What a wonderful overview of the Lay Dominican community. I’m very interested in becoming Lay Dominican, I interact with Dominican Sisters here in Kentucky with our Catholic school and teach OCIA. Thank you for taking the time to post this on KZread. God Bless!

If one were to want to pursue becoming a Lay Dominican, would the local parish have to have an affiliation with the Lay Dominicans given that the local fraternity is some distance away to make frequent attendance?

I'm not sure what you're really asking, but my situation is such that I travel a little less than 2 hours to the next **diocese** to attend. My local parish isn't affiliated with any religious order.

Where do you find the pre-Vatican II Divine Office? When I tried to find books, they were rare and veeeery expensive. Are there any good websites?

@@mick1gallagher The Catholic publishers that I am aware of do not use their profits in a malicious way and many don't make that much money. Used booksellers on the other hand are more focused on the profit margin and who knows what they do with it.

Wasn’t Venerable Fulton Sheen a lay Dominican as well? I thought I read that somewhere, but I want to be sure.
