Dude, I'm glad you're not skipping the fillers. They're actually really funny to watch. I'm looking forward to continue the dragon ball journey with you, we're now entering my favorite saga which is the Red Ribbon arc.

This is why DB filler is legendary. It adds to the sense of adventure. Id say also do kai after gt. Do og Z to experience how we all grew up with it.

I never felt like Goku was dumb in og or Z (Super tho they give him an extra chromosme). He's just very inexperienced with modern humanity. When it comes to fighting or living in the woods my man is a genius. It's just that he grew up away from society and most of his childhood away from people (except Grandpa Gohan). In Z I think it might feel that way because you didn't know he lived in the woods lol

As a 90's kid I could remember a time where kids of my generation still wore bell bottoms, still had the snap on bracelets, still had cassettes and vinyl. Man... what a great era to be a kid. Toonami thank you for introducing me to dragon ball and DBZ The red ribbon army saga is one of my TOP favorite parts of Dragon ball.

Brago, after you finish Dragon Ball, go back and watch the part in Buu saga when Goku does the spirit bomb. You are gonna see a lot of familiar faces from Dragon Ball helping him. It gonna hit so much harder.

In france we had dragon ball on tv as early as 1987. It is strange how you look at 1980ies because I used to watch anime from the 70ies and they did not look off to me, we great 70ies anime such as Goldorak, captain flame, Cobra, les cités d'or...

Yeah there’s a lot of that in the Dub, for example even though Roshi is still on coomer mode x100 here in the English Dub… he’s on coomer mode x10,000 in the original Japanese Dub. It’s seems like 80-90% of lines you hear here in the Eng. dub where Roshi’s NOT being a creep, he still is in the original/Jap. dub. Just in general overall, even when he does say some sxxual things here in the Eng.Dub, it’s usually still 10x worse in the Japanese dub….

Dragon Ball Super made Goku a bumbling idiot. Dragon Ball Z shows Goku's maturity and growth as a character.

Dragonball super is when Goku starts to be obnoxiously stupid for some reason. I mean he’s never been the smartest guy but he wasn’t as bad as they made him in super.

I would say watch Kai, original Z is way too slow and takes forever to get things going. The dub for the original Z is also pretty bad as it strays really far from the original Japanese dialogue and can often gives scenes completely different meanings. Kai however, is re-dubbed entirely, with the English voice cast at their peak of voice acting ability after getting a lot more experience since original Z. The dialogue in Kai is also much more accurate to what Toriyama actually meant his characters to be saying. I can understand people being attached to Orignal Z for nostalgia reasons, but personally I think Kai is far and away the superior way to watch Dragon Ball Z.

Depends on which version of z. The remastered with the better music is greater than kai. Its has Vegeta theme music. Ssj3 music. I can go on. Just kai feels to short. I like filler in shows.

@@blackheart4360 yea I totally get it, I know a lot of people are really fond of Falkner’s theme songs and want those to still be in there. Since Brago said he watched Z as a kid he may want to go that route. I never grew up with Dragon Ball, so I don’t have any attachment to those songs or anything else so for me Kai was a much cleaner experience. I don’t mind filler but I personally enjoy watching the anime in the way that Toriyama originally envisioned his manga series, so no filler. But that’s just me
