Who left the gate open??
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Apparently someone left the gate open that leads onto what is now a closed highway and this Chevy pickup drove right on through not knowing the road was now a snowmobile and ski trail. He got a little too close to the edge and ended up stuck in the ditch. After hiking to a nearby ski resort to borrow some shovels he attempted to dig himself out and made some progress until he broken the front axle in his truck. After that he was stuck there for the night and slept in his truck. The next day someone on the trail called me about it, so Grumpy and I took the 4x4 wrecker up to see if we could get him pulled out. With a little bit of winching we were able to get him out and spun around where he was able to drive out and back down the mountain on his own.

Grumpy is getting more and more comfortable with the camera all the time. And that wrecker is doing you an outstanding job.
As a retired firefighter who has been on a few recoveries, you are good at what you do. Watched too many tow operators who didn't care about the customer or their vehicle. And I have to add , Grumpy is a blessing to you and us who enjoy watching the banter between the two of you. I know you will never take him for granted.
You took a guy that had a bad day and night and another day, and made his life better. Turning him around and letting him stay in the truck to be warm was just like you Casey. You made sure he was safe. Great recovery by a great human and his dog, no his buddy...
I’m a 57 year old Oregonian that retired from the Army (Grunt) and I know exactly what you mean about the cardboard on the radiator, works every time. Having Grumpy along tells me you’re open to the wisdom of people that went before you and Grumpy respects that greatly whether he says it or not but I think he does. When a man is forgotten and not needed, it can affect them badly, thank you Case. One day I hope to return the great things you’ve done for others. A heavy truck/vehicle can behave differently on rough terrain, lighter trucks can “float” over small bad patches a little bit better than a full size rig and often that can be all one needs to get out.

Everybody needs a Grumpy :-)
Grumpy is fantastic DONT ever let him go or trade him in he’s Brilliant 🤩😍😍🇬🇧
Your cheerful demeanor and can-do attitude goes a long way towards reassuring those who are stuck.
You and Grumpy make for a fun team and the banter is always wonderful.
I love the short, or long, Grumpy and Casey do stuff videos. Always a highlight of my day. Peace Out.

"The Grumpy Show" featuring Casey LaDelle.
You definitely have the best office, lots of room for chenanigans. Grumpy is becoming quite the rescue coordinator using all this new fangled kit like seatbelts and stuff
Poor guy….Grumpy did a super job with the camera and that sunset was stunning. Thanks Casey! ❤️🇦🇺🇺🇸
Grumpy can tell you what colour T Rex was.😂😂😂.
Really Appreciate you taking Grumpy for the job Have a Great Day 👍
Casey in my opinion you and Grumpy make a good team Hooking up from the front and spinning the truck around with it on free spool so you can reposition the truck was a smart idea. You made it look easy plus taking the extra time to make sure you didn't damage the bumper was smart Keep up the great work
Great job! I love the relationship you have with Grumpy! I'm sure he appreciates you asking him to ride along. Makes him feel needed❤
Hey there Grumpy nice seeing you again. Thank you too for retrieving and Rescuing that young man that was stuck in the snow, job well done
I could listen to that truck idle all day long. Music to my ears 👌
It's so great having Grumpy there to comment on what's going on, adds a lot of fun and value to us viewers. Thank you for making these video's, keep them coming!
Absolutely gorgeous country. Broken drive Adams seem to be a common theme the more they dig and try and force their way out. You and Grumpy are a ton of fun to watch.

Poor ole grumpy and the seatbelts. Seems like they are fighting like kids. Haha
Kudos to the camera guy. He's under paid and under appreciated.
I was assigned to Eilson AFB in Alaska and we drove off road everyday. I got stuck in a very similar way. Bad thing was the squadron commander was in the truck with me. I got out the Hi-Lift jack we always carried, jacked and pushed it over till we were out of the ditch. He never said anything about it but we never had any trouble about getting stuff like Hi-Lift jacks from then on. We even modified M series vehicles with snow plows and winches because we were off road so much.

I lived in Fairbanks and did work with n Wilson AFB and Ft. Wainwright. Good times up there. An Airman have me his -60f Air Force winter boots because my Sorel's weren't up to the weather that week. Still got them. You in the Air Force had good gear. Use to enjoy the mock dog fighting during lunch.
Good to see Grumpy, didn't he do well 😊👍 Hurray, great new headlights that'll keep you and grumpy safe 👍
So happy to see grumpy. I miss my dad he used to come out on service calls with me and your interaction with grumpy so makes my heart happy and remember so many good trips with my dad working. Thankyou so much for your content, love it so much
Grumpy does a good job with the camera.
I love it so much when you and Grumpy do shenanigans together. Great friends!! Your banter is a joy to behold ‼️‼️
Love Grumpies old time banter, he has the ability to throw in a comment, just when it's needed. Advice on the pants was pure brilliance...'He never said he was good at this'... That was epic timing Grumpy. Good job, well done.
Yep we all love Grumpy. Great show. Get er done y'all!
You two make a good team. Easy to watch videos.
I enjoy the Grumpy and Casey do things shows. The banter is hilarious.
Wow.. grumppy is now getting the hang of recovery works. I think he's loving doing it w/ you. And you really don't forget showing us the beauty of nature. Very nice video. Keep up the good deeds. God Bless you more. 💓💓💓💓
That little wrecker is a beast .
Hello Grumpy !!
Great job guys
Grumpy's so old, he needs a burning permit for his Birthday Cake!! LOL
Very entertaining, and relatable, most of us have gotten stuck at some point.
I am sure glad I live in Florida, even though it is going to be in the 20's this weekend! NO SNOW!
Grumpy had me laughing when he said, he never said he was good at it half way through the recovery
Good job Casey and Mr Grumpy. Hope the young man gets his truck fixed fast.😉
Grumpy and I are to old for secrets great videos so good to see him back Thanks
Please do a review of the tire socks vs chains after you have used them for awhile.
It also looks like the truck in distress had quite the Rodeo. Judging from all those tracks well off the roadway.
If Grumpy reads these messages I’m sure he thanks you for editing out the part of him struggling to get into the truck without any assist handles available. Grumpy called you out on this one, when he said you have said “I never said I was good at this!”
I really like your comment … “other people’s business is not my business“ … that is truly a motto to live by …
Grumpy gotta keep you in line 😉 Great Job! Hopefully he didnt get ticket for breaking down. Poor kid Thank you Casey helping the kid out! 👍 Hope the top secret works out well!
It is indeed a fantastic "office"!!! I have been lucky enough to work "next door" at the "nearby ski resort" for the past 45 years. I can't think of a better "office" I really enjoy watching your views of your offices
Great job Casey and Grumpy on another recovery.
Nicely done gentlemen. From all the way down in Grants Pass
Grumpy u bring a lot of fun to the video and that road looks like a ice skating rink for trucks
the snow socks for driving are good but, under load I find that they fall apart faster. I will use them first for how fast putting them on and off is!! grumpy is an awesome camera person I hope he gets free tows for all the hard work you make him do! Poor man working in a cold snow without some hot coco. love the videos keep it up!
I just love that wrecker. Excellent purchase.
Love you’re wrecker. It’s way cooler than the newer stuff. I’m sure more reliable too. And Grumpy adds something nice to your videos too.
Another good video, thanks
You never have to say you’re good at this - because you simply are!
what a rad recovery Casey! Those socks are sure versatile. Great to have Grumpy along!
You know grumpy is old, when he has what looks like a lap robe! This thought from a 78 y o!
Saw the snow socks when you turned around before you hook to the Pick up
Reminder, always have a survival pack with. Some items; sleeping bag, food, water, blankets, flashlight & batteries, and a emergency locator.
The Casey and Grumpy Show!!! Now with 50% more traction
I love your videos with Grumpy
Anxious for updates on the snow socks. . . I have clearance issues to and would like a good recommendation for easy to put on socks when needed.

Grumpy in the house!
So the cardboard thing is another in the laundry list of derogatory terms I’ve had to unlearn … but that is a mighty fine resourceful person’s wintertime thermostat you repurposed for your self preservation and warmth … all the fancy folk around here have purposely tailored blankets with Velcro openings to control the winter air flow on their pickups … the big rigs have ‘‘em too!
Such a delite watchin Casey and Grumpy doin' stuff. luvit
Great video and great camera work, great job with the recovering God bless from GA and stay safe and happy holidays
Casey- as someone who has run chains on a dually in Montana for an entire winter (2wd utility truck) and gotten stuck extensively, get chains that run the full width of the dual. Or else if the chains start digging you just dig the 1/2 to 3/4” difference of the chained up dual vs the unchained one and the chained one digs an inch and the unchained one spins on the ice and you remain stuck. I suppose if you are never in a “stuck” situation it wouldn’t matter. If you just need a little more traction on hard pack snow, it wouldn’t matter… But if you need those chained up duals to dig, then get full width.
@CaseyLaDelle

I can’t put full dual chains on this truck with these wheels and tires.
Grumpy barking orders like a pro, gonna have to call this the Grumpy and Casey Show. 🤣
Grumpy he don't need ta say " he's good at this " action speaks louder than words, Unless there's five recovery that go wrong between the one's BIG C posts Thanks for the ridealong 🤙🖖
CVC joints suck! Good job Casey and Grumpy getting him out of the ditch and on his way!
Nice touch, showing concern for that nice truck bumper. Cheers.
Another fine rescue. Thank You
Nice new lights. Great video and save. Grumpy makes a nice addition.
if your headlights stop working, just turn on the sun!🤣🤣
Same deal in my area. MET in el dorado county outside of Placerville CA is legally 4wd/greensticker under 1,000cc from Sly Park Reservoir to the interchange at silver fork rd in snow conditions and everything from silver fork to hwy 88 is tracked vehicles only. There is a gate at silver fork but if they get 6ft of snow overnight or there is 10ft of snow on the ground then a gate really doesn’t matter (and legally doesn’t matter). 4x4 clubs have been volunteering and handing out maps for 20 yrs showing winter closures and we still get people arguing saying “I’ve been going through there over snow for 30yrs and never had an issue”
Old Volvos (pre early 60’s) had a radiator shutter cable operated from the dash. Very convenient for those cold Swedish mornings… But an old cardboard box is just as effective 😁
Some of the 24 inch soft shackles might be a good idea on jobs like this to get the hooks away from the bumper. They seem to come in handy for multiple applications too.
Great video, you make them,we will watch them all, thumbs 👍 up
Casey "I never said I was good at this" : Grumpy "you're good at this" 😁
On another channel I mentioned I had to put a piece of cardboard from the Subway dumpster between the grill and radiator on a 1980 IHC cabover one winter because the truck couldn't get up to operating temperature.
Sounds like Grumpy is around my age. Old enough to know better yet too young to resist!
You guys made this guys holidays bright 🌞 ✨️ Great job 👏
really do like your videos with Grumpy, my wife calls me grumpy so if original grumpy needs a break I'll come along on your adventures
Better office, yes southern Utah in the winter. Your area in the summer.
30 some years ago... I learned to make sure that I have certain tools/equipment with me while driving in the winter. You NEVER know When things are going to go sideways. Expect the unexpected... Plan for the "What if?"...
I always had that heating problem with my old ford Ranger. The 2.3 would never get warm in the wintertime. I would put a trash bag and cardboard in front of the radiator and that was good until it was about 40 degrees outside, then it would start to warm up without it.
Wow, Grumpy brought his A-game of zingers and burns right from the first! To us old guys, dust farts are no joking matter Casey! 😂 What a fun video! 👍🇨🇦
Good morning Casey . From , Mill City
It was not me! Hello Casey!!
Casey I’ve got a soft spot for the bricknose generation Fords as I have a bricknose Bronco that’s very sentimental to me and seeing such a clean wrecker be in your hands makes me happy. You seem like the right kind of person to take care of that truck. Always love your videos but I think that every time I see the old Ford
I used the cardboard in front of the radiator in the winter and I removed the radiator fan all year round. One spring I forgot about the cardboard and had a little trouble on a trip from Oregon to Montana and back. It was not a problem until the ambient temperature was around 100 F.
GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS!!
Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
Awesome, really enjoying your videos.
That’s how you make a old Jeep heater work also. Then you have a warm day and forget about the cardboard and your Jeep overheats.
I love grumpy. You two are hilarious 😂.
Hey Casey, watch out Grumpy will have your job soon, Great job you 2
Nice recovery Casey!! Tell Grumpy I said "Hi" 😁
Man it’s seems like these newer trucks break down awful easy… I remember back in the 70’s I had 3 different Jeep cj5’s …and one 77 Chevy Scottsdale 4x4 ..and I never broke anything like these newer trucks and jeeps do…thanks buddy…
Thanks for the video
