It's why I like the cthonia missions. They have more objectives and push board control. Too many in main book are just sit back and shoot with fancy units for three turns then if you have to, run on to an obj by t6

Great narrative battle, and I agree beautiful to see all the tactical squads. As far as format, this was totally fine, but I do really enjoy more the classic recordings seeing almost all the combat rolls.

@@SNBattleReports I think at the very least I'd like to see most of the save rolls, I think a target of about 90 minutes seems to be my preferred length for a battle report

Format worked really well. Still managed to show just how good Scars can be and all the different units.

Love the new format. Fists full of dice definitely bog it all down, especially for the player filming. I do enjoy that you do still show SOME dice rolling though so I feel you found a good balance. I think you should experiment with a few more videos using this and if the fan base REALLY isn't feeling it then go back to fist fulls of dice. As a video editor myself, and a fan of shorter batreps, This format is very satisfying.

Around 1 hour is good for this type of BatRep! Personally, I like to see even shorter ones. I don't mind losing the banter in exchange for story telling and summarizing actions.

This was an absolutely amazing game! Super interesting fluffy lists, beautifully painted armies, a bloodbath overall. Congrats on the win! I really hope I can bring my Thousand Sons to the next SN No Retreat in May. The Prospero nerds don't get much love nowadays, it would be their time to finally shine!

It breaks my heart to see the Iron Circle get smashed. Every time I bring mine they are flattened. Love that you charged with Tyrants, I feel people forget they are also terminators with fists.

Hello, loved the armies and really liked the discussion at the end of the game. The debrief of the game is a really nice thing and I did enjoy that a lot. I must say that I am not keen of the new format. The dice rolls add so much to the experience and not having them is really taking a lot out of the enjoyment of the videos in my opinion. Makes the battle report less immersive. Lastly, thank you guys for the great videos. They look great and it is always a pleasure to see one of your production. Keep up the good work guys :). Oh, one last thing, you need to bring Angron on the table ;). Take care

Liked the new format guys - I think the trick is to pick the one most interesting/important shooting and combat per turn for the ultimate format! (Which is more or less what you did).

I think the rolling adds to the excitement, just my opinion.

I miss some of the shooting rolls. Think there’s some drama to be found there. Also the dice “battle” between the dreadnoughts bears more investigating. It really held my attention. Adding some more drama to important close combat seems like an awesome idea., between leaders/hq/primarchs etc. those quick rolls brought out the spirit of the contest

New format is alright, but I do miss the drama of seeing more of the dice rolls. Hearing that 15 5+ saves were made isn’t the same. Still incredible work in either format 👍

Sorry Pardo, another who prefers a longer format, the intros are lengthy so it’s well under an hour for the actual game. I’m sure for most who don’t have much free time it’s better, but not my cup of tea. That being said - this view is in the minority :)

Armies look great especially the White Scars, thats just an awesome color scheme. On the new format not much of a fan of this style. Works for the movement phase but for shooting and assault really prefer to see dice rolls and saves. Never been a fan of moving armies around then doing clips of units missing after a phase. Makes it look clippy and I want to feel that tension of hoping a gambit pays off. It's OK say for blasts and maybe an insane amount of shots into a unit to skip and say what ever happened.

I don't know how feasible this would be from a video editing perspective, but maybe film every dice roll; but only include it in the final video if the dice roll way above/below average? I enjoy the "live reaction" as it were to the really good/bad rolls. But otherwise I like this format, only showing the "important" dice rolls makes things flow a lot smoother.

Something that bugged me for a while now, the terrain placement. I compared yours with Winters and noticed that yours are most of the time placed in a more clinical, symetric way. Quite often in the same way. With many open areas with a larger blocking piece in the middle. Dont get me wrong the terrain looks great and thematic, but to me, Winters terrain placement seems more organic and is not only part of the narrative, it forms it. It is more impactfull.

@@SNBattleReports How do I explain it. Your terrain placement has not a lot of impact on the game. It is less narrative, more like the typical tournament placement. A suggesstion, what about a stream about the terrain? Maybe it is just me, but that way you can perhaps gather some suggesstions for possible improvements. Another one, because I lack a bit in the properly explaining my thoughts department, watch some of Winters Horus Heresy Batreps. Even if it is just the first few minutes where he shows the battlefield and compare it to yours. Assessing differences, benefits, drawbacks and impact on the game and different army lists/types.

You can't please everyone (completely). Just do your thing. But I still think you should make a stream about it.

i prefur the old style. i want to see the dice rolls and seeing when what units target another etc. feels more like a battle report to me and less like a pictured story like it is currently.

Arent you playing brutal wrong on 38:10. One of the domitar häs two wounds left you should roll the saves separetly as Brutal 2 does 2 wounds to one model if you fail both saves.

@@SNBattleReports yes. Pardo rolled 4 dice together. Failed 3 of the 4 saves. Then said these saves dont carry over. Took 2 wounds off the one domitar and removed it.

Not getting to see the rolls and watching the actual tide of battle turn as things go well or poorly kind of wastes the entire point of watching batreps. I really enjoyed this channel but the new ones feel very lacking without getting to see the hype of whether a blast hit where it was intended or drifted back into you

Wow what a low blow, reply to my valid comment on your channel tier video and then move the video to members only because of the bad feedback so i cant reply. So here is my reply. Are you saying by making us pay to join your whatsapp chat instead of keeping your discord open your not trying to force people to pay for community engagement? For the same access i had before the changes i have to pay £9.98 a month instead of the £3.99 i was doing before. Like i said before i was a member for i think 8 months before the changes so i have a right to an opinion. Its great to see that you silence criticism with underhand tactics but your fine to let people praise your content. I like your videos and they were some of my favourite battle reports but for a small channel your doing a good job of alienating your viewer base.

Discord is free, exists, and is active. The video is public, not member only and I can comment on your past comment from my non member profile. The whatsapp is a new perk and really is a totally different experience from a discord or other communities. If you watched any of the videos youd know why SN made their changes and if this allows for more content, more often, and more focussed, then I'm here for it. If its not your cup of tea (no one is making you do anything) then so be it. Talk about underhanded, look in a mirror with your straw man argument. But based on your attitude im in no rush to cross paths on discord or whatsapp for that matter and hearing all your justified opinions :)

Hey man, what’s with the anger? The discord is still live and active and isn’t going anywhere as far as I know. The upgrade on YT is a streamline of the memberships due to going HH only. I’ve gone from £3.99 to full access AND Patreon and dude it is worth every penny. That being said, it’s optional. If you don’t want to have that exclusivity, you don’t have to. People are still chatting in the discord :)😊
