Where is Russia's ‘PAK DA’ Stealth Bomber?

Save 20% on your system and your first month is free when you sign up for Fast Protect Monitoring at simplisafe.com/task
Pak Da is a Russian acronym for “'Prospective aviation complex for long-range aviation” which is far less catchy. The strategic stealth bomber aircraft claims it will have a range of 7,500 miles (12,000 kilometers), and the ability to remain in the air for 30 hours, Hypothetically speaking , if that accurate, in theory, the the Pak Da could hypothetically almost carry a nuclear warhead from Moscow to New York City without the need to refuel until they were back over the Atlantic ocean. Do you like how many qualifying statements I packed into der?
Compare that to the estimated 2,500 mile range of the new American B-21 or possible 5,200 mile range of China’s H-20 and you can understand why some experts are very skeptical while others are claiming it will be the most lethal stealth bomber ever produced. In this video I want to examine what makes this aircraft unique compared to Russia’s existing strategic bomber fleet, if it would be useful to them in Ukraine, and I want to analyze how the Pak Da might fit into Russia’s larger air and nuclear strategy.
This is the (too-POH-lev) Tupolev Design Bureau, just east of downtown Moscow along the banks of the (YAW-zah) Yauza River. (zoom into the company using google earth or maps, then show the photos of the company using this link). Tupolev is Russia’s state-owned aerospace defense design company. It specializes in long-range aviation. Founded in 1922 Tupolev has designed over 100 models for both civilian and military aircraft. This includes all of Russia’s bomber aircraft from the Tu-160 to the Tu-2 of World War II. Source here. Russia’s attempts to match the stealth bomber capability for the first time hit the ground started as early as 2007. But it was in 2008 when Tupolev received the financing to design the Pak Da. Then by April of 2014 Mikhail Pogosyan, head of Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation, announced that Tupolev had finalized the initial designs and were moving on to the construction of a prototype.

There is absolutely no way the B21 only has a range of 2500 miles. The B2 has a range of 6000 miles, The B52 has a range of 8800 miles, and the B1 has a range of 7500 miles. They are not replacing the B1 and B2 with a "long range bomber" that only has 1/3 of their range. A simple google search shows Popular Mechanics estimates that the B21 has a range of 6500 miles which is probably fairly accurate given the range of the other long range bombers currently in use by the USA. A range of 2500 miles would barely be enough to fly from New York to LA or from LA to Hawaii.

But we eventually got our hands on one and figured out quickly that it was a heavy slow bird. So what did you expect less than a small bomber weighing just 12,723 t with a payload of 73,321 t and an operational range of 232.227 nm at a service ceiling of 534.877 ft. I have seen it once before initial powerup. Since then it was never seen again and only the engineering crew has goggles to see all the work left. Delivery to the Luftwaffe starts hard scheduled on July 7th and it is planned to make it appear on July 14th over the US capitols to fade again.

production of modern equipment is hard and takes time. The T-14 is 10 years old yet suffers the same problems your describing, its taken 2 years into Ukraine for Russian industry to kick into second gear and sustained their tank fleet in some limited capacity in this prolonged war. Take into account Tanks have a much lower bar to entry than a stealth fighter, so the fact that the US can produce 190 is impressive, even if it should probably be outputting closer to 750. Russia should be glad America is this inefficient, even now the American air force would wipe the floor, imagine if America gets into a modern war and we learn how to produce at peak efficiency like we did during world war 2?

@@corneliusmcmuffin3256 ,,production of modern equipment is hard and takes time" Dang I wish most of you guys realised that when the Armata and su57 came out. Though I think you will get it when the russians start to laugh about the 10 pathers, 5 chally 3 and the 20 at best new gen abrams are all that western armies can muster. It has taken 2 years nope less than a year to start mass producing stuff and start going back to the soviet capabilities. Though if in an all out war, the russians can in a matter of months do that, build back the factories and machines, get the personal and soldier. You know why ? Because they are in full control of their MIC, the west isnt. In russia its a matter of national security, in the west its a business, thats that major difference The armat wss presented 10 years ago just like the germans presented their new panther which will come into existence in about 10 years from now IF everything goes smoothly, IF ! The armata finished its trials in late 2022, since then there have been rumors for its mass production but nothing concrete, the russians would probably hide the real numbers built for a reason. They posted 190 over the course of 15 years if the full plan for production was to be realised it would have taken more than 2 trillion dollars and up to 2030 yo 2040 to complete the 750 units. America would not be able to do anything because the only way for them to utilise most if their airforce is via the bases in europe and their carriers, since the cold war countermeasures for both have been created, from the high tech subs to the carrier killers to the tactical nukes carrier by supersonic missiles.

Plenty of material on that. The Philipino dictators want all that sea to themselves for their broke country. (turns out remaining feudal in 2024 doesn't work, who knew?) So they illegally stranded a navy ship in Chinese territory, manned it and now claim to have a military base there and claim 200 miles in every direction as theirs. China doesn't like people threatening its lifeline trade and wouldn't mind finding some oil or gas so they don't 100% rely on imports, so they claim the maximum and some more besides. China also doesn't like Moscow's obedient servants in Ho Chi Minh city This could be taken care of in five minutes if they made a deal to never tax or threaten Chinese shipping and agree to sell whatever they find in the sea without blockade or boycot, but hey, dictators be dictators and if Duterte Junior goes against the feudal elite to fix the underlying issues, he'd 'accidentally fall out of a window' in mere days. So it'll continue for a while.

Every country's media is little biased. But Russia State Media just speaks complete lies and nonsense. America has a hundred different media sources. Russia has four or five State controlled media. Outlets, They are even trying to stop independent media on the internet for people to watch and listen to. Now I agree that on KZread, most of it is not true, but you should still have the freedom of choice, to decide to watch it or not.
