We don't have to imagine it. Just trust in Toumas, he will make a correct choice. And we will hear it. It is not the first hard time in history of Nightwish. All we have to do is lean back and enjoy the ride.

Troy is playing the violin part with the e-bow and I think it’s stunningly good. I made a extended version for myself with extra reverb.

The deepest meaning a song could have... Just express your feelings to your loved ones, while you still have a chance to do so. Because when the farewells come, we always wish we could have said "I love you", just one more time...

Man, the duet of Marco and Tarja during Phantom of the Opera was pretty damn amazing as well. It's amazing - Nightwish with Tarja and Nightwish with Floor sound so different, and yet both are just as amazing in their own right. They sound different, but neither any less impressive.

I have almost every nightwish album, and this song is still one of my favourites. I feel you can always pick the truly great songs, because they are the ones that makes you feel uncontrollable emotion every single time you hear the song without fail - and this is one of those songs. There are maybe a handful of songs outside of nightwish that have that affect on me.

I was looking for a comment on how surprisingly solid his bass-playing is even while singing. Something I think is not as easy as it might look. Even professional players like him usually have one or the other suffer a little, but he just knocks it out of the park. Marco is one of the most solid musicians I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.

Well he has been singing and playing bass since the early eighties with Tarot.. most people seem to forget that he had a long and succesfull career long before Nightwish. There is a long standing rumour that he was one of the final top 3 vocalists considered to replace Bruce Dickinson when he left Maiden.

@@pirkkaruuska5766 Here's the thing about doing that, playing an instrument and singing at the same time, some people just can't do it no matter how long they've played, some people can do it to a degree, and then there's the people who can do insanely complex stuff with their instrument and it doesn't affect their singing at all, and just nail both things at the same time. I'm unfortunately in the camp of people who can maybe do it to a degree, as long as I keep it simple on the guitar, I can do it, but anything complex just results in a train wreck and it's something that I just haven't able to figure out how to overcome that obstacle.

The best version of this great song ever. I was at Wembley that night and the concert was fantastic. Every time I play the DVD the hairs on my arms stand on end. Met Tuomas at breakfast the following morning at the Wembley Hilton - awesome!!

There's this adorable Video on here where he sings a Metallica lullaby to Jukka's baby daughter... his voice is just as soft there as when he sings this song❤️

Here I sit, a grown-ass man, and tears are running down my face. It doesn‘t get much better than this. Marco‘s and Floor‘s harmonizing is out of this world. This is what I‘ll show to people when I want to explain synergy...

The only way this could be better would be if it were a bit longer. This song is far too good to be so short.

Nightwish : the angels came on the Earth and decide that drums, guitars and keyboard are better then harps. Greetings from Italy. In this dark and hard times, we have to build our own Walden and together we slay another fright. I wish I could see Nightwish concert at Milan, in December 2020 as scheduled. I really need to think that it will be possible.....

Oh, that`s a day with all the best and worst of life. Hold on.

I knew about the existence of Nightwish since about 20 years ago, but never really listen to them. Since about a week ago though, I gave them some of my time, and now I can´t stop listening to them. They are truly magical, this song just made me cry a little. That´s not easy. The chemistry between their bandmates and specially between Marco and Floor when they sing, it´s something out of this world. Hands down to Nightwish.

I´m having that experience right now, "found" them about a week ago and now i´m completely hooked. The amount of talent in this band is insane.

I don't see this song often enough on reaction channels. For some reason, people always recommend "The Islander." While that's a great song, I prefer this one. I think it shows more of Marko's abilities, and it's just a more interesting and emotional song.

I'm thinking if you have the violin parts done with the electric guitar in a more aggressive way, if you really go to town with it, you'd make it even better, but, honestly, it's stunning as-is. One of my favorite songs by the band ever, and I've been a fan since I was a kid when Wishmaster came out. Amazing.

The addition of Troy has been a definite step in the right direction. Nightwish don't have to be heavy all of the time. This number and Sleeping Sun being another fine example that they don't. Troy has brought in a greater diversity. His guitar work here is quite simply stunning. He can play heavy too.

This is and has to be one of the most talented group of musicians in the rock world. Just amazing.

How humble Floor is, great harmony and carrying Marko all along

Definitely one of their best performances ever - though I can't say it proves that its their best lineup ever. I would argue that their Phantom Of The Opera (End of an Era) performance sits at the top along with this one and Poet and the Pendulum (Wacken). I can't seperate those three performances - they are all perfection in my eyes.

What great stuff from Finnland. I am 60 years old and listen to the great bands of my time. But this is great music. I didnt know before.

I found this by chance. I left KZread to run on my TV while I went about my chores. I left it running on some Nightwish songs, then this popped up. It stopped me dead in my tracks and I had to sit and watch. My eyes filled with tears with the combination of Marco’s voice and Troy’s guitar. Absolutely wonderful sounds. Tuomas is a musical genius. His music is so emotional. I love it. 💖

One of the Nightwish - songs that clearly belong to Marko. Can't imagine singing it from another person. Yes, Floor add's something with her voice too (as in the original Annette was the main singer and also Tuomas sang) but this song without Marko? No way ... Hope he's coming back one day!
