This is a simple, short, and sweet song. Vocally Marco is doing things he rarely has on display, delicate and tender. And a judicious choice of a backup singer for this track does not hurt at all 😉 (seriously, I would pay good money for an album length recording with vocals consisting only of Floor's oohs and aahs). PS. I like your reading selection there on the piano.

One off my favorites songs. Love the harmonies and Troy with the ebow!!! 🥰

The movie is called "Lieksa" in Finnish. Lieksa is a town and municipality (about 11 000 people) in the North Karelia region in Finland, next to the Russian border. Lots of wilderness, vast woodlands, marsh and waterways. Not the best movie by Markku Pölönen, but beautiful landscapes and good music.

It's such a nice trip going along the concert with you as you discover it! You're a wonderful reactor and seem like a genuinely lovely person overall, thanks for sharing your musical journeys with us 🤘

This song was recorded during the transition between singers. It was put out online on a collection of demos and B-sides called 'The Sound of Nightwish Reborn'. The band was not particularly happy about it but they had no control over it.

Congrats, your reaction made me emotional as much as the song itself, so good to see your happiness tasting those emotions in a so vulnerable way 🙂

Yes ... it is a movie song (mainly by Tuomas)...done for movie "Lieksa". Originally without guitar and female voice. There is awesome video with some movie clips included and gives an idea of the movie mood too. They can all do different roles what comes to singing also Troy...in the new album specially one can note that...Tuomas has designed those songs and soundscapes and the sound tech adjusts the mics etc. based on the lead singer and the level needed. That is pretty much sound engineering. Wonder who can sing this after Marco?

If the beat of the last 40 seconds at the end of the vocals could go on for few more minutes would be great. Beautiful song and performance. Troy sounds amazing on the guitar and to me it works better then a violin would in that setting. Thank you for another lovely review.

It's a beautiful song! Only Marko can say his backup singer is Floor. My only complaint about this performance is that the last section with Troy playing the e-bow is too short. On a different note, during this performance, Emppu took his time backstage to stock-up on guitar picks and beer.

Floor's ability to be as strong as she is, and she is, while still being "just" counterpoint on this one, is just pure fucking gold.
