If drivers on the left yield to drivers on the right, then the green car would have to yield to the blue car. If drivers turning left have to yield to oncoming traffic than the yellow car has to yield to the blue car also.

This is the correct answer, blue would have priority over green since blue is to the right of it so it has priority, red can go at the same time as blue since it is turning right so will not hold up traffic. Green then goes and yellow completes its turn last.

Yellow should be the last one because she/he is making the left turn. RED is first same as the blue since both of them going different direction. Green should wait blue to cross because of(right of way rule)/ there is a car on it's right. So the order is Red & BLUE, Green & lastly Yellow.

In reality: If green (looking left) and blue (looking straight) both saw red turn right and left at the same time and there was a collision, then blue would be at fault because he didn't yield to the car on his left. The reason that yellow could get away with doing something similar is because green will block blue while yellow is entering the intersection. Blue has no one blocking green, and therefore will be responsible for the collision because blue did not yield to car on this left. Having said that: Green could be an idiot for not stopping at such a slow speed to prevent the collision with the blue bully. IMHO: If blue got hit in the front, then he's and idiot who didn't yield to a car already in the intersection; if blue got hit in the rear, then a bully got hit by an entitled steering wheel holder.

There were 2 reasons. The first was that you could be driving on the main road when a vehicle could suddenly pop out from a side road, dangerous in an area where you were unsighted by buildings. The second was that it had the effect of drivers moving closer towards the middle of the main road to have a slightly better view of traffic approaching on the side road. It's not who "goes" first, it's "who are you yielding to?" Red is yielding to no-one, so goes first. Green is yielding to blue (on their right). Blue is yielding to yellow (on their right). Yellow is yielding to green because yellow is turning left and green is oncoming. So the "deadlock" is broken by green going. This frees up yellow to go. Then blue. Or, long term, replace all the Stop signs with Yield signs and paint a solid white circle in the middle of the intersection, you'd get the same result without the confusion - a mini-roundabout with one rule: yield to your left.

right hand rule, the person on the right has right of way. straight traffic has priority over turns, left turn has lowest priority. in this instance, only to determine who starts this bit. going counterclockwise (yielding to the person on the right of you) around this intersection, the one furthest right not making turns is blue. this will start the ball rolling, with green, red, then yellow following in that order, going clockwise around the intersection. legally only one vehicle has right of way in the intersection at any given time (2 lane roads), the next person. I have no issue if red immediately follows green in the case of expediency however. The truth is, with a vehicle at every point in the intersection, someone is going to say f it and go anyways, or having someone behind the green car try to cut off the the yellow driver making the left when their turn comes along, I see this very frequently at the closest 4 way to my home.

With that in mind, Red can make its turn since it doesn’t impede either Blue or Green. However, based on another video you did on the car turning right getting into an accident with a car that was signaling a turn but went straight instead, why wouldn’t Red have to wait until Blue and Green started to make their moves? So, why isn’t Blue first? It’s to the right of Green (first rule) and isn’t signaling a turn (second rule)?

I need to partially think it is an intersection without priority signs (4 way stop doesn't exist where i live). So who have the right side free is going first, which mean 1) red car. Then is complicated, 3 cars have the right side occupy in any case, but the yellow car is turning left, to do that maneuver he need to occupy the intersection. Without stop sign the green car would have priority, but in this case i think yellow have that, so 2) yellow car. 3) blue car and finally 4) green car. Without stop sign would be 1) red car 2) green car 3) yellow car 4) blue car

    4) I find it difficult to answer. Obviously, the yellow car has the lowest priority, and red shouldn't trust yellow's signal so red should wait anyway, so it's between green and blue since they're both going straight through. Whichever arrived first should go first, but you can't always trust the other driver to abide by that. And if the both arrived at the exact same nanosecond, I guess it's up to them to proceed cautiously and kind'a negotiate with each other. I've been in this exact situation plenty of times at 4-way stops, so that's what you do in real life. You just gotta be considerate and nice.

I'm sorry, but this is not correct. The correct answer is: Blue, Green, Red, Yellow. Since they all arrived at the same time, there was no "right-most" car. Therefore you proceed with cars going straight and remaining on the same road first. This is the blue and green cars. Of these two, the blue car is on the right and therefore it goes first, followed by the green car. Finally, yellow and red are left. They would in practice generally go at their earliest convenience after blue and green clear the intersection, but for specificity, red is on the right (and is making a right hand turn) so it goes next, followed finally by yellow. This is especially true since you shouldn't ever trust another driver's turn signal; yellow may be signaling a left turn, but they may actually intend to go straight, in which case they would collide with red.

This is a 4-Way Stop. because all veheicles MUST stop, there is no yielding of any vehicle to any other vehicle. If all four drivers arrived at the same time, the four of them make an initial agreement as to who will go first (This takes seconds and is informal). After that initial agreement it no longer matters who is turning or going straight. Once the first car goes the right-of-way is established and is always going to be the next car on the right moving clockwise around the intersection. So if Red went first it would be followed by Yellow, Blue, Green. After the car on your right goes, it is your turn. There is only movement of one vehicle in the intersection at a time. An easy way to remember it is in the name, RIGHT-of-way. 4-Way Stops are a circle not a cross.

@@MarkeMcCracken it says give way to the right, but this does not apply when someone from a opposite direction is making a left turn. So it kind of indicates that the rule for giving way to opposing traffic supersede the rules for giving way to the right.

@@A.Martin This is a 4-Way STOP sign. Therefore ALL vehicles must stop. Once the right of way is established by the first car going, no matter which car that is, the right-of-way will always be in effect and you are supposed to yield to the vehicle that has the right-of-way. Only ONE vehicle should be moving in the intersection at a time regardless of how it is being manuevered. Straight, left or right does not matter. If you have the right-of-way, you have the intersection. Once the car on your right goes, then it is your turn to go in whichever direction you want to go. After you go, the car to your left (from their perpective you are on their right) would go. So, in this example, all cars arrived at the same time. So they would all look at each other and one of them would eventually go. This is the informal agreement that would establish the right-of-way. Once that initial car goes, the cycle starts clock wise, with that vehicle. Whoever's right hand side that car went from would go next and so on around the circle. Stop signs are circles not crosses. So as you sit at the interseciton, if the car on your right goes, that makes you the next car in line and gives you the right-of-way, which is not superceded by any other driver's intended change of direction.

@@MarkeMcCracken as I say though, yellow must also give way to green, giving way to your right is not the only rule in effect.
