Years ago I studied this and I remember doing a search on all the references in the Old Testament for the phrase "sons of God". As I recall there were half a dozen or so. The most famous one perhaps is in the book of Job. God called an angel meeting and the sons of God showed up, including Satan and God asked him what he had been up to. These sons of God were spiritual beings, not humans. As I recall, the other references to 'sons of God" also seemed to refer to angels and not humans. I think the 'sons of God' in Genesis 6 were spiritual beings, not humans.

Job 1:6 refers to Job 1:4-5. Son's of God refers to creation who is right with God at the time. No where does the Son's of God refer to anything acting contrary to the will of God.

@@spitflamez That is correct. Lucifer wasn't fallen when God made the earth. Job 1:6 refers to Job and his sons in verses 4-5. Just like Jesus told the Pharisees they were son's of the devil. Was it spiritually speaking or physically? In Hebrews God says Which angel did I say you are my son? So scripture doesn't conflict with scripture. Job 1 references Man. Later God referring to Angels. The point being. Son's of God is not always referring to Angels. Further more if you study the line of Ham you will see giants and men of great renown. Who built the tower of Babel? Which lineage does he descend from?

I always imagined that the nephilim weren’t actually “giants” like how we think of giants today. They were probably just abnormally tall men, like 7 or 8 feet tall, with greater physical strength and capability than regular people because they were half angel. Like they were basically just super-humans.

If demons were allowed to have flesh and bone bodies with sex organs they wouldn’t “take wives for marriage” they would rape every man, women, and especially child that they could. This is actually a very simple one due to the fact that there was a discovery of an old manuscript called the dead sea scrolls and in those books were books of the Bible, also other books (Enoch) that explain what it meant to say when it was talking about Nephilim... there was a reason why God preserved these. To know the truth. Now the difference here is whether you are a believer or not.

In the Bible, as Big Daddy mentioned, there were references of those books. For example, the Book of Enoch. Even the Apostles and Jesus talked about them. Back then it was common knowledge. Just like now talking about cars, elevators, skyscrapers and airplanes. EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS STUFF. So was then, with some ancient events that had taken place. EVERYBODY KNEW THAT STUFF! Of course, After the masonic leaders decided to wipe out all the knowledge of the existence of the Nephilim and their fathers, Sons of God, the books were deemed "bad" or "non-canonical" or sometimes even prohibited for the public. This way, during the ages of Roman Empire, many books were burned, and a lot were delivered to the authorities for destruction ( fire). And the knowledge was "hidden" and gone underground, as a treasure to keep for the future generations. The Nag Hammadi scrolls were a different occasion: The local collector of this case, took an arms reach of papyrs and rushed to hide them from the Romans coming to search for such papers. In the Gheg dialect of the Albanian language Nephilim means "in the beginning". It is often used when referencing a story and being told to start from the beginning.

I have done my own Giants study. Using the Bible alone, I have discovered that there are 4 categories for the term giant. I have also made other discoveries, such as a second group of fallen angels and that Goliath was not a true giant. Very interesting study. I have also looked to the Dead Sea Scrolls, Josephus, the Septuagint and even a bit of the Book of Enoch, but have used the Bible as my main source.

I want to be right and draw the right conclusion based on the evidence found. Then the other part of that is I just want to talk with someone else who is willing to explore what many simply take for granted. Best wishes!

So my thinking is that the Nephilim were the fallen angels, literally translated, and they’re offspring were the rephaim, which translates to giant ones. Of course, I’d have to take a look at the original text to see if the two terms were used interchangeably or not, just my thought. While my opinion on the topic differs from that of the speaker, I DO agree with his statement that we can’t let these topics distract from the message God’s word has for us.

It is stunning that you can make a rational translation based on the meaning for the word "Nephilim" in Albanian language: "Ne" = "In" + "philim" = "beginning" ....... It's not the only word that has meaning in Albanian. Bereshit for example, the Genesis is "beresit" in modern Albanian which means the making, the creating. It's incredible linguists do not touch on this subject.

@@arold4928 I think it has to do with ancient Pelasgians that moved from Albania to Palestine during the end of the bronze age with what were called The Sea Peoples. One of these peoples were called Pelesh, or what we now days call Philistines. All archeological findings show they were originally from what is now Greece and Albania. There is still an area in Albania today called Palas. it's by the Ion sea.

The book of Genesis was not written in the Albanian language. Rather, it was written in proto-Hebrew. The term is from the root naphil ("fallen" or "cast down") and the "im" is merely the plural rendering. Thus, "nephilim" means "fallen ones" (i.e., plural). It is possible that Albanian borrowed proto-Hebrew (but not vice versa) -- as the Albanian language didn't exist until as late as the 13th Century (long after the time frame for which the Christian faith and its Hebrew roots became the dominant faith of the region and influenced language). The word "nephilim" has no root meaning "beginning."

Could "giants" be just figurative? They were also called "men of renown" so not giant in stature but maybe in physical strength and things they did like Hercules.

It's a non canonical book that was never in the bible. The entire New Testament canon was 'compiled' by the apostle John around 100 AD.

So in the end. God condemned their souls to remain on the earth and they will be called evil spirits by man. So an evil spirit is actually the disembodied souls of the nephilem who torment man through possession. Take into account that the term "sons of God" was used only in one other place and that was in Job 1:6. and this does not seem like they are referring to line of Cain.

Hmm. I think you're misreading it. This passage is talking about three separate groups of beings: 1. The Nephilim-fallen angels, including Lucifer, who were cast from heaven. 2. The Sons of God-those Angels, led by Michael, who defeated Lucifer and his followers, and cast them from heaven. 3. The offspring of Angels and human women-heroes and warriors of great renown. The way this passage reads, the Nephilim (fallen angels) were on Earth before the Sons of God (Angels) arrived. The battle in heaven took place sometime during creation, and the Nephilim were forced to earth, along with Lucifer, who took on the form of a great serpent in the Garden of Eden. As you point out, the term Nephilim is sometimes translated as giant, which suggests the other fallen ones followed Lucifer's example and took on a variety of monstrous forms after being banished to earth. Perhaps the Sons of God were permitted to come to earth and mingle with human kind, because like all of God's creatures, they too had free will, and also because their powerful offspring were needed to contend against the destructive nature of the Nephilim. Perhaps this Gambit was successful for a while, but eventually many of those of the lineage of Angels and men succumbed to wickedness, perhaps in part due to tremendous power their divine heritage afforded them, and God purged the Earth in a great deluge. Moses, who was the only good man left, was spared, along with his family.

This is the fourth video I’ve watched trying get info on what Nephilim are. There's tons of videos on KZread. Also... the Bible is an excellent source.... referring to the Book of Genesis in general that tells us how the giants came to be. Also a great reference is the Book of Enoch. And there's so much more in THAT book!! It will be like taking the red pill!! If you REALLY want to know the truth...

Are you all blind? it clearly says Sons of god breed with human women and bore children, (the mighty ones of old, men of name) Nephilim where already there and after the breeding began between sons of god and human women. Wrong. Nowhere does it say that the Nephilim were around earth before the sons of God. Nor does it ever state that the sons of God fought the Nephilim. "Now the giants were upon the earth in those days; and after that when the sons of God were wont to go in to the daughters of men, they bore [children to them, those were the giants of old, the men of renown." I have read the book of Enoch, the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Septuagint and quite a few Hebrew/Greek to English Bibles and all the above agree that you are full of it.

So.... we are just gonna end on the cliff hanger like that ?

Basically the truth is this. The sons of God were from the line of Set and the daughters of men were from Cain. The reason there is a genealogy for both lines in the previous chapters is to show this point. Why would holy angels, notice holy, come down to earth and pervert mankind? They are holy and if they did that God would disown them. Remember when Jesus said if someone puts a stumbling block and someone fell that the consequence would be worse than if they were not to be born? If you read the verses in Genesis 6, there were giants prior to and after the intermixing of these races. The intermixing did NOT produce these giants. These men of renown were worldly men that men followed, for example Nimrod was one after the flood. If you got anymore questions, reply to me.

Even using Numbers 14:6-9 Caleb and Joshua were among those that spied on the land. They gave a good report saying the land flowed with milk and honey. Caleb and Joshua said NOTHING about Giants (Nephilim). God spared Caleb and Joshua, they were not struck down by a plaque. The spies that told an evil report were telling a lie and did not want to go into the land. Most people do not realize or take notice to Numbers 14. Interesting when most people use Numbers 13: 33 for this angel view for the Giants (Nephilim) and looked like grasshoppers are falling into the faults of the report the spies told. @@harveywabbit9541 Yes the bible did copy from other myths, especially the Zoroastrians. But Judea comes from the Hebrew word Yehuda, which means "praise". Jupiter is from the Latin Iuppiter, which comes from the Aryan-Indian " Dyeu-pater" so no on both counts.

Cheers for giving a correct understanding of the Sons of Adam and daughters of 'men' (Cain) option. Mostly when people don't like an option they slant it not allowing its proper bearing but you did so cheers.

Would this mean that the daughters of Seth were not fair, not beautiful? That Seth's daughters were ugly? When we forget the Lord of hosts from the beginning. We could fall before any great religions. For they think there's some kind of Gods. For then they are giants to us, that forgets. Reviewing the account, we see that verses 1 to 3 tell of “the sons of the true God” taking wives and of Jehovah’s statement that he was going to end his patience with men after 120 years. Verse 4 then speaks of the Nephilim proving to be in the earth “in those days,” evidently the days when Jehovah made the statement. Then it shows that this situation continued “after that, when the sons of the true God continued to have relations with the daughters of men,” and describes in more detail the results of the union of “the sons of the true God” with women.

So, apparently, God creates Adam, and later Eve, and they have 2 sons, called Cain and Abel. At this moment, there are only 4 humans on this planet, according to the bible. Cain kills Abel, which then leaves only 3 humans on the planet. Cain wanders off to some other place, and somehow manages to find a female. Where did that female come from?

You just said the story of the Adamites, occurred 6000 years ago. Adamites were privileged and more cultured earthlings made by the Elohim purposely to guard and work the "ganeden" (fenced garden located in Eden). They were pure, with genetic inheritance coming straight from the Elohim. Adamites weren't suppose to procreate offsprings, they could have been made whenever required by Elohim, under control. By the way, the long lasting life expectance of first patriarchs was heritage of this situation. So, Adamites enjoyed their time inside the ganeden, until a day, when another Elohim co-operating in the ganeden showed them what's inside the rabbit hole, giving them too much information and awareness. Calculated indiscretion, unaware of the consequences. The Adamites has been gently compelled to leave the ganeden with no chance to come back and that's when occurred that Cain, Abel and, later, Seth came to light. And the rest is known....Cain killed Abel and he has been gently compelled to leave the huge territory of Eden and wander around. But the territories outside Eden, and implicitly the rest of the world, were already populated by Sapiens, who used to live freely and, contrary to the Adamites, the Sapiens always been encouraged to procreate offsprings. Sapiens' age began long way earlier than Adamites, further to south. These humans weren't as much cultured as Adamites, who had the fortune to live shoulder to shoulder with the Elohim in the ganeden, and their genetic inheritance wasn't pure as the Adamites ones. However, Cain found a woman and fathered his offsprings. Then the great flood occurred, that can't be a worldwide event, to be clear, because the land-water system in this planet hasn't the quantity of water enough to cover all the lands. Therefore the biblic great flood had to be local, somewhere around today's Turkey and Armenia. If someone of Cain progeny made it to leave in time, then probably survived the great flood. Actually, prior to any offspring there were giants on the earth already. Please reread that verse. Those who believe there was an intermixing of species (angels or aliens and humans) do not realize that the giants were already in existence. It is in the same verse.

You make some guy points brother. Just one thought on the sons of God debate, if the line of Seth were the good guys, why did they also get destroyed in the flood? So this view if not stated in the text nor does it make sense. Both Seth and Cain were sons of Adam, who was a son of God, so again this link to Seth and Cain is not textually sound in my opinion. It says sons of God and daugthers of man (Adam).

Why make it so complicated video to understand? Make it pack and simple. Who is Nephilim? = When Fallen Angel and human mates, their kids is a Nephilim.

Sorry the Bible doesn't say that. You cannot read the son's of God as being Angels or fallen angels. Job 1:6 son's of God refers back to Job 1:4-5. Can man enter the garden of Eden again? How can Satan enter heaven again? If God cannot stand to be in the presence of sin how is it Satan can stand before Him?

@@jthomas196 Jay...I'm in your camp about gen 6...I'm still trying to get it straight. SoG mostly the OT are angles. Angles did take on human form at times in the OT. My personal believe is that when satan was cast out...not totally bc of Job...why would God allow satan to wreak havoc in Job's life? Remember satan said he was going to and fro to see who he could mess with. I think he (satan) when cast out then that was when God started creation. Music and worship was Lucifer's thing and his pride got him cast out. He probably told God who's going to praise you now? God said watch and see and He created mankind. We are here to praise and worship. We, in our bodies can create music and worship. Percussion, wind, and string instruments without instruments. Clap, stomp (percussion), singing (vocal cords and the breath that makes them vibrate. Just a thought.

Actually the nephilim are giants in the Bible they talk a couple of scriptures of them but in the book of Enoch which was taken out the bible there talked about alot of times from start to finish.

They were not cast to earth. Read Jude 1:6 - And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. This was an abomination. Read the Book of Enoch or listen to it here on KZread; you will have a better understanding of what took place and why it is important to understand this period to understand the whole Bible and the end times.. 1/3rd of the angels were cast out of heaven, but a bunch came down to earth on their own and made a pack. They wanted to spread their seed among God's creation of man.

apa Hope your doing well brother. Job 1:6 tells you that the sons of God presented themselves before the LORD, and says Satan was among them. What man can approach God's throne or go to heaven and back to earth? No flesh and blood man can appear in heaven before God, so it only could have been angels. Job 38:6-7 says that the sons of God were shouting for joy when the foundations of the earth was laid. Man didn't even exist yet. Here's more proof that angels are referred to as sons of God.1 John 3:2 tells us that we are sons of God. It's because of Jesus Christ's Spirit that we have been adopted. Matthew 22:30 Jesus says that in the resurrection, men are like angels. If we are going to be like angels, then that means the sons of God are angels. May God bless you.

The evidence is there. We are sons of God because of Jesus Christ, and his Spirit. Angels are spirits that God made. The scriptures confirm that the sons in Genesis 6 are angels. I am one of those strange Christians who can see angelic beings and other spiritual beings. I have been in the ministry for nearly 40 years. I am nearly 70. In the last two years, God has allowed me to see angels and other beings who are nearly 100 feet tall. One was standing on a stage behind a gospel singer. I looked around and apparently nobody else could see him. The other one was trapped under heavy stone boulders. I was praying and prophesying to the trapped angel from the book of Revelations.I was screaming loud speaking in another language. He was trembling and looked absolutely terrified. After the prayer I said to myself---'Only in Jesus can a 5'4 60+year old woman challenge a 100 foot fallen angel;. Whatever your gifts are, stay strong in God!

Sons Of God is used 5 times in the Old Testament. Always to represent Angels. Just as in the story of Shadrack, Meshack, and Abed-Nego. Why would it be used differently here? That would only cause confusion.

I think I will save my comments on this. The problem is we have a lot of teachers all teacher ng differed things. Belief in Jesus and his work suffering on the cross is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ALL. I say that if you make Jesus your focus and continue reading you'll have a revelation. Instead of slamming things down people's throats ( no offense to anyone) let's all love our neighbors and follow his commandments. If the Lord wants us to know something he WILL reveal it to us. The devil works in strange ways to divide us. Keep focus on him ( Jesus Christ) and we will someday have all the knowledge and I bet we will be very surprised at what we've been taught that isn't factual. This is most likely incomprehensible (depending upon your study). This world employs the law of reversal. It is never the “obvious” narrative repeatedly told. Evil never comes as depicted, it hides in plain sight & is very attractive. It is the wolf in sheep’s clothing...the inconspicuous; *never* the obvious. Perception is reality. The surface is a lie. The truth is never there for the taking...you must seek it. The path is narrow & *few* will find it for this very reason.

I love how we are focusing on the translations of the sons of man (sons of human) but not not the sons of god part. Bene Elohim with a literal translation of Son's of the gods. You cant have it both ways; it's either the son's of god with the daughters of man, or the Son's of the Gods with the daughter's of humans.

People have dug up bones of ancient giants, 8, 10, 12 feet tall, and they have dutifully turned them over to the Smithsonian institution, only to have them destroyed by that institution. There was a live Nephilim found in Kandahar Province in Afghanistan, but again the authorities covered it up.

The belief that aliens, known as the ‘sons of God’, came down to the earth and had babies with women is at best a fantasy. It is based on a catastrophic misunderstanding of Genesis 6:4. May I point out the following: 1. Fallen angels are known as devils and demons. To call a demon a son of God is to put him at par with Jesus Christ the true Son of God. This is outright blasphemy. 2. Righteous angels are not sons of God either: For unto which of the angels said he AT ANY TIME, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? (Hebrew 1:5). If righteous angels have never at any time been referred to as ‘sons of God’, how much less devils? 3. Contrary to the popular belief, it is not the union between the sons of God and the daughters of men that introduced the giants into the world. When the sons of God took the daughters of men to wife, the Bible clearly states, There were giants in the earth in those days (already) (Genesis 6:4). 4. Fallen angels still exist, and women are still there. Then why are they not having giants anymore? Besides, fallen angels do still come into embodiment through demon possession (Jesus cast demons out of people). Demon possessed people such as witches sire normal sized human beings, not giants. 5. Who then are the sons of God mentioned in Genesis 6:2,4? Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas … and Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ (Matthew 1:2,15,16). Luke picks up this genealogy from where Matthew stops and works backwards. He does not stop at Abraham where Matthew began but continues until, Mathusala, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, WHICH WAS THE SON OF GOD (Luke 3:37-38). If we apply the word ‘begat’ to the genealogy in Luke, this is how it would read: God begat Adam; and Adam begat Seth; and Seth begat Enos; and Enos begat Cainan; and Cainan begat Maleleel; and Maleleel begat Jared; and Jared begat Enoch; and Enoch begat Mathusala… This clearly brings out the fact that Adam and his descendants were the sons of God mentioned in Genesis chapter six. It is the genealogy of the sons of God: begins with God and ends with God (Jesus). Note that the Scripture does not call Adam a son of God but THE son of God. There are only two people in the Bible designated THE son of God: Adam and Jesus. This is because neither of them had a human father or a human mother (Mary was no blood relation of Jesus, else He would have had a sinful nature). God Himself was their parent. Also contrary to the general perception, Jesus was not the first Son of God. The first and the original son of God was Adam. Jesus is called the Last Adam (last does not come before first). True, Jesus existed before Adam, but not as Son of God, rather as God Himself. 6. What then was the origin of the giants? Many people debate what the mark of Cain was, but it ought to be straightforward. God turned Cain into a giant so that no person of ordinary build would dare to confront him. Cain clearly feared reprisal for him having murdered Abel. That reprisal would have to come, not from his own descendants but from Abel’s true brothers. The hatred between Cain and Abel did not just happen. God told the serpent, And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed (Genesis 3:15). There was to be hatred between the son of the serpent and the son of the woman. When Eve gave herself to Adam, she conceived Abel and, in this respect, Abel was the natural seed of the woman, thus prefiguring Jesus the spiritual Seed of the woman. Cain was the son of the serpent. His female descendants were later called the daughters of men whom Satan used for tempting the sons of God, thus marring the original pure DNA of the sons of God. 7. The post flood giants such as Goliath, Anak and the king Og had human fathers as clearly shown in scripture. They were not the sons of aliens. For example, Goliath was a Philistine. "I'm 100% sure that Angels call God there father". This is precisely what Hebrews 1:5 teaches against, "For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?". If angels were children (sons) of God, then they would have to be heirs with Christ, Romans 8:17, "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ". But no, "For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak." (Hebrews 2:5). Angels are servants of the redeemed according to Hebrews 1:14

I have produced Scriptures which say angels are not sons. No one has produced Scripture which says they are. It is based on assumption that Gen 6:4 is talking about angels. So I rest my case.

@@williamokello1566 Certainly, case closed for you because you have already made up your mind and have a particular type of interpretation that doesn't allow other types of explanations based on scripture as well. What do you do with Job that clearly says that angels are sons of God. Yes, all of the angels were good at one time until Lucifer and a third of them fell from heaven. I think where you confusion come in is when you relate fallen angles to demons. They are both evil, but they are different in origin and design. Many scholars don't see the difference and that can be problematic. It seems that you are more interested in winning an argument than learning the truth.
