Not because I'm Filipino but I've traveled abroad too. Christmas in the Philippines is fun and really celebrated in the true sense of the word. The decorations are over the top.

It is thru your eyes that we get to see the different parts of the Philippines that we don’t get to see especially on Christmas time and you also help ease our homesickness for those living in another country. Hi Michael! Its actually pronounced as " mall + yeah" if that makes it easier hehe. It mean "dock" in Spanish. So Meulle Deli would translate to "The Dock Deli" in English

You get my subscribe for playing that classical music at 14:10. I love it, and have never heard it from a vblogger. but I might have expected it in music-loving Philippines. I grew up listening to my Dad's records.

Filipinos will take advantage of the chance of merriment at any given time. Festivals, Christmas, religious events, concerts...they would bring out their best to participate in the spirit of camaraderie and for their own personal enjoyment as well. Bracing for the next disaster or calamity to come, this is how we tend to dismiss/forget how broken we have been. This is a way to show/practice resiliency.

Christmas lights and decorations in most parts of the country are spectacular but more than that the attitude and the anticipation that people have about the holidays are very pronounced and punctuated with food, music, church, family, friends, gift giving, lantern parades, fireworks and fire crackers. Iloilo has developed so much since the last time I was there as a child.

Better not miss the early morning Dinagyang Pamukaw on the 16th. It'll be the start of the drum banging together with all tribes competing on the next month's Dinagyang.

Iloilo City and it's people were similar with people living in Metro Manila. They mind their own business and they dress so well like Metro Manilans and not so found of attention from the camera but they will response and friendly as well when you approach them, with demeanor and good looking too.

Next time sir visit to Vigan City.... Many place to visit and the food so good.....

We were in Cambodia and it's true the cranes were all over thousands of them. But the fifferen we found is every single construction site was a Chinese company with flown in Chinese construction workers doing all the work. None of this benefitted the people of Cambodia sadly. Also the traffic, road rules, how clean the cities were, infrastructure were not close to what we see here yet. Cambodia is a smaller country so it should be very fat transformation tthough

Once people are here they generally are in real-life community, not really an online community anymore. Most cities like Iloilo have expat meet ups either weekly or bi-weekly. Where are you planning to move to?
