That's the exact reason why hikaru is better than Magnus in bullet, he can spot crazy tactics and keep his cool with 10 secs in the clock while magnus reached a great position most of the games but Naka did much better with few seconds in the clock

I always say that Hikaru is the bullet chess king but we gotta give credit to Magnus for delivering an insane performance for the first time playing bullet chess championship and congrats Hikaru 🎉🎉🎉

The thing that blows me away about Hikaru, in addition to his instantaneous, accurate tactics, is that he can do that while he is talking to us about what he is thinking. Just an amazing ability to multitask while performing at a super high level.

"Finally"? How have they not paid off in the past? I'm not trying to mock or attack you, I'm sincerely asking. I only started following Hikaru in the last 3 or 4 months. What has changed recently that he wasn't accomplishing previously? Hasn't he been rank 2 and won a bunch of tournaments before? I know he's won Norway Chess, Chessable Masters, Fischer Random, and now this. Is that a higher rate of success than he has historically had?

I think Hikaru is one of the greatest chess players to be able to share is POV progress, at the same timeline that Magnus, which is with no doubt the GOAT. What a great time to be alive.

I wasnt counting, but i feel like there were way more draws in this match than any other. The other matches seemed to have mostly decisive games, but this had loads of draws. Just shows how close it was between them and what a tough match it was.
