One of the Engineer's achievements is to go head to head with a Ratling Gunner and i found out the "instant stormtrooper mode" doing that challenge, it was not fun wasting half my ability bar trying to shoot the guy.

@@ChaosLemonVIII I have no idea why but Grail Knights are the single career where I have encountered the worst trash-talking, team-mate blaming, arrogant shitters who overestimate their abilities. Ofc this isn't most GKs but it's still been noticeable for me.

If you run with bots, warp fire throwers and globadiers are high priority. They’re obsessed with charging at the fire rat (with their ranged weapon out no less) even though it’s knocking them back, and they’re drawn to gas like it’s crack cocaine

I would put ratling gunner in the same category as gasrat and blightstormer for very similar reason - his danger level is completely situational, but inverted compared to the other two - he's dangerous in the open, but harmless if you have any kind of cover close by. In fact, i would put him even lower, because globadier and windsorc force you to move around instead of actually fighting stuff. With gunrat, on the other hand, you just make a single step behind a wagon - and watch as he shreds your enemies for you. You can even pop out of cover on purpose, just to trigger him into another barrage, and hide back again. Also about the standard bearer - i'd say his priority should be higher if he has not put the flag down yet, and lower if he already has.

@@danielw.8356 Nope, not even close. 1 bullet in Cata takes away exactly 3 pts of health - provided you don't even have any damage reduction, like barkskin.

I've seen several of your videos now and thank you so much for putting them together. As a new player to Vermintide 2, these are invaluable. Great information!

Solid advice and well put together :). If I may, from experience, Warpfire Throwers can be quite dangerous on narrow ledges or when in pair. In these case, I tend to delete them asap as they can easily push your team to its doom.

In my experience, a general rule for target priority is whichever enemy is closest and is about to deal the most damage or disable a player or pkayers the quickest. Meaning standards and warpfire throwers can be more dangerous than assassins depending on where the team is standing when they attack

One thing you left out is enemy position. It's often better to kill the clanrat coming from behind than the stormvermin in the front. even as a slayer with greataxe

I apply the same kill list in most of my games : 1. Kill what you are able to kill 2. Kill what is killing you or your friends 3. Kill the most powerful enemy asset Mind you those are not mutually exclusive, it's about achieving a balance. If your about to die you need to do your best to avoid that. If your friend is about to die but you can sweep clean 50% of the enemy force and continue the mission, you need to evaluate if it's worth it.

i put blightstormer and leech / gutter runner top priority then fire + gas / packmaster

Great guide, thanks for the disclaimer about how it all varies based on your career/weapons/build/location. Always be mindful of everything else around you.

I mean as you said in the video it all depends on the situation so at most you can give guidelines to follow and as such I pretty much agree with most of this stuff. A good rule of thumb is that specials need to be taken care of asap. All of them. Some are more threatening than others but generally any special is more likely to kill a good player than any elite or even a group of elites. Kiting a full cata chaos or sv patrol isn't really that tricky but just one special can really ruin your day. Another rule of thumb is if you can contribute to special kills, you should always look to do that. This means if you have even halfway decent ranged damage, kill them on sight if you have an opening. And actually I'd go even further than this to say even on slayer or gk or similar you should still look for the specials and tag them for your team in many situations. One thing I disagree with is the shields. Shields themselves arent the problem, the problem is you can't get your hits through to the actually dangerous enemies. So while yes shields in sv patrols are not what will kill you directly, they very well might be the main cause of your death cuz you end up taking a hit or hits that you wouldn't had the shield not been there. So if you have bombs, aim for the shields, if you have other stuff that go through them, aim for them. The normal sv are easy to deal with when no shields protect them.

I remember playing mercenary and i was being a single man horde clearer during a boss fight to stop enemies from getting to my team and i got told off for it lmao. The hell is a mercenary gonna do compared to what it can do to a horde? I feel its way better to be used as a one man horde clearer and let the zealot (the one who told me off) and the rest of my team deal with the troll

Well Kerillian's new class allows you to change this list on the fly, since the staff can effectively disable enemies entirely and leave them to be dealt with later

Idk, Chaos Warriors are tall mofos, their head hitbox is kinda hard to hit too. I think they're still a big enough threat

I find elves killing off the ratling gunners too soon Because a rattling gunner is a good horde clear So I recommend always take care when you fire at a rattling because you may just open your selves up to be overrun by slave rats in the lake

idk i feel like blightstormer should be red level because they can separate your team which can result to overrun

I feel like kerillian is probably one of the best characters for special killing or when some one gets disabled, her ult saves team mates instantly from any special but not enough people use it for that. If my team mates gets disabled and I have my ult I do it no questions asked, while I've seen others just walk up and slash at the disabler
