. Wish you the bst Chad.

Thank you!
I am fascinated about how you mastered using chopsticks and spoon, like a local Vietnamese 😅😅😅
Enjoy breakfast thanks
So about food safety in Vietnam, it's a concern of locals too so don't worry, you guys aren't the only one being wary of it, so a couple of on hand rules for food safety in Vietnam: 1. A safe to eat store is always full of locals. Locals like their food good and also understands that cheapening out on meals, means a repayment at the hospital later, so if a store is crowded, it's safe to assume the food is safe. 2. Some food are only sold at a specific time, for example "bột chiên" or sweet potato cake with pork lard, is always sold afternoon, so if you pass by a "bột chiên" store and it's empty, it might not be because it's bad, it's might be because it's not usually eat at that hour. 3. The best way to ensure that a store is safe is to check for reviews online. Store with online review on website like Shoppee or Foodie tends to be safe and delicious, of course, roaming around in the back alley tends to yield better results and more fun... 4. If you aren't a local ALWAYS be wary of anything in district 8. District 8 is infamous for cheap food and bad food. If you aren't introduced to as store, or seen a review, or knew the store owners personally, be very careful of any food stall, store or restaurant in district 8.
try the middle bun thit nuong like in da nang. They ditch the fish sauce and put in the hoisin sauce with peanut instead. Eat that and nothern and southern will never be able to beat that combination.
fyi, to the westerner people. if you ever see a shirtless dude in boxers cooking. stop! do not pass and order. like stop, drop and roll. why? cause, think of the balls. dude, don't care cause it's that great.

Wow! Your Vietnamese is very good.
6:00 one thing to note that if you have some kind of allergies or intolerance you should becareful. Most of us dont have allergies and know very little about it so sometimes even you told the staff about your allergies they could just forgot or maybe dont understand and put it in.
The introduction and description are fully and so delicious, but i have a question. Where is "Hoang Sa" and " Truong Sa" of the picture on your shirt ?
You just did a great work. Next time, can u try the central region food wises in Viet Nam? You did both South and North, but it is an shortcoming if you will not even come to my hometown Cam Ranh, a wonderful coastal city , especially the local seafood here and definitely all the reviewed dishes in the video will have a slightly different decent style and worth to enjoy.

Really good! I am hungry now 😂😂
seeing many foreigners eating northen Bún chả, most of them may pass it but you should add in grind garlic. I'm not a big fan of garlic but it really boosts the flavor

If you want to try the BEST AMERICAN BBQ, we found Jakes BBQ in HO CHI MIN…I’ve travelled all over the USA eating BBQ, I think Jakes tops them all! Might make a good video for your channel.
I love bun thit nuong. I like banh hoi with dry shrimp powder. Well, you should try eating that fish herb. It's will grow on you and you will get used to the smell.
Would love to see how those spider web noodles are made. So interesting

There we vietnam have becberin. Which is quite famous. Can solve stomach ache issue nonetheless. It is tiny pills and contain in small container. So feel free with polite as you are🎉
Các anh Tây về Hà Nội , Sài Gòn vn ăn phở và bún thịt nướng Uống bia là ok , ngon bổ và lành đấy ok
😀
It seems like you don’t miss all the hamburgers and steaks anymore haha
The most infamous dish ever invented
I dont think the soup comes with meat in Bun Cha is fish sauce tho. I think it is some soup cooked with meat somehow, eat bun cha so many time but never think its the fish sauce
I like bun thit nuong
Don't use a spoon to eat bun cha because it's a dipping sauce, not a soup, just dip the vermicelli into the dipping sauce and eat.
I love the noodles for breakfast, can you go over the money that is used in Vietnam.
Please make com tam
10/10
I'm with the others whom ask for a xoi episode. Show us a variety of xoi that's eaten there for breakfast both north and south. Do one that's savory for breakfast and one that's sweet (eaten as snacks). BTW, I'm with you on the fish mint...but as a chef, I'm surprised you don't like it as I assume you have a more refined palate. It always surprises me when Westerners eat it and actually like it as it's taken me a lifetime and I'm too afraid to try it again. LOL! You should consider a collab with "Big Time Bentley" and "What the Pho" as Van is a cutie.
