I find that it people speak that way it is normally because familial ties, or lack there of or because they've been conditioned to think it those terms by society
what you said at the beginning is so relatable, as a lightskin who looks real similar to you, i’ve been called both my whole life
Showed my wife your channel a while back to convince her to loc up with me, but she’s also mixed (w mom/b dad) and just watches to support. She feels the same as you, sadly not enough mixed children speak out about it. So thank you for using your platform in ways you can make a difference 💪🏽

I am a Loctiton ; I So Agree about two strand twist is great for curly texture hair. It makes the Retwist last so much Longer. And once its time to take the Twist out you can wear it crinkly also for a week or 2. So you Really get 2 Styles in one. Good video. "Shout Out to the Stylist also".... She done a Great job! 🏅
If you ever feel alone bc of this, like you don’t belong, come back to this video and remember you got da Great fam 😎
Your hair does look amazing. When I get my hair retwisted I too feel the confidence. You feel like a bright new person. Great content.
Tbh I like when dreads are frizzed up and messy. Its a nice contrast with the fade.

Thank you for speaking up on your mixed heritage. I’m mixed too. Jamaican mom and Scandinavian dad. Brought up in London. And I really related to your story. I’m debating locs and this is definitely giving me the push ❤
Awesome!!! She did a great job!
thank you alot!!! ive been watching for a while now and wanted to share what i did because of your videos i braided the hair as box and let them lock for a little over 2 months then after i started to use the crotchet needles to lock and refine and also did the rub in hands as well it works super good thank you!!

Good for you, you are the first mixed white black person i heard on video embracing being both which is a good thing, its awesome being a unique individual. Any tips about someone with straight hair looking to get dreads?
ngl these ur best set of locs except for the thinning in the front
Hey. What happens if i have straight hair and i get dreadlocks while having de effect of a curly perm?
How many dreads do you have roughly and is just high top dreads or a full head
I brought up getting locs to my friends, they said I didn’t look “thug” enough and that I was “too smiley” (not really being mean I didnt take it to heart), I want locs but idk if I’d look good with them since the people I’ve talked to have been against it
Do you have to wet your hair every do so it can lock
I under to watch your content 6 years ago.. Your content was super inspirational.. From talking about gym, to christianity and the dread journey.. now i kinda feel like you just post click baits about dreadlocs.. Hope you get back to the proper content I miss. I’m mixed but my hair is more curly , the black community picks and chooses who they accept lightskin for blacks , you gotta have black facial features and have that aura, I can see why they say your white but you a brotha
@BeReasonable4the1time
Жыл бұрын
The black community is way too big for that statement to hold. Many (African) Americans have been conditioned to believe that anyone with at least one black parent is black. But still, some AA might define black people as a person who has 2 black parents/at least 3 black grandparents and define someone with 1 black parent and 1 white parent as mixed, while others might determine someone's race based on appearence - phenotype and hair texture.

half my hair is curly and half is straight so i dont know how to get dreads
Know anybody in the west valley that can do instant locs? I have type 2b curls and cant find anyone whos willing to do them since I keep hearing its bad for my hair.
Bro I have a question, isn't that your dreadlocks? If so, where do they get these dreadlocks?
I want to get dreads
I have a similar hair texture like you (I’m German and Black) and I have had dreads before, but the girl who did them (white) moved away. The hair salons in my town that call themselves “loc experts” always give me bs about my hair and why I could never get them. Then I have to tell them and show them pics. They also say insta locks won’t work for my hair 🤦🏽♀️ so I said all that to say this. I can to my own in the front but what is the best way for the back? I get frustrated and wash them out 😢 any advice or videos on doing the back of the head?
