All humans are haunted by something if they carry the past forward. Mick's walk is to inspire you to touch the earth and let the cells on your naked sole pick up the powerful signal coming from the land, helping you to ground and deepen your sole purpose.

Lisa L. Gove almost all the things on the show were fake. they put rice on shit and called it maggots, put wax worms on a dead beaver and called em maggots, mealworms in a log and called them grubs, brought frozen crabs from pick n save and pretended they were alive and caught while fishing, bought night crawlers at the bait shop and sprinkled them on the ground, I could go on for days. do not count on most of his methods you will starve to death lol.

Sadly, Lisa, if you do a tiny bit of research, you will find Mick lives with a gf in a house with heat, and the crabs were indeed frozen. :/ It's a great show and I love it. But, it's entertainment, not advice on real life in a rainforest. :/

The filmed 3 seasons and turned it into 5 and run occasional marathons. The challenge with TV is that it follows a strict drama formula and Mick wanted to share teachings of the earth (which have plenty of drama, but in a way that Nat Geo felt didn't fit their audience profile) Given the fan base its too bad they didn't take a chance. This is why I follow Mick around with a camera - because a 'Show' always shows up :)

If you could only see what got edited out - that was the real story. the songs, poems and love of the earth, it was special, but not of interest to what Nat Geo saw as their macho 'target audience'. even more sad as the fan base had many children, young people, veterans and those who share the love of the land, water, wildlife and air

what do you find in TV that is real? Esp since it is paid for by companies that want your money so they keep raising the bar on what will get your attention, assuming the audience is superficial at best. This is why the real story of Mick Dodge is found in his walk in the land, so he can understand and that is why he agreed to do the show, not realizing how contrived the TV industry was and that they edit the footage to fit their formula. This is why these videos that I have posted since 1994, tell the real story. The TV show got your attention - now it is up to you to 'find the show'. follow YOUR feet and the EARTH will teach...

This guy is a marketing genius. It's kinda sad tho that Natl.Geo. has fallen prey to the Democratic partys only successful social experiment...the dumbing down of America. It's been a resounding success. We've raised a generation of snowflkes who believe whatever reality tv suggests is reality.
