Dr. Ali Ataie examines the role of Jesus, son of Mary (peace and blessings be upon him), in the Bible and Christian theology and contrasts with his role in the Qur’an and Islamic theology.

This Interfaith talk was delivered at the Muslim Community Center - East Bay (MCC East Bay) in Pleasanton, California on Sunday, November 19, 2023.
Ustadh Dr. Ali Ataie is a perennial student and researcher involved in interfaith activities for over two decades. He holds a Master’s in Biblical studies focusing on New Testament and Biblical languages. He also has a Ph.D. in cultural and historical studies in religion from the Graduate Theological Union. His doctoral work focused on Muslim hermeneutics of Biblical texts, especially the Gospel of John. He lives in San Ramon, CA, with his wife Roya and three daughters.

MashaAllah, Dr. -thank you for this clarification. I often wondered why the Zionists don’t believe in the teachings or practices of Jesus/Isa Ibn Maryam….. May peace and blessings be upon him and his family. “The way to turn to God…through Repentance” (SubhanAllah).

Muslim are closer to the jews more than christians and muslims are more closer to christians more than the jew, someone tell me how!! nevertheless they are both alied against mulims

A great question was on my mind and I hope we know the answer. I think there are many reasons, one of them is that they have been living together for a long time and you know that they are very tolerant with their religions.

The answer is simple my friend; Once you start following your whims and desire And worshipping anything or anyone instead of Allah, the One true God You're basically worshipping satan Surat Mariam - Ayah 44 "O my father, do not worship Ash-Shaytan; (The ever-vicious, i.e., the Devil) surely Ash-Shaytan has been most disobedient to The All-Merciful." That's what our Prophet Abraham (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his pagan father Although he wasn't worshipping satan directly, but once you steer away from the truth, you're one of the misguided ones And that's why they're allies I hope my answer satisfies your query
