Rolex GMT Master II ref. 116719
This edition of the Pepsi GMT Master II is a coveted collector’s item. In 2018, the black dial and red and blue “Pepsi” bezel configuration in white gold was discontinued to make way for the current blue dial ref. 126719BLRO. If you adore the design of the white gold GMT with a black dial and the iconic two-tone bezel in ceramic, this ref. 116719 is your best bet. In white gold, it also offers the exclusivity of an all-precious metal finish. As inventory on the secondary market continues to dwindle, we expect this white gold Rolex to increase in value.
As a modern Rolex, ref. 116719 also includes the newer-style “Super Case” with broader lugs and a larger, more squared-off crown guard, integration to the Triplock waterproof screw-down crown, and a Maxi dial with larger hour markers and wider Mercedes hands. Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ref. 116509
The Daytona 116509 is the masculine chronograph that Rolex collectors known and love but in stunning 18kt white gold. Surprisingly, the series relied on outsourced movements until just recently in 2000, when ref. 116520 hit the market with the cal. 4130 hard at work within the case. Before that, the Daytona was powered by an outsourced Zenith El Primero movement. Reference 116509 includes the same calibre 4130 movement, staying true to Rolex’s philosophy of keeping every aspect of their production in-house.
Rolex President Day-Date ref. 218239
The “Rolex Presidential,” as it is sometimes referred to, has always been produced in precious metal, never steel. When it debuted in 1956, the Day-Date featured a 36mm case. To keep up with emerging watch trends, Rolex unveiled the somewhat polarizing Day-Date II in 2008, complete with a larger 41mm case. The collection has since been discontinued in favor of the current Day-Date 40, making the white gold ref. 218239 all that more desirable among collectors in the know.
Rolex Yacht-Master 42 ref. 226659
It’s rumored that the concept behind the Yacht-Master was born decades before its actual release in the 1990s. Rolex sought to create a more luxurious take on their insanely successful Submariner, resulting in the flashier Yacht-Master. Ultimately, Rolex tabled the design, only for it to come to fruition in 1992 via gold ref. 16628. While the Submariner was developed for adventures under the sea, the Yacht-Master is much more suitable above the decks of a boat with water resistance up to 100 meters and a bi-directional bezel with a 10-minute regatta countdown.
Reference 226659 belongs to the larger Yacht-Master 42 collection. It swaps the sand-blasted bezel in precious metal for a striking matte black ceramic insert with raised and polished graduations. The Oysterflex bracelet is the perfect companion for the white gold case, creating a sportier look than options on metal bracelets.
Rolex Datejust ref. 116139
The Rolex has always been closely associated with high style and class, featuring a catalog ripe with elegant wristwatches coveted the world over.
