SORRY GUYS FOR NOT SHOWING THE CLEANING. IT'S SOMETHING I WANT TO START DOING IN PRODUCT REVIEWS IS TALK AND SHOW CLEANING. top comes off and it cleans easy. especially since it's coated with butter. hahaha. no sticking food ever
Have had one of these for over 15 years and LOVE it!
I think you should including cleaning. Like how easy or difficult it is to clean all the products after use.
I have used the Whirley Pop before. I found it to be EXCELLENT at making popcorn. Too bad we had a small kitchen and couldn't store this one-use device. You've inspired me to go buy a new one, now that we've moved in to a bigger house. Thanks Jack!
I've had a Whirley Pop for 4-5 years now, and I like it. If you're going to use it often, I'd recommend getting the lid that has the steel gears. The plastic ones don't last very long. You can get plastic replacement gears, and if I remember correctly, the company sends them free of charge, but you pay the postage. But neither my husband or I were able to put the replacement gears on. So I finally gave in and bought the lid with the steel gears. One other thing, if you purchase The Whirley Pop locally (I used a Bed, Bath, & Beyond coupon and bought mine there), you get a voucher for free popcorn to be shipped to you, and you have to pay postage on it.
I got one of these as a kid (more than 10 years ago) and I absolutely loved it. I used it all the time, whenever I had friends over. I love it
That worked better than I thought. I usually pop my popcorn in a cast iron but I do get a few un-popped kernels
had one as a child and loves it
Mom still makes popcorn with one of the old ones. I'm convinced its the best way to make popcorn.
Works great mine is about 15 years old and still working great. Easy to clean lid comes off. Love mine
This device is worth every penny. Use Flavacol and cold pressed coconut oil...amazing!
We LOVE this. Makes the best popcorn!!!! We just use plain pop corn and add our own butter
I love popcorn and I love Whirley Pop. Once you try it, you won't go back to microwave corn. Also, you don't need much oil nor expensive corn to make a fine treat. Thanks for your review ...
Outstanding. I thank you for your product reviews. Much appreciated.
We've had our Whirley Pop for several years, and I would NEVER go back. Use 1/2 cup of popcorn, 2 Tbsp of coconut oil, and 1 tsp of Flavacol, and you will have real authentic movie theater popcorn in about 2-3 minutes. It's the best! Be careful trying to turn the crank if it starts to get hard to turn. We broke ours. But the good folks at Wabash Valley Farms have a 25 year warranty on Whirley Pops, and sent us a replacement part pronto!

Jack Fan it's a butter-flavored salt
I have one of the Whirley Pops and I absolutely love mine. Trader Joe's sells a rather large bag of organic popcorn kernels for $1.99. I use a cap full of vegetable oil and a half cup of kernels for each batch. :)
Jack I've had one of these for years and yes it does work great and the popcorn is terrific.
Had one of these for years love love it!
I've had this popper for years. To me, it's better than any popper. The taste of the popcorn depends on the type and quality of popcorn you buy.

ntexas100 How does the popcorn supplied with it taste?
I bought one of these kits at Target for just $ 8.99 plus tax It's very good! Highly recommend..
Used this as a kid, loved it then-didn't know it still existed. My Brother got the old one, this one looks a little thinner than the older ones.
Very cool you demo this as seen on TV stuff. Love my Whirleypop. Works fantastic!!
Thank you for correcting some viewers. Theirs so many negative people in your comment section. I don't understand why, but I enjoy you content...Keep up the great work Jack!!! All good in my book :)

There's correcting people and then there is justifying using it wrong, he's doing the latter. But what would you expect from a person who is clearly delusional.
Thanks Jack for showing! Going to purchase one!
we love ours! it was an awesome Christmas gift last year
You should do a holiday popcorn recipe. Like homemade multi flavor tins (chocolate, cheddar, kettle, etc.) I liked this video
3:33 THAT'S THE SOUND OF THE DRIVE IN THEATRE! LET'S ALL GO TO THE LOBBY!
I have one of these and I Love it! you can find popcorn cooking butter or oil in some stores. if you want healthy you can use just vegetables oil, and it works the same.
I use the pot I make spaghetti to pop popcorn. Works for me, but it does require a little technique.
Thanks for the review! I love popcorn, so this sounds ideal.
Ooooh, I want one. I love making popcorn at home
I got one of these over 20 yrs. ago. It always popped great but was a pain to clean. Especially the bottom of lid. I use an air popper now. Soak the kernels, in water, 10 min. before popping for best results.
I have had one of these for years, and I absolutely love it. I also use coconut oil for a healthier choice but it tastes good. Walmart should be getting these in for Christmas if they don't have it already.

Great review Jack!! This will be perfect for my hard to shop for family! Thank you!!!
My grandparents have one of these! It's so awesome and easy to use. I usually keep turning until I can't turn it any more.
I have had ours for 2 years or more and it works great...Just like yours jack it pops right down to the last few kernels and taste awesome....My wife and girls like the kettle style popcorn...I like the original popcorn...Have a great day Jack...
How much are the bags?
This product is so awesome!!!...Got the "Glaze Pop" mix for the caramel corn, and it really is so easy and addicting...😊
I have been using one of these for many years I have different flavors to add I have made kettle corn in mine I have 3 kids my girl and myself and we watch TV or movies and occasionally the dogs join us they don't get much but this is a great product to have
Best popcorn ever!!!
This makes me wish the drive in was still open. We have one of these type poppers and they are great.

i use the Stir Crazy and it works great for me, just use snappy coconut oil and melt your butter separately.
Mmm looks so good right now! Does home made popcorn taste better than the bags you just microwave?
Thank you for this Jack! I bought one for hubby for xmas. I'm glad it worked so well. Hopefully no burned popcorn smell ever again. He once set microwave popcorn on FIRE! I kid you not. I'm just hoping he can use this, lol. He could burn water I swear. Love the show Jenn
I need this in my life lol keep up the awesome videos Jack ❤️
Does it taste like it's from the theater? And if I buy this what kind of kernels should I buy and what flavacol
No high end home theater you install in your basement is complete without this Whirley-Pop
Wow thats the most impressive thing Ive seen with popcorn. Barely any kernels?!?!! Amazing. I might get this for my parents aha.
Hey jack where did you buy the Christmas story lamp?
looks cool jack i might get one for chirstmas maybe
a friend of mine got this as a wedding gift....it worked good....I much prefer the kettle popcorn maker I bought
Perfectly popped. Nice 🎁.

Cooking With Jack Show For coffee purposes the hot air poppers may work better, but this should work fine. I'm using the Genie Cafe, a significantly more expensive method. Check out my favorite vender...www.sweatmarias.com
I have had one for years! So much better than microwave popcorn!
Love mine. Got one for a buck at a yard sale and one for about $5 at a flea market. Clean ups a breeze. Never tried their popcorn mix. Its about $23 at farm n home stores. it would be well worth the original price. Great videos. lovem..
I had one similar to this popper. It did not work so well with the popcorn sold in stores. The replacement popcorn is not cheap.

I have one of these. It works great with the $2 bags of store brand popcorn sold at Kroger. It's premium corn at a bargain price. The yellow type is best in this popper and I get perfect results every time. The name brands of corn at $6 a jar might be better but if the $2 store brand works fine, that's all I need. There are cheaper name brand that come in bags. Popsrite is one. Those are are really terrible in my experience and don't pop well in anything.
What's that little red dot shining on your apron as seen around 5:24 ?
THAT IS PROBABLY THE BEST PRODUCT YOU HAVE TESTED.
Great demo! I am now on my third whirleypop, as that the first 2 were aluminum and despite how much I tried to take care of them, they still rusted. I now have their stainless steel model, that which by the way, cannot go into the dishwasher, as that there is an aluminum core. Try scrubbing and washing a piece of aluminum cookware and then trying to dry it, it's preposterous! Good thing I have stainless steel, that which has to still be washed by hand, because of the aluminum core, but that the stainless steel will not rust. Also, that what you thought was butter, is actually either coconut oil, corn oil or a blend of the two.

Good to know
3:45 That's what she said...😂😂😂 But I like this, I think I'm gonna try and pick one up.
I've never seen all the kernels popped either. 👍🏻
i got mine at a garage sale about 6 or 7 years ago. looked old at the time so i have no idea how long this thing has been around, but after i got it i never make popcorn with anything else. i got no instructions with it so i had to play it by ear. i would cover the bottom with veg or corn oil, then cover the bottom with a single layer of popcorn then set the stove to low medium heat and wait for it to start popping before i cranked that little handle, i would stop when i got resistance. does the trick every time.
this past Christmas i git 5 of these from where i worked so i just re-gifted 4 of them (hope nobody who i know sees this) lol
That worked good!
Oh, yes. It too is one of my favorite things in the kitchen. It isn't induction stove compatible. I'm still searching for one that works with the induction stove. Using one of those adapter disks to place between the induction stove and pot is unsafe and doesn't work right; it overheats and errors out the stove. Still, I can use the popper on the grill or when camping, so that's the only non-induction pot I have kept! That's how wonderful a gadget that is.

Jack, how is it to clean? wondering if you can take out the stiring mechanism to clean it.
@ClydeCyanide

It's very easy to clean, it's not a string but a thick wire/small rod, they use to have a thicker metal but it wore out the bottom after a year. oh and its attached to the lid, but it wipes down very easily.

:O I need one!... my dad and I are huge fans of pop corn ^_^...
ur awesome.. God bless
love my whirlry pop!! I haven't seen you use a Kitchen Aid mixer, but if you have one can you do a product review on the pasta and ravioli attachments? Thanks!!!
Seems legit, but I prefer the electric air poppers.
Waiting for someone to tell Jack he didn't use this product correctly because there were no kernels left in the pot. Love your product reviews!
My grandma and mom had this years ago.

Cooking With Jack Show Thanks
I just started making popcorn on the stove just w/ a heavy bottomed pot, so much better than that microwave stuff. With a regular pot you just have to shake or rock the pot until it finishes popping.
Popcorn fanatic here and will be buying this thanks for reviewing it. You need an affiliate link for amazon so you can get some coins when we purchase :)

Whirley Pop is the greatest thing for popcorn ever. Makes great kettle corn. Just add some sugar to the salt and oil.
What I like about aluminum is that it heats up so much quicker than stainless steel!
Hey Jack, I have a couple of those I found at Good Will. I gave, ? $8 each for them. I like it better than the microwave bags. As far as the popcorn and I have tried the store brands to the more expensive brands. Sometimes you will get some that will pop up like in your video and other times not so much. As far as the salt and butter people will have to find what taste good to them. Since I bought mine used I had no idea that you could buy the premixed packages. But I bet that you can buy the salt, and the oil and real butter cheaper. I coat the bottom with the oil and some salt. When it gets hot add the butter. Then a 1/2 cup may be a little more popcorn. I rotate the crank and shake the kettle. just be careful not to shake it apart. One last thing once that stops popping you have to get it out of the kettle Quick, or it will burn. So, have a big bowl ready.
I've watched a ton of your videos for a while and I realized I was no longer subscribed to you? That's so weird... glad you randomly popped into my feed again.

looks awesome, but I'll wait till i can catch it on sale, as my kids love popcorn.
The Amish popcorn would be great in this as their popcorn kernels are truly good.
