I had a lot of FlySky RXs and several FrSky SPI RXs. Replaced them all with Express LRS. I added the ELRS tx module to my Jumper Lite and works great! Easy wifi binding, exceptional range and very inexpensive. I don't see how those other protocols can stay around much longer.

i fly planes and recently bought the Flysky x6b because it can output sbus, ibus, ppm, and pwm signals. Some gyros only take in sbus and some only take in pwm. In addition, the x6b has voltage telemetry(1-4s) so my transmitter can just make a sound whenever the plane battery reaches a certain voltage. Cant seem to find an elrs receiver with builtin voltage telemetry.

@@pipoypipoy7796 I get full battery telemetry in my goggles flying with ELRS but I guess it's from the Smart Audio via the VTX. I never flew planes but I was assuming you fly FPV meaning you use goggles, but maybe you are flying Line of Sight and everything is TX supplied. That would make sense then.

Hi, Jerry! Good memory. No, I switched to a Lumix GH5 MkII last summer. Unfortunately I don't have any tripod tips at the moment.

ANT appears to give you the least amount of power consumption, built in sensors, low latency and mid range. Which would be important for a quad user. AFHDS3 is geared for long range, possible high interference environments, and multiple receivers. Which would be important for long range FPV. Both are supposed to use hardware IDs in such a way that you should never have interference from another transmitter. In theory with AFHDS and AFHDS2A it should not happen either but it can, especially high radio congestion environments. Personally I really enjoy the FlySky tx/rx and have never had any issues. I can tell the difference between AFHDS and AFHDS2A as such I limit AFHDS to ground use. I have not purchased an AFHDS3 module or receivers.though I plan to when I start doing longer range/duration flights.

Hey! Thanks for the explanation! That sounds reasonable. It also looks like there are a lot of ground based options for the ANT so maybe that is where the design originated.

Quick question: are all flight controllers compatible with all flysky receivers? Cause I came upon the possibility to buy a used FPV drone, with the issue that they have receivers from other brands or elrs
