Isn't it fascinating that none of the verses they cited talks about an immortal soul? Instead, some of them talked about the soul dying. The very thing immortal souls don't do.

I find it despicable. The idea of an immortal soul is Satan's original lie repackaged. It is part of the reason the Bible says he is " misleading the entire inhabited earth". Most of humanity believes this lie.

The is early Catholic view based on Greek thought. Go to the Hebrew to understand the Biblical concept NEPHESH.

Thank you for that Reverend that's why near death experiences hers see what Macy yes they are a spirit and I even got photos in videos I have captured of spirit leaving the body I see it I am a medium I had this gift when I came back from my near death experience

Just because there is "life after death" before the resurrection it does not therefore mean the soul has to live forever AFTER the resurrection - because Jesus explicitly stated that - for some people - both body and soul would be destroyed in Gehenna after the resurrection.

Gehenna is permanent death. Hades is the common grave of mankind, and those in Hades have the resurrection hope. Hades will one day be done away with (Revelation 20:13,14)

That is not the same as an immortal soul. Adam would have lived forever had he not sinned. That does not mean he was immortal, only that he would not have died. There were 2 trees in the garden, the tree of knowledge good and bad and the tree of life. There was no need for a tree of life if he was already immortal.

Unfortunately the conclusions in this video are based on pagan derived tradition and not the bible. Death is not when the soul leaves the body, because man is a soul consisting of the physical body and spirit(breath of God). And as mentioned in the video: when man dies the body goes back to the soil while the spirit returns to God. But this is not OUR spirit, or consciousness! It's the breath of God which makes human a living soul. It's the same with animals, they are living souls as well. If the soul consists of the body and spirit/God's breath, and the body goes to the soil and the spirit to God, what happens to the soul? IT CEASES of course. The idea of soul separating from the body is not supported in the bible. The idea of the immortal soul derives from greek mythology and not the bible. Immortality is in the bible only promised to the saved, never to the lost. And in the scriptures we read that as well good and bad will be dead in their graves until the judgment day. Those who received the free gift of salvation will get eternal life, while those who did not received it will perish in the lake of fire and be no more.

Can the spirit what's gone back to God talk to the Living what am I trying to say can the Dead talk to the living yes they do

Steven, we fully believe the living and dead can communicate. That is presented as a truth throughout the Bible. However, the scriptures also tell us that this is something God doesn't want his people to participate in. Leviticus 19:31 - Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God. In 1 Samuel 28 we have a record of one of God's prophets being brought back for King Saul. No good comes of it and it is played out what would later be said by the prophet Isaiah during another time of trouble. Isaiah 8:19 - And when they say to you, “Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,” should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living? So, yes we can talk to the dead, but it is not condoned by God.

Sorry, no. If you are correct then God is a liar. God told Adam "From dust you are, and to dust you will return". Also, "For the living know that they will die, but the dead KNOW NOTHING,...for there is no work, or thought, or knowledge or Wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going' (Ecclesiastes 9:5,10). "The early Christian philosophers adopted the Greek concept of the soul's immortality and thought of the soul as being created by God and infused into the body at conception" The new Encyclopedia Britannica (1988) Volume 11, page 25. It's a pagan doctrine my friend. So is Hellfire.

Isaiah 53. Its the carnal flesh (soul) that we must crucify not physical flesh. Isaiah 53 is clear. As it was for Jesus Romans 1:3-4. No one else can it for you. Then we are transformed by the holy spirit of the father and we become a spiritual being (put on the new spiritual man) even while in this body. Then we NEVER DIE. As Jesus said. Only the born again live forever. No one else. They go to the eternal grave at the judgement. Hades. People need to buy hebrew/greek bible dictionaries.

We would encourage you to consider the context of Ecclesiastes. In chapter 9 it is the musings of a teacher/philosopher considering what the meaning of life is. It isn't a book containing final statements of truth, especially not at that point in the book. The writer of that book says he is testing the limits of earthly pleasures and wisdom (2:1). Then at the end of the book in 12:13 he makes the only real statement of truth - "fear God and keep his commandments." It is very similar to the book of Job in that respect. There are statements made by God that are facts and truths, but the discussion between the friends are not the truth of the matter. In fact they are explicitly pointed out as erroneous when God speaks.

That's the importance of believers receiving new heavenly bodies that will not die. And then for God to keep and preserve us in the safety of His presence.. He's not going to give everyone immortality then say "just kidding, most of you are gonna burn forever. Have fun! And try not to scream too loud we're trying to relax up here.." no where in the Bible does it say God will intentionally keep people alive just so He can torture them endlessly for all time what kind of god would do that, and how would that god not be more evil then the people he's torturing? Jesus said fear not man who can kill your body but not your soul, fear He who can destroy both body and soul.. destroy.. not keep alive for torture.. it won't be fun.. it'll last as long for each person as is the wages of their sin.. but I can't believe it'll be eternal conscious torment by my own rational mind but especially by scriptures.. and there are a lot of scriptures people twist.. but I don't know why people want to believe something so horrible so badly..

@@Keldren. I agree with you about what you say about Hell. But most people will be resurrected to life back here on Earth in fleshly bodies (Albeit a Paradise Earth). Remember: God's original purpose for the Earth was to be inhabited. And, had they not sinned, Adam and Eve would still be with us today! We don't need Spirit bodies to be immortal.

"If I have a soul so do all animals". Humans are made from dust Gen 2:7;3:19 we are not spirits living in a body of flesh. We are physical creatures, so no part of us survives death. When we die our brains die too, and our thoughts perish. Thus Lazarus Said nothing about his experience of death because the dead are unconscious. Psalms 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5-10 Bible Gateway Romans 8 :: NIV. because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. What is the condition of the dead? Does God torment people with fire after death? Since the Bible shows that the dead are unconscious, hellfire is clearly an erroneous teaching that slanders God. The very idea of tormenting people with fire disgust him - Jeremiah 7:31. What hope is there for the dead? Who will even return to life? 1. Millions of people who are dead in the (GRAVE) will return to life on earth. Even some who did not know God & who practiced bad things will be resurrected LK 23:43; Acts 24:15. What does the resurrection tell us about Jehovah? 2. God made hope for the dead possible by sending his Son to die for us. So the resurrection tells us about Jehovah's love and undeserving kindness. When the dead return to life, who do you especially want to see? John 3:16-17; Romans 6:23

My dear friend I am a near death experience I died 28 years ago I came out of my body I Saw The Light I felt the light I felt the love of the light I went into a beautiful tunnel and travelled and I went to that other world and yes I came face-to-face with our Lord Jesus Christ we do have a spirit in please let nobody tell you otherwise when you are on your deathbed your loved ones I'll be there for you you will see the other world you must have heard and near-death experiences deathbed visions people are dying it's not Satan's work
