It's really not, the biggest problem with this interpretation is that you have to ignore the LITERAL previous chapters Genesis 4 and 5, isolate the 2 verses that have "sons of God" in chapter 6 and ASSUME it's referring to fallen angels instead of the descendants of Seth. You have to ignore Matthew 22:29, (that is a problem verse for those who think angels procreated with humans) You have to ignore the over 10 references "sons of God" meaning men who worship God in the New Testament. And you also have to ignore the demon possessed man story, the demons said to Jesus "it is not the time of torment yet" meaning there's a specified time for destroying fallen angels. So his 2 Peter 2:1-10 connection doesn't work there either. I used to think that "sons of God" meant fallen angels too, but I remember just reading the previous chapters for hours seeking for clues and it all came to me and 6:38 made sense. Chapter 4 Cain's genealogy is the daughters of men Chapter 5 is Seth Genealogy sons of God "because men began to call on God's name when Seth was born and had sons Supporters of fallen angel procreation belief are just mostly intrigued by the race nephilim. A hybrid between human and angel. They are so intrigued with the idea they WANT "sons of God" to be fallen angels in Genesis 6. @@mikhailhunter5277I think you are ignoring what the text says, Sons of God. It says nothing of the sort about who they were before hand. It doesn’t say they are Angels. But Job does have something to say about it. The Sons of God were at creation, it’s the same word as in Gen 6. The Seth line runs into problems because the Cain line and Seth line Had to have had contact because Cain found a wife. From who? Adam, Seth.? And the big problem is People having sex with people do not make giant clans. ( I disagree with this guy on this point) Job defines Sons of God. So who are they that cheered at creation. God said they were there. He should know. It’s the only straight up answer the Sons of God are the Sons of God.

I came to this very probable deduction as well. Could very well be the same for the gods in Egypt and all other ancient civilizations. As it is said that 1/3 of the angels joined the devil’s rebellion as they wanted to be treated as gods and have rule over the humans.

The bilbe is however clear, it says well in genesis that the product of these couplings gave giants who were the heroes or the famous people of other times. So all the pantheons of ancient Greek, Egyptian, Hindu and other civilizations come from there.

If you pay attention, he reads the word “when” as meaning “before.” But “when” does not mean “before,” but rather “at the time of.” So the text would actually seem to be expressing that the appearance of the Nephilim coincides with the production of offspring from the unnatural couplings of angels and human women. Both interpretations are still possible, but I don’t see the support for positing his reading as the correct interpretation. Also, in his reading he states the text does not explain who the Nephilim were, but if you read “when” as meaning “when” and not “before,” that’s exactly what the text does - explain who the Nephilim were and where they came from.

I've known these things for decades now. Over 45 years ago,when I studied the book of Daniel's prophecies about the Antichrist, I noticed what Daniel was being shown in Daniel 11.And for decades after,no bible teacher I know of ever mentioned what is pretty obvious. Now,back then,talking about aliens and pointing this out in scripture got my friends eyes rolling. But now? Well, the majority of the world,according to recent polls,believes aliens are real. Here's biblical proof, and the prophecies of what's already unfolding in the news. Take note,remember that Jesus and the apostles warned over and over, do not be deceived. "Aliens" in the bible?!!! If you study the bible you would learn that angels can take on different forms. Now that includes fallen angels. Paul taught that in Thessalonians. Because they rejected the truth,God gives the world (those left behind after the rapture) over to a powerful delusion. 2 Thess.2:9 The coming of the lawless one(the Antichrist) will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 Now notice this. It's "the lie",singular,not lies plural. Paul states this twice,ok? It's one main idea that is at the deception the world is given over to. QUESTIONS: Weren't those watchers/fallen angels "spirit beings"? • Meaning no fleshly bodies nor genitalia? Did they somehow possess "creator" capacity apart from the Word, • or did they force the Word to do their bidding? • Meaning did they make their own flesh bodies with Genitalia? Weren't their boundaries of "after their own kind" established by the creator? • How did they violate the established order of "after their own kind" set by God almighty? • If they did make flesh bodies; how did they change the rules of being “now flesh” with its commensurate death? Wasn't the commission and command "only" to mankind "to be fruitful and multiply and subdue the earth" as was consistently reiterated? • How did spirit beings change that established order or subvert it and change the command of the creator so they could "multiply"? If they did not create genitalia for reproduction; meaning not have flesh bodies to inseminate; • did they do "virgin births" before Jesus? • Do we then say Nephalim came in the "flesh" as virgin births? • and that the Word/Creator didn't do that then but thousands of years later?

I was lucky enough to take his hermeneutics as a one-week intensive when I was serving abroad. He came to us on behalf of the seminary and shared his book with us and as much as he could about how to wisely interpret scripture. He ate with us, bunked with us, preached the most thoughtful Christmas message I’ve ever heard and even evangelized where he could. Awesome man right here.

I am not a Southern Baptist but I must say that the speakers that are associated with this channel that I've seen represent very well. I get a sense of grace and these elders still retain a sense of working to better understand.

I like how Michael Heiser puts it "I would rather live with ambiguity than contradiction when it comes to Biblical interpretation ".

In reality it is so difficult to interpret bible without one being filled with God's Spirit and power. Teaching scriptures without hearing from God is a big blindfolding. There are 2 classes of sonship: The permissive sons of God, these are classes of beigns among angels and man who can hear God by His voice before Christ came John 10:35. 2. The Adopted sons of God, these are those who have been able to received the Gospel of Christ by faith, now living with the eternal life of God in their spirit John 5:26, James 1:18, these class of people are the new Adams i.e the new creation men. Those angels known as the sons of God are also called the sons of morning or the morning stars, Michael, Gabriel etc and Lucifer before he fell, fall into this category they are the chief princes i.e archangels in the 2nd heaven, they are angels who stands before God's throne just as Gabriel mentioned to Zechariah. Among these sons of God some of them fell with Lucifer and his 1/3 troops in heaven, but Gabriel and Michael etc with their troops kept their company till date. You need to have an encounter with those guys to know the full details about what was summarized in the bible. If bible is enough to know the mysteries of God then we don't need the Spirit to commune with us again. Don't be carried away by doctorates in theology, bible is more than theology learning, it is spiritual.

In reality the ten spies lost faith when reporting back to Moses when about to enter the promised land. There were no giants in Israel,that's when Elohim got fed up with the children of Israel especially the ten spies giving a bad report while Joshua and Caleb wanted to go in and take the promised land as promised by Elohim. Elohim made the children of Israel wander the desert for forty years because of their unfaithfulness. They forgot who was their God. Those doubted Elohim were turned them to carcass until they all died including the ten spies,only two that left Egypt were able to enter the promised land which is Joshua and Caleb.

And in that verse I believe myself that they were referring to the Annuanaki who were considered to be the fallen ones as well. Or what we would call today aliens they were from the area of Assyria or Mesopotamia

Better explanations? did Angels pro create in Heaven? we don't even read of feminen Angels in the bible. We know Jesus said the Angels neither marry or are given in marriage. That is pretty heavy evidence that Angels can not procreate.

po yee. the scripture starts off by telling you that giants were not the result of fallen angels because it states that there were giants in the earth in those days and also after that when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men. scripture never said that the giants were of renown. it said the men who were born onto the sons of God were mighty men of old men of renown. scripture never called any of them giants or nephelim. the same scripture he is using to support his fallen angels theory is not supporting any fallen angels mixing with women period. and if that were true, how is it possible for noah to escape contamination but not the rest of his siblings? and with that many fallen angels as alleged by some truthseekers, what is the name of at least one fallen angel and his son?

This is why I tend not to read the Bible instead try to stay in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Don't think I'm saying the Bible isn't holy, or not to read it, what I'm saying is good gave us the Holy Spirit, and if you really have accepted Christ you can feel this flow over you, and it is the second greatest gift we have ever received, the first being the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for us . Erik Walker I have gained an understanding the at nephlim post flood, had much to do with inheriting the blood line from Noah’s wife and the wives of his sons. That the line of Noah ending with him had not been tainted and that his wife bloodline had been thus making his kids carriers of it, sorta like sickle cell. If you get what I am saying. If you read the full text it is referring to the ACT of the fallen angels entering into the daughters of men and yes, this act occurred before and after the flood.Conspiracy theories and conjecture and flat out twisting of scripture is what many of the commenters are discussing,not the bible.Read Gen.6:1-4.Literally spells out the exact premise that you stated.It says clearly the fallen angels entered into the daughters of men before and after the flood.

I mean come on...we hear we are suppose to understand "Gods" word and to "pray for understanding". And those that do pray come up with vastly different understandings which I understand should be the same consistent understanding. But then we are to understand there are evil forces opposed to us understanding and if we understand that then we can understand we have the wrong understanding. Have I got that about right?? I think its understandable that it does not make sense, or do I misunderstand?

Notice what Dake just said? He said angels dont marry. ok Why are people saying angels came down and had sex with the natural women and the women had babys by them which produced Gaints. Because it said the married the daughters of men. So the ones who married the daughters of men could not be angels. Remember that everything reproduces after its own kind. Humans cant produce babys that are half Human and Half Angels. Angels are sprit beings. Would anyone like to comment.

I think the sons of God refers to the lineage of Seth and the scripture intends to demystify the perception that they could have generated special giants by flesh. Here is my explanation:- we notice that all creatures and creation has structures and organs that adapts them to their environment and purpose. We have sex organs for reproduction, stomach for digestion, and limbs to walk. Land animals have these structures. Water creature have unique attributes for water survival. And the same is true for birds. Jesus, before he came, had to take the human form that is fit for use on earth (philipians 2). Therefore, it indicates He looked differently in heaven and angels in heaven have different structures for their environment and purposes. If Angels had sex with women, by nature they should be having sex with fellow Angeles in heaven. But you said Angels in heaven don't marry?? Then I ask, why would God give them sex organs and how would they have sex without marriage? They would be fornicators. Therefore, these can't be Angels.

You could say that if you lived in a forest but you are surrounded and depen on the decision of a lot of humans so how responsible are we really? I wouldn’t hate my neighbors if they were not my neighbors because I wouldn’t be listening their fking music loud all day that the put outside in the street. Therefore, it indicates He looked differently in heaven and angels in heaven have different structures for their environment and purposes. If Angels had sex with women, by nature they should be having sex with fellow Angeles in heaven. But you said Angels in heaven don't marry?? Then I ask, why would God give them sex organs and how would they have sex without marriage? They would be fornicators. Therefore, these can't be Angels.

True, but it does play a part in our salvation. the whole message, if you don't get anything else out of it is to not be unequally yoked. Saved individuals should not be marrying unsaved individuals, resulting in even more chaos. Also how fleshly lust is punished by spiritual judgment considering the wickedness that is taking place in chapter 6.

If you have studied science and the Bible, DNA of angels would make the humans quite small depending on the angel. And if you studied science in school you would have known that DNA that beings have could do anything with size and shape. Including human DNA with human DNA. You need to go back to school if you wish to know this. Even if some angels are large, some are quite small too.

The biblical "canon" was cobbled together by the Roman church through various councils. I have always wondered what rationale they used to determine what would make the cut.

@@Razaiel At the time the books and letters were put together there were still numerous Christian Churches. The Catholic Church centered in Rome had not yet destroyed those Churches and consolidated its power. These Churches had many manuscripts, and the churches had letters handed down to them that the original Apostles (Couriers) had given them. They had many writings of those taught by the Apostles. They debated each manuscript, the ones accepted having to have 2 to 3 witnesses, as the Scriptures require. This is how they settled on what we today call, "The New Testament."

@@Razaiel No. Not quite. I really really dislike the RCC, but truth is truth and the old story about the nefarious decisions that went into the selection of the Canon aren't accurate. There are several things needed for a book to be accepted as Scripture. The first and most important, Did the Jews consider it Scripture? They valued Enoch, but it was not considered inspired by God. The authorship is examined. Did the person claiming to write it write, dictate, or oversee it? How old is it? Is the material used consistent with the claimed age? Are the grammar, expressions, and idioms used consistent with the stated age? When it describes witnessed events, was it written close enough to the date of the events described to have been written and read by eye-witnesses? How does it line up next to other books which have already been accepted as inspired? If every Prophet in the canon has rejected magic, spells, incantations, etc then it is easy to see why Tobias is not included. Also, it is dated to have been written about 200 years BCE, but the story is placed in the 8th century BCE.

Regarding the phrase "and also afterwards" I agree, I appreciate the insight. However, how is it that "those days" are not the days of Noah? The assumption that 1 Timothy refers to the book of Enoch and is about shifting blame to angels rather than mankind is also pure speculation without corroborating evidence.

Nobody is being divisive. Don’t think these things aren’t running around. They might look human but they’re not. They’re evil, and they’re mean.

I think there are some misinterpretations. (Genesis 6. / KJV) 4. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. without no doubt, the giants or nephilims are offsprings between angels and human-women. Because the bible says "the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them" 'In those day' means the pre-flood world and 'after that' means post-flood world. It is written from the perspective of post flood world people (maybe moses). Why did God have to wipe out all humanbeings and nephilims in those day.(Noah's day). And why did God command the israelities to extinct the canaanites where the decendants of nephilims exists. Because it was a great threat against the messiah's coming in humanbody. In this perspective, i think we can understand Gen6 and the whole bible context.

What an amazing exposition and a great insight into the Book of Enoch and why so many want it consider as scripture. As a counter to Romans it would relieve man of the burden of a sinful nature. This is a great argument against the Book of Enoch. Every Bible student should hear this exposition and learn both the truths put forth and the manner in which they were derived. Praise God for your work.

The Book of Enoch tells us where the Nephilim came from, they were the Sons of the Watchers, the Watcher being the angels that left Heaven to take human wives. In fact it goes into great detail about them and what happened to them.

Wonderful insight. You had me from the moment you said we should not let having different interpretations of said material divide us. I am non denominational because one has to realize that different interpretations of the same scripture led to all these different groups, all thinking they have it right! Your way of reasoning spoke to me loud and clear as well. You don't seem to be afraid of what it REALLY says. I try to use my Friday night program to unite people thru Gospel Music with a few words from the Bible sprinkled in so to speak. God didn't seem to explain himself very well then, did he? The bible is god-inspired right? Yet he provides no evidence of his existence. His scripture is man-written, years after the events. There are dozens of versions, with some having whole books deleted or updated. Interpretation is needed, as it's not clear. He continues to allows hundreds of denominations to have different views, without simply correcting the ones that are wrong. He even allows other religions!. Does this really sound like a competent god? An all-powerful, all-knowing god? He sounds like a demanding and self-centred megalomaniac. His mistakes are in clear sight, yet followers continue to follow. He kills, causes pain and illness, and boasts about it throughout the old testament. He sounds truly awful. So if he is all-knowing and all-powerful, and all-loving, why does he not simply correct the issues he's caused? He is either uncaring, so doesn't bother, and allows suffering willingly. Or he is incompetent. Which is it?

Though something is hard to understand and fantastic sounding doesn’t make it impossible. Being born again is also a hard concept but with God all things are possible.

Dr. Gentry was my Hebrew professor at seminary. I love the man to death. I admire his vast knowledge of many languages, his understanding of Scripture, and his humility as a man of God. However, in this thorough explanation of the “sons of God,” I am withholding judgment, because he presented three interpretations 1) Godly line of Seth, 2) Angels marrying women, and 3) Heroes from the mythical past (i.e. Gilgamesh). I contend that there is a fourth one he did not mention directly (although he did indirectly), and it is that the sons of God could SIMPLY refer to MALE humans made in GOD’s IMAGE, as this stands in opposition to “daughters of man” supposedly being FEMALE humans made in MAN’s image. This is a quite plausible understanding of this passage, especially in the light of the newness of the world (we are only in the 6th chapter of Genesis). You end up having men who understood that their physiognomy set them apart from their female counterparts whose beauty they recognized and acknowledged. However, they magnified their own strength and saw themselves as heroes to be celebrated, and even gods. That elevated status began to produce all kinds of evil desires within them to the point of being unbearable to God. These “sons of God” must have been undeniably MALE humans, for the language of Genesis 6:3 is very precise. It says: “Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.” [NIV] Those two words human (adam [man]) and mortal (basar [flesh]) put the nails in the coffin of the angelic interpretation here. God NEVER uses words in vain. If He said HUMANS, He meant exactly that. The other rectification that I would like to make is Professor Gentry’s reference to the New Testament’s witness of Genesis 6. That passage he cites from 2 Peter 2 has absolutely NOTHING to do with Genesis 6, except for the mention of the events of Noah’s days. Let us remain aware that we are NOT given specific time periods between the realization of man’s wickedness and God’s decision to wipe them from the face of the earth. 2 Peter 2 follows a simple narration rule of connecting God’s sovereignty over heaven and earth with His justice and grace toward humans, which He does not extend to angels. This further delineates the difference between these two creatures, as much as it further cements the impossibility of them being mixed. I am hoping that Dr. Gentry can see my feedback and reply.

God created you and He loves you and He want a relationship with you. He is not found in any religion. But if you can call on Him and ask Him to reveal Himself to you He will do it. You might think you don’t need Him today. But one day you’ll be no more. Do you know where your soul will go? Heaven and hell are real. Queen Eva Thanks for your kind words. It’s not that I don’t know what being religious is. Actually I am raised Catholic and I used to read the Bible. I like it as a book and it holds some kind of youth sentiment. My grandfather used to read stories and explain them. It was one of the nicest things in my childhood. In my teens I quit religion and started to inform myself about other ways of making sense of life. I came to the conclusion (maybe sadly so) that there is no higher power. It really hurts to have to come to this conclusion. Now I dare say that I am very sceptical to all kinds of religion. The only thing that can give me the same feeling of calm that I had in church is meditating in nature. What happens to me after I die? I can’t say... My best guess is nothing. That is my body will decompose and in this way I will again become part of the circle of life. Not a bad thought. I know that believing in God can give you this good feeling of belonging. It’s quite special and yes I miss it but I cannot believe in a deity that isn’t there.

As I already said before I know how it is to believe in Jesus and God and even the Holy Ghost if you want the whole shabang . I know what I lost when I became an apostate. Not only did I loose my belief. I also made my grandfather very sad and I lost some kinda “friend” in high places where as a child I could talk to. Yeah I still remember te feeling of belonging and not having to justify yourself... but ... I was a child and children are easy to fool. When I found out that there is no such thing as a god it made me sad ... really sad. Now, I accepted my faith, that is no other than all the people who came before us. Another thing to consider regarding the Nephalim is that the word nephal in Hebrew basically means "to fall," (even though it is not in the infinitive in that form). Therefore - and we discussed this in class at Fuller - the term Nephalim can be interpreted as "fallen ones."

I think the sons of God refers to the lineage of Seth and the scripture intends to demystify the perception that they could have generated special giants by flesh. Here is my explanation:- we notice that all creatures and creation has structures and organs that adapts them to their environment and purpose. We have sex organs for reproduction, stomach for digestion, and limbs to walk. Land animals have these structures. Water creature have unique attributes for water survival. But you must also consider that angels can change forms, and thus could put on sex organs by choice possibly. Shape shifting is a real practice in the occult which these fallen angels would have invented.

Thats why I Do not agree with this mans second sentiment. Perhaps when the Author was talking about endless geneologies, Paul was referring to what the Pharisees would claim about being the sons of Abraham, and John the baptist and Jesus both said, that your geneology doesnt mean anything. (PARAPHRASED) Why? In scripture the Israeli and and kings of Judah had a scrambled and broken line of faithfulness and unfaithfulness to God IN LINEAGE. So although their lineage was racked with both faithfulness and unfaithfulness the emphasis of Jesus and John the baptist was on HANDED DOWN HERITAGE and not lineage. Of course this example is displayed all the way back to the story of Adam and Eve bearing 2 sons. One who followed God and one who didnt. Same lineage but handed down different Heritage. so was Paul referring to the Nphalaim in his letter to Timothy, my instinct says no but had more to do with doctrinal divide.

Jude quotes a whole paragraph out of the First Book of Enoch, the one in the Ethiopian Canon. And that book was also found in the caves of qumran.

Paul also quotes external sources such as poetry, one example in Acts 17:28. Quotation of an outside source doesn't make the source necessarily Biblical canon as seem in the Acts example (Paul did this a few other times too).

Job 38:7 disproves the first theory AND the third theory by itself. The Sons of God are obviously a high-level heavenly species that are either angels or another species even higher than the angels.

The problem with many nouns created by religion and taught by translations is at the root of the confusion about what a "messenger" of a god would be. At some point the question has to be asked; can you be a messenger of a god? Would that make you an angel? Is that not getting to the root of the problem with nouns created by religion and their translation?

I raise this question however...If the fallen angels who left their first estate did cohabit with human women, they must have had children. Would it not stand to reason that those progeny would have extraordinary characteristics, such that they would be "men of renown"? Furthermore, the term "demigods" in ancient mythology seems to describe beings who are half "god" and half human; and were people of extraordinary power and influence. Thus, the tradition that "nephilim" were demigods or giants living in the earth seems a most likely interpretation based on the proximity of their advent in the scriptures to the sin of the "sons of God".

I agree with your interpretation of Genesis 6 referring to the Fallen Angels cohabitating with human women. The church I was attending when I became a Christian, taught the Seth and Cain Line Interpretation. Even as a new Christian, I suspected that interpretation was not correct. Your second interpretation that the Nephilim are not the offspring of the Fallen Angels and Human Women seems correct by the reason mentioned. However, it creates more questions. One, like you mentioned, the Nephilim are not explained, and the origin and their meaning was understood by the original readers. Two, if the Nephilim were not the offspring of the Fallen Angels, then who or what became of the offspring? Were they hybrids? Did they have souls? Were demons created by the death of the offspring? Were they biologically giants and highly intelligent? Not to mention the fact that Fallen Angels are assumed to have changed their original form to appear as humans and cohabitate with human women. If they Fallen Angels did procreate, how was that possible? There are many references to Heavenly Angels taking a human form but were temporary and never interacted with humans intimately. Did the Fallen Angels create their own DNA? Do angels have the ability to create from nothing? Three, where did the Giants including Goliath and his brothers come from? Four, what was the punishment for the Fallen Angels that cohabitated with human women? Was the Flood God's Punishment to get rid of the hybrids and stop contaminating God's Seed? Lastly, it's assumed that the Fallen Angels were the Angels that rebelled with Satan. What was Satan's Role in the Genesis 6 Event? How did God prevent it from happening again? Also, the Hebrew Bible Interpretates Bereshit 6 as Sons of the Nobles.

Peter could be relating to the Book(s") Enoch, which was found along with the Dead Sea Scrolls and did talk at great length about the fallen sons of God.

I still think Hercules was a Nephilim. The Greeks call the angels, "gods." Hercules "father" was Zeus and his mother was a human being. Fits EXACTLY what the Bible tells us.

this is probably because the nephilim were a way to basically convert new people by giving them an explanation for their already present deities...similar to how St. Patrick put the symbol of the Sun deity of Ireland on the cross to show its significance resulting in the Celtic Cross ( a sort of co-opting of pagan and Christian symbols.) The faith has done this many times throughout history it is very much the reason Christmas is on December 25th (which was a widely celebrated date for Roman Holidays) as the religion spread and got bigger, it often co-opted ideas as many religions do. So essentially you are probably right that at first Romans prob didnt totally stop believing in Hercules but rather saw him as something between God and people and these stories exist to allow that belief.

I think there was titans before the flood and they were the sons and daughters of the fallen angels and so back then everything was big even trees so the giants climbed the trees up to heaven but they were chopped down and all of them were killed by the flood and they became the lands and the mountains this explains why there is a big tree stump the size of a mountain

There is so much about Earth's history that we don't know, can't imagine, and can't comprehend. We like to pretend that we have a firm grasp on the laws of nature when the truth is that all we've done is open the book.

I love the end of this lecture when he says that the sin in the world is no one else's fault but mankind. This is so true, God gave us free will and because of our weakness and disobedience we broke the agreement with God and created the first sin and thus began the death of mankind and the world

But, the christian god is supposedly of supreme knowedge and power. When he created the universe and people he could have set some standard other then eternal torture for any offense, no matter how small. He could have done any number of things differently so that we are not born destined for hell unless we do exactly as told in a book written by men that is full of stupid lies and immoraity. Of course, since god knows all, he knows before hand who is going to heaven and who to hell and he is perfectly happy to condemn people before they are even born by allowing them to be born. No, he gave us a world that looks exactly as it would without his influence, refuses to allow any evidence for his existence, and stands ready to punish us for acting in accordance with what we are given. It's ridiculous. It's insane. It's hateful. The concept of sin and redemption in Christianity is the single most appalling and evil thing about this mythology.

That's the same thing in Genesis. Look at how many times Man, Men, or Mankind is mentioned? How many times is angels, fallen angels, or demons listed? Often it is best to follow the oldest Jewish traditions. This is the Cain/ Seth view as previously mentioned in Genesis 4&5. How does the lineage begin with Cain? Just show how immoral god was to have knowingly created us so weak then doesn't it. God sounds awful. The world will be a better place when religions finally die out, in the way they are in educated countries. Education and critical thinking is the key.

I think the sons of God refers to the lineage of Seth and the scripture intends to demystify the perception that they could have generated special giants by flesh. Here is my explanation:- we notice that all creatures and creation has structures and organs that adapts them to their environment and purpose. We have sex organs for reproduction, stomach for digestion, and limbs to walk. Land animals have these structures. Water creature have unique attributes for water survival. And the same is true for birds. Jesus, before he came, had to take the human form that is fit for use on earth (philipians 2). Therefore, it indicates He looked differently in heaven and angels in heaven have different structures for their environment and purposes. If Angels had sex with women, by nature they should be having sex with fellow Angeles in heaven. But you said Angels in heaven don't marry?? Then I ask, why would God give them sex organs and how would they have sex without marriage? They would be fornicators. Therefore, these can't be Angels.

So refreshing to hear a well thought out and researched explanation of this subject. And I’m glad that he states at the beginning for us to remain humble. On subjects like these that are not essential to agree or disagree on regards to salvation, I enjoy learning and discussing different views and interpretations.

@@brianochieng7371 2 Peter 2:4 tells us the angels who sinned are locked in chains in darkness till the Day of Judgment. They most definitely were angels and they most definitely defiled humans, creating hybrids, which is why their offspring HAD to be destroyed! They were not fully human!!

@@camilla6110 Yes. I disagree with the interpretation in this video. Fallen Angels, can reproduce because they're in a fallen / impure state. I think that the Nephalim / Giants were descended from the Fallen Angels, main reason is that man is not going to have been triple his current size in the beginning. Giants clearly aren't fully human because there's a major size difference. The reason why the Flood happened is that all flesh, human and animal, was corrupted by the Fallen Angels. I believe the "in those days & afterwards" is referring to before the Flood & after the Flood when the Fallen Angels clearly returned and corrupted some tribes, reason why God told the Hebrews to completely annihilate them & their animals. Unclean - contaminated by 👹

This interpretation needs to account for the 9+ foot skeletons of the Nephilim and why God directed Joshua and David to destroy them and their descendants. That the Nephilim were an impure genetic mix having descended from fallen angels seems a more likely reason.

Some of these giants were 16 ft tall. It doesn't matter how much man has sin it's impossible that thier genetics can create or bring fourth giants...I truely believe that this was a different creation

First time I read the bible was in Arabic since was the only Language I use in studying in the school and The only language I can read and Write at age of 14 yrs old . I also speak Aramaic language as a traditional language we speak in home but not as reading and writing just speaking at home and in prayers in church. So first time I started to read the Bible the verse of sons of the God married daughters of men stopped me from continuing to read before i go forward and complete the Bible and it happened many times while i am growing until now I am middle of fifties . I think the nature of Angels doesn’t change when they left dwelling home and come to earth and become rebellious and fallen angels working against God’s plan . I mean physically they are still unable to intermarry with human women.But they have a celestial knowledge so it is not necessary to marry the men daughters but they taught the men all forbidden knowledge that lead to beautify the women making them more charming like eyeliner and thread the eyebrows, also teaching men how to make weapons and war and eating things , Here i mean all kinds of knowledge that lead to breeding giants, so Yes there are fallen angels Nephillim they left their dwelling place and came to earth and they taught humans all bad knowledge that led to breeding Giants by making women more beautiful more attractive teaching the men healthy food that lead to becoming stronger in sex . Also as Aramaic speaker. The Hebrew word Nephilim mean fall , we in Aramaic say Npilli mean fell down the adjective Npeela Npila the fallen for plural Nipilli . It is related to the word Nephilim . So existing the giants on earth in those days is due the forbidden knowledge have been given to humans by Nephilim(fallen Angels). the Giants are the heroes of old men of renown as a result of their stature or their size. And those giants breed caused to consume all food resources to the degree the living became hard to normal people.

That's incorrect because npilli is defined as a tyrant aka a bully the giants are not "heroic or honorable" which is what renoun means so the children that came from the angels interbreeding with the daughters of men were not giants at all

You are right because when I fast and pray to GOD for understanding, He always clears up any ambiguities. HE answers through Spiritual Revelations, Visions, chosen People, Premonitions, and/or Dreams. My Dreams are profoundly realistic because they eventually come true, but Premonitions do not always come true because they are warnings. That is GOD's way of admonishing us and giving us the opportunity to change our ways or stop doing wrong. Either way, I get my answers from GOD. I believe GOD wants everyone to know the truth, thusly, I believe if everyone would take the time to fast and pray and just spend some quality time with Him, He will answer everyone. GOD has no favorites, He Loves everyone and wants everyone to be Saved, but He says those who continue to hate and intentionally cause harm to others will not be Saved. In fact, GOD does not hear the prayers of the wicked, evildoers, and Satan worshippers. Moreover, He also says He detests those who justify the guilty and accuse the innocent. HE calls them an abomination.

I hate to point out the obvious here... but I'm sure that folks are praying and have prayed for thousands of years. Could be that "Holy Spirit" is a bit of a trickster, cuz he keeps giving people totally different answers to the same question.

In the Greek Septuagint (Deuteronomy 32:8) it says: „When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the Sons of God.“ Whereas the Masoretic text says: „When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.“

The presenter is a LIAR and FAKE. He is very very confused about Genisis 6. Dr. Gentry needs immediate psychiatric attention if he imagines that his obscurantist confused babblings bring clarity to Genisis 6. He is an ignorant bully too filled with his own self deception to perform a coherent analysis of any scripture. He should retire or get a lobotomy so he will stop bothering the rest of us truth seekers, please. He is a waste of space and time.

The Bible writer Jude indicates that the “sons of God” in Genesis 6 were angelic creatures. In verse 6 he states that “ And the angels who did not keep their original position but forsook their own proper dwelling place,he has reserved with eternal bonds in dense darkness for the judgment of the great day.7 In the same manner, Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah and the cities around them also gave themselves over to gross sexual immorality.” The cross reference leads to Genesis 6:1-4. So where did these angels go? Simply put they materialized fleshly bodies and lived as men. Notice too how Jude links their behavior with the perversions of later societies. Verse 7 continues:” In the _same_ manner, Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah and the cities around them _also_gave themselves over to gross sexual immorality* and pursued unnatural fleshly desires,” .....The result of this interference by spirit creatures with the human family led to the “earth being ruined in the sight of the true God.”

It also explains possibly why those men in S&G were so hell bent on having relations with the angels in Lot's home. Since those angels were more powerful, they were able to disable the evil ones when fleeing.

I'm not sure I agree with that because it says that because they left their position they were BOUND until the day of judgement. These are angels that rebelled with Satan, it doesn't say they came to earth in Jude 6 and had a sex party and then were bound.
