Also an easy sipper, caramel, vanilla and spice forward. Not as sweet but a nice finish with oak, pepper and spice from the heavy char. Terrific on the rocks!
BSB preferred Evan during this tasting overall but very close.

I couldn't agree more with your philosophy, but where I live its (1 L bottles) If you only got $24 (EW bib) this is your guy, if you got $30 (WT 101) this is your guy. I actually cut E/W black label and E/W bib 50/50 and use it for mixers during the week. On the weekends its Rare Breed barrel proof time 🥃 cheers!
These 2 are just about as good or better than those 2x or 3x their price

Absolutely! Most people judge whiskey not by its real quality but by its price and label...
Evan Williams is spicy for sure I can eat pecan pie every day
Fast forward to 2024....a 1.75 L of either of these is $50. Way more expensive than this video purports. Having said that, WT 101 is my go to as far as inexpensive Bourbons. Great video here.

A 1.75 of EW BiB is 35 in my area. I only by 1.75 of EW BiB.
I prefer Wild Turkey 101, but it's close.
Both are great but since I retired I'm going to use my money to buy Evan Williams to double my pleasure
Whether you get Evan Williams bottled and bond or Wild Turkey 101, they are both standards in the industry and you can't go wrong. The EW BiB is priced around 15 for the 750ml and 28 for the 1.75 liter, while most retailers in my area charge more than 25 to 36 dollars for the Wild Turkey. The WT 101 is pricier, but it goes on sale frequently down to the 20 dollar level. The Total Wine store currently has a sale of WT 101 1.75 liter at 30 dollars.

That is a good deal. I’ve seen the 1.75 for $28 a few times but not lately. Got a 750 for $22 the other day
13% rye isn't a high right mash bill!
Oddly if you go for rye Williams has it all
Like EW Bib....Love WT101.
The turkey leaves me lacking I guess it's up to the individual
Price point is not close in July 17 2024 you get 2 times more for money if you buy Evan Williams No squrmish here
I've had both. Evan Williams White label is better
