White NEGRONI A true Modern Classic

Hey Folks! Today we are making the White Negroni. This is a true Modern Classic. It swaps off the Sweet vermouth for french Blanc Vermouth and Campari for Suze, which is a French Aperitif liqueur. Slightly bitter, but with lots of gentian root flavors and other herbs & spices.
It was a hot summer night when London-based bartender Wayne Collins suggested having Negronis, but since they were in France at the time, suggested making it with french ingredients instead. "Let's just call it a White Negroni." The story is as simple as the drink.

Recipe:
WHITE NEGRONI
1.5oz (45ml) London Dry Gin
.75oz (45ml) Suze
.75oz (45ml) Blanc Vermouth
Add all the ingredients into your glass (or mixing glass) add ice and give it a quick story for about 5 seconds. Garnish with a grapefruit twist or a slice.
You can also make this cocktail equal parts, but I like the extra kick from the gin.

Get it it's worth it! Not too expensive either. Either use it all for this drink or use it for the drink and make suze, grapefruit juice on the rocks with bitters haha

Love vermouths! Blanc is a nice addition. For a simple way to drink your vermouth you can always enjoy it on the rock with some bitters and lemon twist or even with tonic.
We still not have tried Suze. But when I do this cocktail is the first one.

I would like to see Riley's reaction on this. Wonder if she will hate it as much as Campari. I don't think so but who knows haha
What a cool video and l have a new cocktail to try and congratulations on your engagement... I'm not a big Beefeater fan do think it would with Miles a London Dry gin

Thank you for your kind words! I appreciate it. It's Understandable, some Gins are definitely not for everyone. I think next I will grab myself a bottle of Fords
I definitely don't stock Suze or Lillet Blanc so now I am heading to the store.....

Fair excuse to go to the liquor store. It's hard not to spend lots of money every time I visit my favorite liquor store
Is there a Boulevardier version of the White Negroni?

I actually haven't seen this but I'm sure it can be easily done! I would perhaps used a white Mesquite such as Del Bac, I know High West also offer a Silver whiskey in their line up. You can use the same specs on this video but swap the Gin for your choice of Mesquite or Silver Whiskey
I much prefer this to a standard negroni - campari is too bitter for me

I can see that, Campri is too bitter for most. This is more subtle and lighter than the Campari version for sure. I love both
