Most of the times, Mario's only choice of weapon for killing is his pair of brown shoes. And yet Link's array of weapons, including the Master Sword, makes the most sense.

Realistically, some of these kills would be reduced because the characters come back like with Mario the koopalings are boss battles in multiple games. Plus with some characters it’s never said if they’re actually confirmed to be dead

We can assume since they were never shown again those bosses have died (we can't rely on Nintendo because they don't care for these characters). The Koopalings should be counted at least once since they were implied to be killed in Super Mario World and Bowser definitely died once or twice, especially shown in New Super Mario Bros DS before the final battle.

To be fair, Bowser was killed in New Super Mario Bros. DS, but they were brought back by Bowser Jr. pretty quickly, and then Bowser after that point would still be reduced to a skeleton, but would still be alive, in the form of Dry Bowser

I'd honestly go as far as to say Kirby has the most kills. If you took the time to count ever enemy Kirby swallowed through the series, even with the rules set by Nintendo Unity, it would be higher that everyone else. If they didn't die on the way in, they died later on from starvation.

By that logic, every character has an absurd amount of kills. You can simply kill infinite Skulltulas or Octoroks in Zelda, infinite Ings, Geemers and Sidehoppers in Metroid, infinite Mechons and Krabbles in Xenoblade and so on

You could say the same thing for any character if their game has an infinite spawning enemies, so that automatically makes it inconsistent. In fact, Samus should have the most kill counts rather than Kirby, because in nearly every game a planet she explores always explodes in the end, so that makes millions of creatures inhabiting those planets, and bosses, dead.

Enemies only exist from a gameplay perspective. I highly doubt that a being of positive emotion that's always willing to help would actually be going around eating everyone. Plus external media like mangas confirm that the enemies Kirby eats don't die

Counterpoint for Inkling Agent 3 (Splatoon 1) and Agent 4 (Splatoon 2) are different people, so it's 4 kills each.

Same can be said about Zelda Sometimes more than 1 game have the same Link but mostly they are different people

i wish there was an easy tier list of which character had most kills per game :( i think samus has the most at ~16 but still would be nice to have it laid out

@@zeospark9715 While Itoi did say that the ending was for the player to decide what happened, realistically the world did end: Everything was burnt to a crisp and natural disasters destroyed what was left of the Earth. In the end screen there is dialogue that hints towards how no one should have lived and how it was a miracle. With no physical representation of what’s happening on screen apart from names and text, I believe that everyone ended up dying and transcended to the afterlife or something similar. We also don’t know how many people were truly in the end screen, so even if we were to presume that “they” did survive, many other people like the Pig Masks and even the inhabitants of New Pork City aren’t represented here. Considering that these two groups make up hundreds of people alone, we can assume that even then Lucas would have the highest kill count. Good job Lucas.

@@thatonelad9416 Even then, that is still only one theory as to what happened at the end, as the game's ending is indeed ambiguous, which was Itoi's intent as mentioned. Who knows, maybe there WERE pigmasks in the ending; we can't see who is being talked to and seeing as even Porky in his capsule was in it and that the pigmasks are all humans too (confirmed by Apple Kid in Lydia's house and one of the Tazmily adults Lucas knows being in uniform in New Pork City), it's not safe to assume that they were all killed by the needle pulling. If we're talking story bosses that leave a distinct corpse from getting beat up by Lucas and co. instead of just fizzling out or self-destructing, then Lucas's real kill count would be at 3. Besides, if we were to count random mooks that get beat up throughout the journey, Ness would beat Lucas for this simple reason: Sword of Kings. /s

In Splatoon 2 Neo Octostomp said "i'm baaack" meaning he's the same enemy, just upgraded

Mario probably has the highest death toll due all the Goombas he's stomped ok throughout the years.

You can't really define who has killed the most by that logic. Because then Link has also killed so many Octoroks, Samus has destroyed so many Geemers, Shulk has killed so many Mechons, you can just reload an area in a game and kill each enemy again, and there are too many of them - basically infinite. This is why counting common enemies would just completely disregard the list.

You're saying Kirby inhales so many enemies, Samus literally blows up 5 planets with millions if not more creatures on them. We can't really go by that logic to define most kills.

@CreepCalamity Again, not an appropriate measure. Because you don't know the actual population on said planets. The data provided for comparison is far too varied and unknown to get close to any kind of assumption. We can't know that the combined population of those 9 planets is for sure greater than the 5 planets. I didn't even mention that when Phaaze was destroyed, it also destroyed every single source of Phazon in the universe, which means every single Phazon organism (like Phaz-Ings, Phaazoids, etc.) in every single corner of the entire universe perished along with it, which alone accounts for billions of billions of kills. Again, the data is unknown so we don't have a proper metric to determine who would absolutely take the crown of most kills.

@CreepCalamity Yes I know, and that was my point that you CAN'T determine who had more kills. I wasn't emphasizing that Samus has definitive more kills, just a factor that increases the unsurity of this discussion even more because we don't have exact numbers.

Technically, inkling’s kills should be split in half. 4 for agent 3 and 4 for agent 4.

Weirdly... Kirby should actually have the least amount of kills if we're going by canon. He actually does a whole lot less killing.

Actually a lot of the character's on Kirby's list are still alive.

Yoshi 46 Kills

1:36 hold on weren't the soul eating monster and pandora killed by dark pit in chapter 22. the whole point of that level was that dark pit had to go to the rewind springs to heal pit's burnt wings after saving him from the chaos kin and the soul eating monster had the whole chase scene after hades was talking with pitoo, and pandora pops out of dark pit once he reaches the rewind springs and fights dark pit.

I wouldn't count a lot of the things done as 'kills' for quite a few of the characters, especially Kirby cause we know for a fact several of the named characters he defeats survive, some even becoming his friends later, as well as some of them being non-canonical, and some breaking the rules of not counting older games when remakes exist. KDL Lololo, Lalala, and Kracko are counted twice each due to spring breeze in super star. Mr Shine and Mr Bright never died. Nova was heavily damaged but not destroyed irreparably, Marx and Bandana Dee both lived, Marx Soul and wham bam jewel aren't canon. Acro, Pon and Con were purged of their dark matter possessions and were seen alive and friendly after. Dark Meta Knight lived. Stardream and Susie are more to blame for Haltmann's death. Kirby Clash and fighters games are non canon (and Taranza didn't die in them even if they were.) Gorimondo, Clawroline and Sillydillo all are very much alive after Kirby beats them. That's just for the ones I've played there may be more survivors. Also Samus didn't kill Ravenbeak, an X parasite did, and OoT Link didn't kill Phantom Ganon, he didn't die at all, Ganondorf sent him to another universe for being a failure. SHULK ON THE OTHER HAND HAS WAY MORE NAMED KILLS THAN ARE MENTIONED HERE, EVERY MINIBOSS IS A NAMED CHARACTER IN XBC GAMES

But anyway, by today syandards, all of the lords did some other war crimes, such as killing civilians (Edelgard), slavery (Edelgard), buring allies alive (Edelgard), starting a war (Edelgard), torture (Dimitri)...

If that's not what he was trying to do,it should've been made in a way to confirm each character that has multiple versions of them but that would also take a lot longer to talk about them.

To be strict, Almost every Version of Link is another person with spirit of the Hero (basically like in Avatar the Last Airbender where the spirit of the Avatar is in another person). And besides that there are alternate Timelines with alternate Realities and alternate Versions of the Hero inside

@@parstheuntamedrefrigerator2640 Both Hyrule Warriors Games are not canon, Age of Calamity even dumped some Canon elements like for Example the fact that Link in BotW according to Creating a Champion pulled the Master Sword already when he was around the same age as Wind Waker Link.

Either Mario or Kirby has the highest kill count with Mario it's mainly due to him stomping on Koopas and Goombas and with Kirby it's mainly with how many creatures he's swallowed

Enemies only exist from a gameplay perspective. The Mario rpgs make it clear that enemies defeated by Mario are just knocked out. I also highly doubt Mario willingly stomps every enemy in his path and that Kirby goes around actually swallowing every living creature he comes across (not that that kills them anyway)

This makes all heroes and villains like Final fantasy.

I feel like Fox killed a lot more, but we’ll never know since there’s no way to tell how many crew the ships he downed had.

I dont't understand why in Donkey Kong Country Returns there are just Scurvy Crew and Tiki Tong. When you beat the bosses of each world, there is no kill, but when you beat Tiki Tong's hands, you're killing them no? Maybe I'm not understanding it well but I think there are 10.

If you take time to look at Kirby's list 😯 (I'm talking about how strong the ones he killed are).

In most cases, people who return don’t die so you can only count them if their confirmed to die or don’t return in a canon game so no Petey Pirahna Deaths( until NSBDS) and no Octostomp etc: also All of Pikas Titles are not part of the mainline games

Olimar actually doesn't kill the Emperor Bulblax because when it buries itself back underground a soul doesn't show up which usually happens when a boss or any enemy is killed

A Little something about Pikachu he takes out Dark Matter and Bittercold to save to entire pokemon world and only if he's actually selected in Gates to Infinity or Super Mystery Dungeon and the Void Shadows kinda were gonna kill you if you didn't fight back and they only faint. So Pikachu only has 3.

The highest death count has to go to Mario or Samus. The amount of little goomba heads Mario has to stomp on...Samus literally blew up several planets and a space station, and is not afraid to completely destroy something that gets in her way. Also Kirby deserves his own category, he is a viscous little pink god of destruction with no purpose in mind other than eating and absorbing the power of others that deserves his own tier.

Wasn't it Dark Pit that killed the Soul Eating Monster, or am I thinking of a completely different enemy from Uprising?

As far as I'm aware, Dark pits only kills are the Underworld Gatekeeper from chapter 9 and Amazon Pandora from Chapter 22.

Pretty sure the only things Kirby has actually killed were Nightmare, Dark Matter, Zero, 0², Dark Mind, Dark Nebula, Drawcia, Necrodeus, Sectonia, Dark Crafter, Star Dream (if that even counts since it's a computer) and Fecto Elfilis. A lot of the "kills" clearly weren't actually kills. Like Lololo and Lalala are definitely not dead and characters like Kracko can't even die. They just get defeated

I thought this was going to be a fun video where you actually counted the max amount of enemies that can be killed in a stage or something. Instead you just made this weird rule that redefines “kill” as “defeated named enemy” The list still includes named enemies that are canonically not dead and left out tons that are. You get no dessert.

I dont think they would count it, since they were counting the Inklings and not the Octolings :) Curious about what their number would be, it'd have to be 5 right? The 4 bosses, and Tar Tar (Agent 3 gets knocked out, and Inner Agent 3 is pretty much just a memory from Agent 8)

* Spoilers ahead!!! * Inkling would have 13 kills if we add Splatoon 3 in the list. Kill 1: DJ Octavio Kills 2-4: Deep Cut Kill 5: Mr Grizz However, DJ Octavio and Deep Cut assisted Agent 3 in killing Mr Grizz so technically Inkling would have 9 kills instead, not counting DJ Octavio and Deep Cut. Would you count DJ Octavio and Deep Cut to get 13 or just assume Inkling had 9 kills?
