Thanks for all this info. I am struguling with invert - i keep ending my pozition in the middle (like the egg on the pole). Its a lot more than core strength... i have one question though: is it easer for ppl who are more fit to do the invert? Does it have to do with how much weigth you carry? Thanks in advance🤍

This explanations helps a lot to prevent injury and to work on weak muscles..I can’t invert for my weak right arm. Do you have any tips I can work on to strengthen my arm muscle ? ❤

I can invert but always get my hand stuck. I have trouble scooting my butt up a couple inches higher to clear my hands. So do I do another mini pull up or do I squeeze my glutes and do a reverse crunch? Your explanations are so helpful. It’s just that one little thing with the hand 😂

Ah yeah the old hand stuck.. it can definitely be a part of the process and it's hard to say one way or the other without seeing what it looks like for you! As your invert gets even stronger, and you start to play around with the movement more, you might eventually be able to get up above the hands anyway, but I have a blog post about it (it's about the leg hang, but hopefully might have some useful bits in it for you!): www.thepolept.com/strength-for-pole/pole-invert-secrets-halp-my-hands-are-in-the-way-of-my-leg-hang/ That might give you some avenues to explore! :) x

Bought the book, it doesn’t address the specific areas. I’m stuck with a rounded back when I invert aerially (not so much on the floor though sometimes yes). I need to strengthen lats, erector spinae, and rhomboids/lower and middle traps. The book doesn’t address those specifically for the invert, doesn’t go over trouble shooting. Please make a video with the exercises needed to correct rounded back. So many people struggle with it for years. I don’t understand why there aren’t many videos on conditioning to address that specific issue.

Hey, thank you so much for buying a copy of my book! To be honest, for beginners it's usually combination of all the different areas that I covered in the video, so I wanted to cover everything rather than focus on just one aspect of it. Everything really needs to work together. :) It's awesome that you've identified the part that you need to work on most, though! 🙌 If it's the Strength and Conditioning book you've got, it's the upper body pulling section of the book that focuses on these areas - and particularly the horizontal pulling section. I'd recommend combining that horizontal pulling work with some holds in the chopper position on a stability ball, this allows you to work strengthening that 'perfect' engagement whilst deloading the movement a little (like this but holding the end chopper point for timed holds, focusing on that flat back position: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dZuCtKyrksyTh5s.html ) as well as some work on engagement in thoracic extension, like this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aKSKztF_fKS6qc4.html Hope it helps! Feel free to drop me a message if you have any more questions! x

Hey, so sorry for the slow response! I'm not sure if I understand what you mean but I'd definitely recommend trying and learning the invert on both sides. You'll have one side that feels stronger and more co-ordinated than the other, but as it's such a foundational movement for pole, learning the progressions and building the strength and skill to do it on both sides will help keep you balanced and put you in a good place for advancing your tricks and combos later, too! 💪
