How did you start your reversion?

I believe all the Prophets from Adam A.S., to Muhammad SAW. I Believe the books that Allah SWT send us through our messengers and the holy Quran. In my eyes, Islam is the last and the finest religion in this life time. Allah is the one.

As a Christian revert I found this speech very very informative and Spot on. I definitely follow in the footsteps of Islamic Jesus AS and not Christian Jesus AS. In shaAllah this is the correct path. Jesus tells the followers that there will be people from the kingdom of God who approach him and he will say to them go away I never knew you. They say to Jesus but we did miraculous works in your name, we cast out demons in your name.. I don't understand why christians ignore Jesus denying his followers when they try to put the power of divinity on him. Why do you call me good he would say. There is no one who is perfect but my father in heaven. He tells them specifically that he did not come to destroy the law but to uphold it to the utmost degree. If that is true that's true then God makes it very clear that he is one and only and that you should not worship anything else but worship anything else but him alone. Do not make wooden stone or graven images in his likeness. You will miss the mark and you will have strayed far from the straight path that all of the prophets and messengers brought to the table including Jesus himself. And that is, to worship God alone with no partners.

Jesus and Isa(PBUH) are one person. The teachings and actions are the same. PS: Jesus did NOT claim equality with God, it is a theology that concocted the trinity. Do as Jesus in the bible did. Do as Isa in the Quran did.

Unfortunately, it's as if someone has given you the worse news and not the good news about your beloved Jesus "Yeshua". You're offended when in actuality you need to be rejoicing and looking forwards to know and confirm the good news about your beloved Jesus. Of course you don't, because the Jesus is a prophet (the proof is overwhelming upon reading the Gospel, he's even called a slave because that's what creation is a slave.) And there are deafs and it is really hard for these people to understand fully what the speaaker means. Therefore , in order to gain the constent of the Allah subhana ve taala , it is quite a good job to convey the message of the quran or to be understood by more people. The verse that speaks about Christ peace be upon him is this verse : 19.33] Peace be upon me on the day I was born, and on the day I die; and on the day when I shall be raised up alive. I was raised in the Christian faith. I love this young man! His talk was SO enlightening! I just have a question. I believe he is saying that Islam teaches the same things about Jesus as many Christians believe. He quotes passages from the Christian Bible, the New Testament. And he quotes them correctly. My question is, Why does Islam agree with the New Testament scripture up until it speaks of Jesus willingly going to the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of the world? I am not arguing whether THAT happened or not, but just wondering why Islam teaches those same things about Jesus, but stops at the point where the New Testament Gospels continue on to say that Jesus was saying that he would be going to the cross as a sacrifice for us, and also that he would be raised from the dead by God, three days later. Please help me understand. Thank you..I think Islam's teaching about him seems more logical, but I am after the truth. I am open minded enough to hear both sides. Thank you..

@Aysha Qazi I thank you for responding 🙂 I guess what I still struggle with is how do we KNOW if the Quran's teaching on Jesus is correct or if the New Testament teaching is correct. The Shroud of Turin seems to support the New Testament version of Jesus dying on the cross since the imprint on the Shroud, is of a crucified man who had a crown of thorns on his head, wounds in his hands (wrists) and feet, and spear wound in his side. The Shroud image has been proven to not being an image painted on, but was made by ultraviolet light that cannot be replicated. This would seem to suggest a resurrection of the buried man who's image was left on the cloth. How else can this image be explained?

As usual, another extremely informative and positive lecture. JazakAllahu khayr. Just one thing I felt, was that it would be nice if muslim scholars’ names weren’t mentioned as if we knew about them already. It made the actual statement confusing because one gets stuck on the opening line which was their name. Sometimes a hadith was mentioned, and since the lecture is meant for different communities, the difference between that and the scholar’s opinion isn’t always clear, and as to what could be considered more authentic. Maybe if in passing, it could be said, “according to the Prophet pbuh’s hadith, or as ....., a muslim scholar wrote,....”

PS it was an amazing lecture very intellectual speaker subhanallah mashallah as usual may Allah bless and reward you and a very lecture amen

Fellow muslims please recite the following to earn endless rewards: *"SUBHAN-ALLAHI WA BIHAMDIHI, SUBHANALLAHIL AZHIM"* The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: `Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azhim' [Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection)’.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. `Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi (Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise)’ one hundred times a day, his sins will be obliterated even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the ocean.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

​@@retroman8618actually the Quran is the authority above Torah and Gospel and an overseer of them. So Quran is more reliable and corrects the mistakes in previous scriptures. All scriptures comes from the same source, Allah

Masha'Allah wonderful presentation. Just to note, the temple had not yet been destroyed by the Romans by the time of Herod. The destruction of the Second Temple took place around 40 years after the departure of Jesus (as). But point still relevant, that all of that political context, both before and after Jesus (as), dramatically shapes his life and mission.

إِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلائِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِنْهُ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيهًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ. وَيُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا وَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ. Quraan 3:45-46. (Remember) when the Angels said: "O Maryam! Verily, Allaah gives you the glad tidings of a Word from Him, his NAME will be AL-MASSEEHU EESSA IBNU MARYAM, held in honor in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are brought to a vicinity of Allaah." He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and will be of the righteous."

Assalamu Alikum Bros and Sis'!!! Dr. Suleiman discussed a documentary about Christ from the BBC in this lecture. There are quite a few BBC segments regarding Christ, as I have searched and found. I was wondering if someone knows which specific one he was referring to? Jazak Allah Khair for this segment about Isa, Dr. Suleiman. Allah SWT really gave us a precious gift in your understanding, teaching, patience, love for Islam, and so many other good things. You truly are a very great gift to us from Allah SWT. Alhamdulillah. I pray that more people come to know you and find Islam as a part of your continuous effort to educate the world about the beauty and benefits of Islam, both in the Dunya and then the Achira, Ameen.

I'm Christian and thanks for your nice presentation Peter endorsed Paul, he said Paul is unconventional (in presentation). So he overrode the impression that Paul was a stray, or crooked Edit: no I was wrong, he said Paul was not understood by those who were unlearned, as they with the other scriptures... sorry

"Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him" (Psalm 2)

this is psalm 2:12, if you read the original text, "Yearn for Purity, lest He be angry and your-way will perish when suddenly His-wrath will kindle. Happy [are] all who take refuge in-Him" (נַשְּׁקוּ בַ֡ר פֶּן יֶאֱנַ֚ף וְתֹ֬אבְדוּ דֶ֗רֶךְ כִּֽי יִבְעַ֣ר כִּמְעַ֣ט אַפּ֑וֹ אַ֜שְׁרֵ֗י כָּל ח֥וֹסֵי בֽוֹ). there is no someone son involved in this texts.

How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?” (John 6) The difficulty in viewing Christology as the product of textual errors is that such a position requires revision of the scriptures in their entirety. Simple modification of individual proof texts would not suffice for such an undertaking, as Christ is the central theme of all scripture. One needs to completely discard scripture to delete Christ from the testimony of the ancients. The Quran is an example of such a project. "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, Jesus expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself" (Luke 24)

Isa AS did show his might and strength and he did use power and force when he entered the temple and threw the gold collector's money back into the streets he grabbed a staff and began to pummel people to run them out of the main area in that temple.

He describes christianity and Judaism better then them

Excuse me, but Allah is all powerful he doesnt need to shed blood in order to save people. Why would god need to shed blood when he is all powerful. Sheding blood is for humans not for a all powerfull being like Allah.
