For people actually trying to figure out what to play: Dont focuse on the "Favored class" part, because in PF you can play as what you like as what ever ancestry. There is a reason why you first choose a ancestry, background and THEN the class you can take 2 panelties to gain one bonus, so you can still get a 18 in any stat you like

Yeah, but. If I'm new and I want to play a barbarian, and all I know is I want the ancestry that will give me the best barbarian possible...like, someone should tell me that pretty early on. THEN I can start getting creative if I want. I appreciate people trying to make PF2E sound like a wide open sandbox, but please remember decision paralysis is a thing, and not every new player responds well to "read this whole book and pick from these options". Suggestions on the best classes for an ancestry or vice versa can be a big help.

She's a Giant Instinct Barbarian. I wanted to make a small character with that subclass, to maximize the size disparity when using a weapon designed for a large character. And a goblin fits that perfectly, first because of no Strength flaw, but also it fits with the goblin personality in general.

The fact that you didn't list Swashbuckler as a Favored Class for Goblin is a affront. DEX + CHA which is very good for them, Unbreakable Goblin giving them 10 HP and with it's feat combined with that nets you a bonus to Tumble Through and reduced fall damage for when your class and race's penchant for hijnks leads to you falling inevitably. Plus you're a goblin styling on fools as you flip around. It's pretty much the optimum race for Swashbuckler and that's hilarious.

The Lost Omens Ancestry Guide added some neat feats for Tengu that let them cast spells through a Feather Fan. When they do so, they can use their Class DC instead of the normal spell DC. Which means Tengu fighters, barbarians, and Champions can cast spells that get better as they get stronger (literally).

One thing you forgot to mention is the optional 2 additional flaws to get one more boost. You can stack both flaws when applied to a stat boosted by your ancestry, so that STR boost that's not doing anything for your Orc Wizard? Turn it into a flaw and Boost Dex or Con along with Int. You can also stack free ancestry boosts as long as they're going into a flaw. Want a Dwarf sorcerer? Put optional flaws in Str and Wis and put both free boosts in Cha. Basically, you can't leave the ancestry step with less than 8 or more than 12, but the additional flaws option basically lets *any* stat be 18 on *any* ancestry, and you can just sacrifice a boosted stat you don't care about to get there sometimes (like the Orc wizard)

The problem with having so many choices is you never get attached to your character. Building the character is 90% of the fun and the other 10% is trying it out. After that, your soon on to the next experiment. Instead of playing a generic character and building into.something amazing that is uniquely yours, your given everything up front with little reason to explore beyond advancing to the next level for more customization. This sucks as a GM because players are constantly adjusting and scrapping characters and there is very little you can do to reward your players for their achievements beyond leveling them. Sometimes less is more.

Never go wrong with Elf for me, the perk of being able to be smug with short lived creature never gets old and I can never get enough of caster play.

If Catfolk did not get a boost to Cha, I would be very disappointed. Even as humanoids, I would want to pet every catfolk I see.

I have a dwarf monk focusing on Gorilla Stance and Athletics. It’s amazing, but the 20 speed is frustrating. Eyes on the prize, though. He will get much faster.

11:05 I can only hear the bird when I put my headphones on. On my speakers, even when I crank the volume. I can't hear it over the sound of the fan on low in my room.

" *little big* red subscribe button with a bell next to it" That's a way to phrase it. Also orc druids are great, you can bonk people on the head and take all the shaman/soothsayer feats and be all mystical and stuff

I usually go human or human-adjacent, like the half-elf heritage. When most people are playing zoofolk, being human is the unique choice.

While they're not great at 1st level. I'd really like to play a Dwarf monk. The slow speed hurts at first level, but the monk speed boost makes up for it.

Not to further cement my reputation as That Guy Who Talks About Champions ™ or anything, but Halflings make fantastic Liberators, especially if you build them ranged style. Liberator is a pretty niche Champion Cause, but if you're in a game where you know it would be helpful to have someone who can delete crowd control and also serve as the party's face, you could do worse than a Halfling Liberator.
