@@Jetsetradio I had the same thought as well, but then I just realized that Jeanne and Mash Fulfill the role better than Ganesha could. The two fit the same role, but Jeanne is just objectively better IMO. That's why my only choices that was Okky, got swapped as I got her this new year, now am gunning for Drake with Nightingale second and Ganesha third.

@@MuhammadKharismawan iirc, the only advantage is moon cancer star weight is low, whereas ruler is high, which can complicate matters if your dps doesn't have good star weight/star gather in their kit.

I didn't know she was Sawashiro. I still rolled for her in the past, and didn't get her, and it wouldn't change my decision this time. But I will definitely consider that in the future.

As an Arjuna fan it does kinda hurt to know that Arjuna isn't the hottest pick here (even after his buff coming soon), but it's also completely understandable too. If you're a new account just straight up go for the best picks (mainly Waver), having an easier time in this game is a lot more preferable than trying to struggle with your favorite character, you can still bide your time and get them eventually on a focus while still having a good backbone to most comps rather than having someone (be it Arjuna or others in the lower end of this tier list) that needs specific supports to them and doesn't shine in a lot of situations.

@@astroboy6203 he's still excellent once you have a fair share of good supports. Granted this is the case with most units, but he can shine very brightly in CQs or attrition fights, especially since he never has to worry about ailments.

I mean if a person is using Arjuna, they'd also use Double Merlin as support so the 1 turn duration of his buff won't really matter... and his second skill effects simply beats Garden of Avalon in every single effect after rank up

@@sanjeevsinghrajput5593 I generally prefer Tamamo+Merlin, that way the party's CDs are a lot less and Arjuna's abundance of Arts cards are a lot meatier when hitting, it makes a huge difference with her buffs. Same can be said for a spare few just running Tamamo and Merlin though, especially in longer fights, they're just good together (at least before Castoria arrives and changes everything).

I hate that i've been Waverless for 3 years since I want Nightingale, Achilles, or Europa for collection reasons. I really need a 50% charger

As an side note to video, Tamamo is a favorable pick for another reason, if one has an Account filled with high quality Arts Loopers like Spishtar or Sitonai: she effectively functions as 'Arts Insurance' for the Castoria Meta. Or in other words, the foxy lady can serve as your main enabler for Arts Looping if you can't get the sword fairy or have all the luck of thrice cursed crook with bad karma with your pulls. Together with Paracelsus (or Nero Bride, for some) and virtually any 50% CE (Especially Arts ones like Painting Summer, or the likes of Magical Sapphire) you have the makings of a more than half-way decent Arts comp with a Support Castoria and your preferred looper. Sure, you have to use a plugsuit to make it happen with most Loopers, and spread out the Mats to kit out two Casters, but it's either that or not having all an easy in to the Arts Meta, so you work with what you got. In general I say Waver is still the stronger pick that Tamamo for accounts without access to either, but if a given account has a heavy hitting Arts AoE Servant like NP2+ Fionn, Grailed Jason/Salari/Gong, or the likes of Spishtar and Summer Musashi then it maybe a more worthwhile to get Tamamo now and hope/pray you can bag another 50% NP support later (or save your 2nd *5 Ticket for Waver if the fates _really_ have it out for you).

can you help me to decide, i dont have tamamo either waver but i have jealter np1 and kiara np2 both lv 100 and 10 10 10 should i take tamamo for looping with castoria support friends or waver for waver jalter merlin team (i have nightgale 10 10 10 lv 100 too for support that team) im very in doubt what to take note a side i will roll for tamamo vitch (i will save nearly 2k saints quartz for her rn im at 500 without doing lostbell 1,2,3,4,5)

@@user-ky1nx8sl6z First: Who do you like better? If you like playing around with Jalter enough , then pick whomever supports her best. If you like farming with Kiara, then pick Tamamo and start grinding up a Paraclesus. Second: do you hate farming, or find your current set-ups lacking? If so, pick Tamamo in that case, as she + Paraclesus + Support Castoria can enable either your Kiara to clear Calvary or a sufficiently powerful GONG to clear everything else with minimal CE investment. Waver is useful, but if you got the Arts DPS for farming like Kiara and someone else to take care of Knight enemies you don't really _need_ him to succeed. Third: Are you willing to wait awhile? Because if so you can just choose whomever you feel is best for you in the first ticket, and then snag the other choice in the 2nd SSR next year. That, and since you've said that you're saving up for Vitch (Nice choice!) you can do without a Waver until then if you're that confidant and patient you'll get her. Heck, pick up Waver with her too, since she can loop with him + other charge supports depending on what CEs you got and it's timely too.

Waver should be in his own tier above "Top" called "Farming is 95% of the game"

Thank you for opening my eyes to the Chen Gong System! Even with just using double Nero Bride instead of Castoria, Gong loops EVERYTHING. I do have to give Merciless One to my Wave 1 sacrifice (Tamamo) to compensate for Reines's current 30% charge in Wave 2, but Skadi works fine for Wave 3. Waver is going to immediately replace Reines so I can drop Merciless One. I was even able to make a lower powered version that doesn't require any 50% chargers (MLB IE, Tamamo, Nero Bride x2, Reines, Paracelsus with Merciless One). Chen Gong is just amazing and he's solved all of my farming woes.

I’m glad I got Mikon, so I can just get Waver without any remorse and get Cu Alter when the second ticket comes around.

Forgot one of the crazy buffs on Ozzy's NP: the Cooldown reduction for all skills. Because of his pretty great skills, it guarantees a Challenge quest unit with little downsides.

Finally bit the bullet and started playing from scratch yesterday, thanks for the advice, and pulled a Cu alter, Bathory, and Nero on 10 summon tickets today. The luck.

A FGO video from you is like a miraculous oasis in a desert for me, Fino. Sure, there are many others out there, but none like yours.

7:31 I was originally going to get Waver for 50 NP charge then I got Reines where she has same role as her brother so I just need to patient about it, then my next target is Osakabehime because I actually like her gameplay but I got spook by her during the Saber Wars 2 Event, and so destiny provides me a way to get Ganesha with the SSR Ticket.

I'd say still go for Waver. There's a lot of interesting stuff you get access to by having two 50% chargers (3 with outside support). Plus Waver can function as a crit support with his first skill and a star dump CE equipped, something that Reines can't do because she has no crit damage amplifier (and higher star weight to steal more stars too).

But seriously I am long time player so I know how Waver works but I am not even a 3 turn farmer player so having only one 50 NP charge Character is enough for me and since my NA account is already established that I just picked a character that I wanted to get.

Fino remembered how much Jeanne carried him on mistake vs Salter and had to put her in high tier

@@belphy205 As a fellow "Jeanne was my first my 5*" gang, I can relate to this. The problem with me was the game didn't give me any good DPS for nearly 2 years, and she was my only 5* for a year (my second 5* was Da Vinci Caster). So I tackled all of the hard stages with Mash + Jeanne + Medea Lily. It took more than 60 turns for the harder stages lol.

@@justawanderingoldman7699 I am impressed that is some dedication. I got lucky and got Jalter and Raikou soon after. So I was blitzing though story till I hit the brick wall known as Camalot.

I was initially going to pick Brad or Karna, and while having my first SSR AOE Lancer would be nice, Parvati and Valks fill up that farming role nicely. Looks like Drake is gonna be my pick due to lack of a SSR AOE Rider. Thanks for helping me decide Fino, great video.

Okky is a good pick simply because she's a unique tertiary buffer for a buster/quick team IMO, for someone who doesn't have Merlin she's a big blessing when story limit you character choice, I also have MLB KScope so I can get her going pretty fast, her problem is really, like Skadi, neither snowball their NP because their battery is only targetable

Just borrow merlin pepega. It's not even that hard, since sei, penth, Odysseus, Apoc, Erice, Shibata, Fuuma are all quests that are easy/disadvantage Osaka. They also can be cleared by a variety of better options that f2ps can use, like friend merlin. She's not by any means a good pick lol. You can't say "Buster/Quick/Arts" teams, when that's not even how to approach cqs. It's to plan around the node, not make some random card type matching stuff.

I've been mulling over my options and narrowed it down to NP2 Ozymandias, NP2 Enkidu, or just Ganesha as a new servant. It's tempting to get the boost in power from NP1>2 but it's conflicting with event servants being in my roster at NP5 with decent skill levels.

I was initially debating between Artoria and Tamamo, but I'll choose Tamamo because I already have 4 servants with absurd proof requirements for skills (Iskandar, Arthur, Gil, and Musashi)

Three-plus years of low-to-mid-range whaling and I'm still yet to be spooked by Tamamo Caster (Cat on more than one occasion, but not Caster). She still has value even with Castoria, so she'll be my first choice. Though NP2 Artoria Prime was very tempting.

Hey I feel like I lucked out. My three favorite characters (on this list) are mostly good mechanically. Tamomo Waver and Achilles.

Like the logical thing for me to do is probably pick up either tamamo or enkidu but I kinda want to go for europa, osaka or jinako

I already got the top tiers, Artoria, Altera, Enkidu, Karna(spooked me on Musashi yesterday), Achilles, Ozy, and Vlad. This leaves my choices to Mordred, Jack, Batty and Jinako. I have plenty of Sabers that can take Mo's place, Kama at NP2, and before I forget..I got Iskander and Odysseus, as well as an NP4 Helena. So yeah, Batty is actually my best choice.

I was immediately thinking of getting a Caster here, especially since I've been wanting a combat caster for awhile. Currently my Casters are Nero, Murasaki, and Merlin. So I think Xuanzang would be my best bet?? Not sure where Nero and Murasaki stand in regards to their DPS in general, but they're multi NP instead of single which is currently what I lack.

My take, take whatever you like. If thats covered go for Waver If thats covered go for artoria either np1 or any np up if you re set to save for Koyanskaya of light.

between her own NP and the overcharged buff of a Hans, Europa should have no problem surviving enemy NPs, even without her invincible buffs on sounds like a really interesting build-around for story chapters and CQs, far better than 3 turning with Meta supports in any case

So Arjuna is still underwhelming with a Gardens of Avalon in his pocket after the rankup and the 5 turn long Debuff Immunity?

For me, it’s between Ganesha or Jeanne. I like both of them but I don’t know who to choose for now. I’m probably will choose Jeanne for purely she’s a ruler but Ganesha can be good tank as well. For gameplay purpose, i need st caster but idk man. Too many choices

Honestly if u want a ruler just wait till next year da Vinci ruler is an amazing support and does far more than Jeanne

I still have no idea who to pick because I'm only missing Napoleon, Europa, and Arjuna, none of which I particularly want, and everyone else I either have at an NP level where another copy doesn't make much of a difference (especially Tam and Jeanne (both somehow NP5)) or have someone else to fill their niche a bit better considering NP levels - the only exception maybe being Vlad

Oh dang, I had Jeanne picked out as my choice to give myself stall utility months ago, but Reddit convinced me to go with Ozymandias out of a mixture of my only gold single target Rider being Sakamoto and Ozymandias' well-timed skill and NP buffs for the new buster meta. For the next ticket, it'll be a tough call between Jeanne, NP 2 Artoria (whom I've already got at 1000 +2000/+2000), and Drake, as my other 5* Rider is Iskandar, who I like but who lacks a battery.

Isn’t Arjunas second skill strengthening makes him much better now? He can help farm in comps that aren’t running skadi or castoria and he could be helpful in CQs where his NP and another are needed. I don’t think he’s bottom of the barrel anymore. Especially if you’re talking about future things koyanskaya, it’s worth bringing up Arjunas np charge every run for his party on his second skill

Got NP2 Mo-chan from Apo re run, so I'm think if going further beyond (NP3) is worth or if I should just get Jeanne for that sweet sweet tanking power... Guess I'll have to decide by tomorrow lol. In any case, thx for the guide boss!

since I have all of the non-limited support units I was going to go for saber, but Artoria wants like 180+ proof of heroes (I only have like 10), next on my list was Karna but he wants like 216 proof of heroes, so it came down to just picking a unit that I want but wouldn't roll for and on the top of that list was Europa so I guess she is my choice.

I really don't agree with Oki placement, obviously she isn't Merlin or Skadi, but her kit does have some really interesting buff (party wide crit, removing buff, a battery, quick and buster buff), plus she can be really good as a last man or solo servant. She isn't a priority but she definitely is way more useful than someone like Sherazade or Orion.

Me: "OK, i'm either going to get either Altria, Jeanne or Altera" *Rolls standard banner beforehand and gets Altria* Me: *Jaw drops to floor*

Going Orion/Artemis. One benefit of hers is that she's a ST SSR Archer in a field devoid of ST SSR Archers. The others are Squirtoria, who is now only available via GSSR, Moriarty, who is generally considered worse than Arty, and that's it. Plus, she's play well with my 2x grailed Chloe. I hope. But the real reason I'm picking her are Interludes. I'm good in terms of class coverage, so I'm thinking outside of the conventional box.

Probably gonna grab Mo-san to finally get non-Shiki out from the AoE Saber slot, tho once Ibuki Douji comes out that slot might get moved away sooner. Still, after playing from near the start, I have been somehow blessed (or cursed) with NP2 Waver and NP2 Tammy on top of like half the good picks already (Jeanne, Achilles, Np2 Orion, Np3 Jack, NP2 Anastasia)...and Np3 Arjuna :/ . Still kinda wish I could've just gotten Osakabe or Jinako since I'm really feeling those Megane vibes but I guess the Hikki Girls just ain't hanging with me no more and I NEED my Saber of Red

I'm a seasoned fgo player and I still think getting a Ascension level 1 and bond level 5 is really difficult if you actually have a life outside of playing the fucking game. Alas, I'll probably pick Mordred and attempt to get her requirements done so I can keep it.

Defaulted to Tam. Already got Waver, Jeanne, Enkidu, Jack and Xuanzang. NP2 AA and NP3 Spishtar so I don't really have any pressing AoE needs. For ST...I got Caesar(NP4 Diarmuid also for some reason), Santera, Cu(Kenshin once DCS?), Xuanzang(maybe Casterdouji once DCS?), Yoshi, Kama, and NP3 Nyalter. Huh. Going off advice, I spent most of my early account resources and rolls on support units. So I'd gotten Waver, Merlin, Skadi already and now Tam via ticket. And in turn I don't really have too many high rarity damage options with a bunch of NP levels behind them, particularly on the ST side...I've been getting by fine, but it does feel kinda weird how much more value investing in supports first has had.

It's all Tamamo for me. To this day I still don't have her (only just got Waver by accident last year, even), and the only one reliably on my friend list is Six, but he's not always available, so multi-class fights that I can't think of anything better than trying to win neutral with Vlad or BB fall flat. With my own Tamamo, I'll actually be able to do some of those things when Team Skadi just doesn't work well (like most all CQs).

I am running. Heracles, saber astolfo, Romulus, Santa nightingale, and nitocris. I need advice as to who could better this team as I don't know what I'm doing

Quite surprised to see Vlad in medium. What with the Arts meta looming over us, I thought he'd be a pretty good pick. Enkidu has received enough buffs that he's borderline busted. The def-down, mana burst and semi-spammable NP can soundly destroy any archer.

The thing about Vlad is that hes in a similar position to Dantes pre-Skadi right now. He's an investment. With the advent of Castoria and Append skills his real estate spikes dramatically in my opinion (hes not obscenely broken but he can do beeg numbers) and with the advent of his second np upgrade he *finally* gets proper upgraded scaling on his NP along with an Arts resis debuff. That makes Vlad into a comparable NP spammer like Okita or Nero Bride where he can just keep ramping up with each NP making the next even stronger. In addition to that hes a fairly decent survival berserker between charge drain, defence, and a 2 time guts post Apoc upgrade. (He does lose out to Cu alter tho because PFA). With Mad Enhancement EX and a hybrid deck Vlad can even work in pseudo jank setups with meta and budget buster/arts supports. All that said the thing about Vlad is that he is still a sizeable investment. Put in the effort and he will pay dividends. Mine is fully grailed, lored, np3, and almost fully gold fou'd and he does tremendous work. But you have to be willing to make him a core attacker.

@@philipraphaelw9492 np1 vlad does not hit as hard as youd want him to, I'll say that, especially right now on NA. With his second upgrade he'll hit pretty decent. I'd say Jeanne is the better objective pick, she lets you weather a lot of storms. However if you think you can make Vlad a solid attacker (you dont need to go as far as I did with grails and such, i just like Vlad) then you get a pretty solid near universal attacker that synergises with a fair few meta and sub meta characters. Tamamo and Nero Bride can make him a star even now.

I would actually say that Arjuna is the best of the Archers, his buffs on JP are pretty powerful. However... with all the other options in this GSSR, he's not that high tier unless you love him.

What SSR ticket? I just woke one day and Jeanne was already in my Chaldea fully leveled and with bond 5.

i got castoria and Koyanskaya, now i don't know if i should get waver or tamamo... or if i should go for an extra copy of enkidu

I almost wish that I hadn't gotten Tamamo last year since that would have made this unbelievably simple. But with that being said I'm still mulling a bit. Missing Napoleon, Achilles, Europa, Orion (not the great one), Bradamante, Xiang Yu, and Jinako. Will probably just take Achilles since he was pretty cool in Apocrypha and in the parts of FGO that he's appeared in. Jinako is cool because Aoi Yuuki. But already got Okita so I've got someone she's voicing anyways.

picked Vlad and now he can hit less like a potato now (he was np1 for the longest time, so I needed to upgrade his np to help out with his overall capabilities and I grailed him to level 100) other account picked Arjuna because of 2 reasons: 1) I am kind of sick of np3 Artemis being the only other archer ssr on that account and 2) I have Karna and wanted to reunite the two :)

Jeanne or Tamamo for me... can't say i've ever badly felt the need for jeannes kit so probably tama for the arts support and the vitch fights,

Already got Tamamo so I'll go with Jeanne D arc so that my Jeanne alter won't go lonely without her vanilla self.

I'm back and forth with tamamo or going for np2 vlad. Castoria release seems like vlad would be better, but not sure if better than the old np lock with vlad tamamo waver.

If you don't have Tamamo, get Tamamo. If nothing else then she + Paracelsus can function as a backup for specific Arts Loopers, and as Fino said Tamamo is great for grindy battles.

We're getting another fre ssr ticket down the line anyway, so personally I'm picking Tamamo now to have something to work with when Castoria comes out. Sorry Waver, you're gonna have to wait until next time

Jeanne is a great wall for stall battles and cq while ozymandias gets better with his np and first skill buff to make him an absolute nuke. I would choose Jeanne as a np 2 Jeanne will make her a juggernaut while np 1 ozymandias is fine as his kit does all the work for him. But either way you can get them both with the SSr ticket and second one.

Jeanne would be better to get now and hope for a spook on both as she'll be a super tank while ozymandias is fine that way. St riders are easy to come by so a good tank would be better overall. But either way. Do what you like as long as they make you happy.

which one is worth leveling up NP or just get new servant that that probably usefull on some point ?

I promised Jinako that I would use this ticket to summon out Karna if she was summoned. Unfortunately I made a similar promise to Yu Miyaoi that I would summon Xiang Yu asap....cause I did not realized he was summonable by this ticket. Oops.

Okki needs arts buff added and cooldown reduc on np, making her a rainbow crit and sustain focused support. Improve her battery a bit and she'd be in ship-shape.

Honestly i would just make her defense buffs be for the whole team instead of herself, and maybe an increase on battery and she would be amazing.

I was thinking Achilles or Ozymandias, but I've been thinking about how I 'need' Waver, so generic caster support it is.

Im not sure if I should pick Jeanne or Arthuria? For ruler I have Amakusa Shirou For saber I have Astolfo Got Waver, Mikon, Ozy, Enkidu, Jack, Vlad, Xuanzang, Karna and Xiang Yu already Only Saber and Ruler seem a bit weak as only have 1 5star servant of each

You won’t stop me from picking Jack not after all the times I’ve rolled for her and failed

Dont know if i will go for more np on Artoria (np4) or if i get Brada just to have her

There must be a use for Tamamo with Double Castoria to boost Arts output even more. Muramasa, Spishtar, Umu Bride just to name a few.

Jinako is actually pretty solid imo. Yeah, her damage isn’t amazing, but she’s easily one of the best tanks in the game. Friend Jinakos helped me out a lot in many boss fights, even on my less developed JP account. If you like her and want to pull her, she can do work. Even before her buff.

Artoria supremacy is top tier even if u have Arjuna Alter like I do

Imo, I wouldn't say Jeanne is a top pick simply because in 3 months, castoria comes out and she does Jeannes job, a charge offensive arts support and the only things that are lost is the small heal and the defensive buff but you gain true invulnerability along with a huge attack buff but if anyone sees this, lemme know if I'm capping or not

Its a mixed bag. On one hand, Castoria allows you to basically ignore 1 attack or np without much repercussion (few exceptions). However, thats the problem, its only 1 hit. Sure, overcharge could help but thats rather outlandish to setup. Jeanne can however help your team survive consecutive attacks/np's. The problem is she lacks the steroids Castoria brings which could mean the fight would last longer and a longer fight means more room for error and ultimately failure. TLDR; Castoria is probably the better pick simply by virtue of being able to end fights quicker. Survivability doesnt matter when the enemy is dead before they can strike after all. So yeah Jeanne in the long run might not be the best pick. Also kind of weird how they haven't buffed her signifcantly whatsoever after having her niche stolen by Castoria.

If you can get her... for a non whale, getting an SSR is up to RNG will. I still remember back then before Skadi came, a lot hyped up by recommending good Quick servants. I somehow managed to get nearly all of those good Quick servants, but I failed to get Skadi... Now all of those Quick servants are for collection purpose only... My point is, saying a Servant is obsolete just because there will be a better servant coming in the future is only a whale's thing. F2P need to grab any kind of way to improve their rooster. From my experience of using Jeanne as my only SSR for nearly 2 years, I can say that Jeanne can help even the weakest team to clear harder contents. It will take a lot of turns tho lol. And having both Castoria and Jeanne isn't a bad thing either IMO.

i got Tamamo,Merlin,Skadi and Nero Bride so im really keen on picking Waver as someone who has been Waver-less for 3 years. my NP2 Spishtar could easily fill the gaps on loop farming so aside from wanting Bradamante for collecting reasons, i think imma settle on Waver.

Waver is definitely a must-have. At least up until Castoria comes out and possibly beyond, he's easily the most versatile if not completely broken like Castoria, Merlin, or Skadi. The kindest to all victims of the RNG God.

@@dangeorge809 yeah i was considering how i would deal with castoria too coz of f2p reasons. i barely played last year and even these past few months so i have barely saved some quartz. i really regret using about 270+ quartz and 20+ tickets from the very first Bradamante banner coz i lost my motivation after that.
