I'm still waiting for vids with "how to solo a boss with simultaneous horde and a couple of specials". This usual scenario with the guy spawning the lone boss in a controlled environment just doesn't cut it.

If you're in a situation with a horde/specials and boss then you should be going for a rez of your team, not trying to solo it all by yourself. This video is to showcase how to fight a boss if you're able to kill a boss by yourself because he's been brought to low health by your team before they die or if you're a boss killer and can nuke it pretty quickly. Yes, you will rarely be fighting just a boss and nothing else but you should in turn rarely be fighting a boss completely by yourself from its spawn to its death.

jtc is right here. Your priority is to res a team-mate but if you absolutely have to solo a boss hordes and specials your priority is: Special - 1. Assassin - fast need to snipe these quickly, they can jump through other enemies so have max priority. 2. Pack Master - kill after dodge or shoot after dodging the boss, they take a while to reach you but can run through a horde as well being almost invisible whilst mixed in. 3. Leech - Easy to dodge but due to incap capability is a priority. 4. Horde - Kill any stray horde members and whittle down before facing the boss, these will chip you down when you think the boss is your priority. Special - 5. Flame Rat - can knock you around but may help you gain distance from the boss so if you have hp can be helpful. 6. Gun Rat - if at range no risk, if close you can dodge to other side of horde to block fire and help clear. 7. Blightstormer - can help in keeping the horde off you so low priority unless you are in a small area. Boss - 8. Due to size and speed, bosses attacks are telegraphed and easy to spot above a horde, you can see them coming in from afar so dodging and keeping mobile from them is something you can do whilst dealing with the rest. ps. To pull all of this off is hard beyond belief, but on the odd occasion the game might be nice and stop spawning specials on you after you kill the first 3 or so. In some cases it continues to spam specials despite there being everything chasing you already. I've survived a rat ogre in this situation twice and a troll a few times. Stormfiends are a pain to do all this with, especially since they made their flame attacks area denial so much more powerful. Minotaur I'd just exit the lobby as it spawns mainly due to it's charge, dodging that and the horde is impossible.

Let’s be honest, most of us are here for the blessed sights of Salty making a Chaos-Spawn & Minotaur his bitches.

Awesome video. Only critique on the editing is the abruptness of the scene transitions. Maybe experiment with different wipes and fade transitions until you find something you like. You could also have a title card between the sections with the bosses name or picture as well.

Funnily enough I find the Chaos Spawn the easiest to control because his overheads are slower than the rat ogre but moves faster on startup, so he's always within my reach for am attack if I step back too far.

Thanks for the nice basics to add to the kit. :) Even if this ideal is rare, its still important to have because it indirectly comes up a lot as 'okay I'm the guy with the monster while my team is handling ahorde/specials/patrol/etc'

Great video. I'd like to see a guide on how to manage elites when they mingle in the horde, or when a patroll is pulled with a horde charge. Sometimes is nearly impossible to deal with them properly if you don't have a piercing or armor ignoring weapon.

How to solo monsters. The best weapon i've learned is gravity

Step 1: play shade with high crit damage gear Step 2: use infiltrate Step 3: backstab the everliving hell out of the boss Step 4: profit

While this is a neat guide, there is one major reason to why I'll never be able to pull this off even in a 'boss only, no extras' situation. Ever so often, the game decides to completely ignore the fact that I either blocked/parried, dodged or held block while dodging and gives me the entire damage whatsoever. And since I'm mostly on Legend, getting the double-fisted overhead of a rat ogre (apparently undefended) in your face results in your knees kissing the ground and a cheerfull OOWWW! Has also happend to me watching a Chaos Warrior happily jamming his Axe into the ground 15 ft. next to me while holding block, then finding myself downed by that same happy swing. (All of this in a private game without other people and me being the host mind you)

If youre in an enclosed space, have multiple teammates AND have aggro of the mino, you can just block and huddle by its legs, when it gets close enough, it wont be able to hit you and your team can take care of it

i find the bile troll to be easyier then the rat ogre.

Would have been more helpful if you played a different character as the rapier and WHC are pretty easy to solo monsters with. I’d like to see a guide for this done with the Outcast engineer, or warrior priest, or slayer.

The actual answer to "How to solo every monster" is just play saltzpyre, very easy then.

Wdym? You can do this on any class. Some are easier ofc but whc isn't the easiest. Even on great hammer IB you can dodge dance and get attacks in and higher hp pool, dmg reduction ult and gromril help greatly to make up for the low mobility.

"seemingly formidable opponents" thanks for the "seemingly", because in Warhammer these creatures are just a bit better than cannon fodder.

How do you use the creature spawner to practice against the boss and nothing else? The mod framework menu only gives me options to enable or disable all AI in the mission

Its a mod called spawn tweaks steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1393694530&searchtext=spawn+tweaks It allows you to tweak spawns in games to get a desired spawn list, as well as allows you to fully disable all enemy spawns in a game.

Also you can just do it on fortunes of war but don't start the event.

I feel like I cant even use the things I saw on this vid. Doing any of this, I might lock the boss but I bet the other 3 people will go for the boss instead of the mobs as everyone wants to be the killer of the boss.

Sometimes the light in the finale of RS breaks and looks like that. It happens much more often on lower light settings but it can still sometimes happen at higher ones.

Thanks. I just got the winds of magic dlc so the tips to fight the minotaur were incredibly useful. And fuck the chaos spawn it can burn in hell

You're throwing heavy attacks so fast, is there a way to throw an uncharged heavy without holding then quickly releasing left click ? Like a button ? Because I don't understand how it is possible to attack so fast.

There is probably a couple of things at play here: -I have attack speed and swift slaying stacked on my rapier. Since WHC is a high crit class I have swift slaying up more often than not, and with increased attack speed your heavy attacks wind up faster and you can therefore let them go faster -Rapier is naturally a fast weapon so heavy attacks charge slightly faster with it (Not if you go for the true heavy attack with it tho) -I have almost 2k hours in the game so heavy attacking is pure muscle memory for me and I'm basically finger rolling the attacks perfectly

On Legend above, the one I found particularly annoying are Blightstormers. I dunno, but on higher difficulties they cast hella far and spawn in a complete blindspot.

btw is it just me or are those movies... kinda silent? I watch them while playing. My ingame sound is down to 25% while youtube is at max, yet I can barely hear the voice as soon as one enemy (not even a horde) appears

its all fun and games untill the boss got backup with gutter runner & ratling gun and one of your teammate on God knows where asking for a revive...

all the other bosses are easy except the minotaur

Yeah, Mino is basically the Devs saying "Fuck you" for complaining about their easier bosses.
