I just did this swap on my 23 SDU...the only non-led on the whole exterior. What a PITA that housing was to get to. 😵‍💫 I had to drop the spare to get enough space and then squeezing my meat sticks between the bumper and hitch assembly was tight. Worth it, though. Looks so much better. 👍

I got those lights bulbs and are amazing 👏

I bought this brand for my Palisade reverse and plate bulbs. Unfortunately, one of the plate lights burned out in 1yr BUT... the customer service is awesome because they sent me another set as a replacement with ease!! So maybe they'll last another year, which isn't the best but at least now I have a spare!

That’s the funnest part!

Just a heads up. I have ran those exact bulbs. They are extremely bright and a great color/look. But… they don’t last long before they strobe like crazy. So you will want to keep an eye on them every time you start your truck at night incase you need to swap. I have had the best luck with Sylvania LED.

It’s a silicone key fob sleeve. I didn’t want to scratch up the originals

I looked into it. I don’t think they are a replaceable bulb. They seem to be some kind of integrated LED. Just speculation, I don’t know for sure, but they might be like the front facing spotlights on the mirrors.

you can, but its not worth it. Factory HIDs tend to be very very bright with good cutoff line. the tradeoff is efficiency (power drain) and complexity. There is a comparison (its not in english, but i can sum it up if you want) where a site similar to jalopnik compared the BMW 1 series (or 2? i forgor) factory light options. Halogen, HID and LED. All factory. the brightest was HID (there were other factos as well) . a good HID can outperform an LED, its just too complicated system with a lot of failure points, and PITA to manufacture. nowadays OEM charge a lot for LED option, but getting it manufactured is really cheap. fraction of the cost of an hid system. (not taking moving parts into expense consideration). Third thing, Even tho an HID can be brighter than an OEM LED, premium cars (bmw, AUDI, etc) have brighter leds than old HID. BUT! THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS: OEM HID WILL ALWAYS BE BRIGHTER than aftermarket LED. Aftermarket LED BULBS are a joke. scatter light everywhere, no cutoff line, the little light they produce, even that cannot be used, as its scattered everywhere instead of focused on the road. so even if you put a light metering device in front of the two bulbs, and IF the led is brighter, you still get more visible light out of the hid. Change your HID bulb to Philips, or OSRAM (sylvania in U.S. i guess) to a new bulb. hid can be less bright over time, so it might help. or change it to what the car brand recommends. If that doesnt help, maybe the lens needs a buffing, then a clear uv resistant wrap, or a clear coat. if that doesnt help, try to make the projector clean. If its still bad, try a company that can change the projector. that way the hid will look like new. but if you go that far with it, at that point you can make them change it to LED PROJECTOR. those are good, because they were designed to be an LED PROJECTOR from the beggining. dont mix them up with the shit bulbs. Morimoto is a good brand in projectors. you can get that if you want. i would stick to HID. NEW BULB, BUFFED LENSES + UV RESISTANT FILM (or CC).

Ordered mine. I remember when i first got my at4 in 2019 I couldn’t find any that would fit property or that wouldnt cause flickering Hopefully these do the trick

Unfortunately they are integrated. The only non-LED bulbs left to change are the front signal lights. That video is coming soon

Great vid! I asked a while back if you did a video on on how to do this so glad to see you finally did! I wonder if there was a reason they kept those non-led? Does it light up the tailgate at night? Does it blind the Reverse camera at night? Just trying to think why some engineer at GM would want to keep these non-led. Interested to hear what you think before I change mine.

194 should fit the license plate bulbs. You can double check on most bulb websites

How do you add them to a yukon though. They arent seperate now. They are sealed into the entire license plate lamp.

I am still on my first 2/10. I have 8 spares

The problem I'm having is getting the bulbs out, and I had a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado that I changed the license plate bulb lights, which was challenging. I now have a 2022 GMC Sierra AT4, and I'm not able to twist the bulb and get it out and thinking if I took a large piece of plastic tubing and split it if I could put that over, that might allow my hand more leverage or else the next time I have service I'll have the dealership to.

I just did this with some LEDs off eBay. I was horrified my brand new AT4 Duramax has piss yellow incandescent bulbs. Step it up GM… Did the same on my 19 Colorado Zr2 Duramax
